+ 2 Am I the only one who would be concerned?
I've just seen it again today, and have seen quite a few times over the past couple years. People posting up pics of gear they are just extatic about. Why are they extatic about it?
They didnt even order it or know it was coming!
This raises some issues with me. First off, that source clearly has your info sitting around and that makes me uneasy. Sources I have dealt with on dozens of occasions need to ask me for my address EVERY TIME!
Another concern with this situation is the fact that there is a pack, en route to your residence which contains things that may or may not be legal and you have no idea its coming, whats in it, how much is in it, when its coming ..... you get the point.
Perhaps Im being paranoid here but I would not be thrilled about the free gear, I would be irate regarding the irresponsibility.

Surprise steroids would freak me out.
Part of a promo a while back was to place an order of a certain size with the supplier and then one could participate in the promo. I remember I had to order 1 amp of something to get the exact order amount. The order arrived as it should but that one amp came months later by itself. Took me a few minutes to realize what it was.
I received a packet of halo out of the blue last year.... no idea where it came from.... mana from the sky!

Ah, since you mention Balkan, and the amount received, I could very well know the promo in question. From a very legitimate source if it's the one I'm thinking of. I had some gear come once from a source unexpectedly, it was literally the same order I had received two weeks before, and I never asked for a reship or complained about my t/a. The source turned out a shit load of bad gear then took off, robbing tons of people, so I literally just tossed like 16 vials cuz I wasn't sure why I got all the free shit when no one else got packs, and what it could possibly be...usually the old adage of "too good to be true" is accurate so I didn't want to risk it.

Last summer I was included on a promo, which I received and was very happy to be included in on. About 3 weeks after receiving my gear I received another pack. After jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas, I took a step back and assessed the situation and my first instinct was its a mistake. So I posted pics and sure as shit some dude was like hey that's weird that's what I ordered, it was seized, I'm waiting on a reship. I contacted the SRC and sure as shit he got us mixed up. I first told him how bad his packing stunk. Literally, stunk to high heaven of guaiacol. I'm almost surprised my mailman didn't comment on the stench. I then went on a tirade about how he should not be keeping customer info. I was heated that my info was not immediately destroyed after shipment. Well the SRC went in about how it's no big deal in his country. I restated the American governments thoughts and opinions on AAS, and we parted ways. To my knowledge he merged with another bumbling SRC on here, and people are still having shipment issues. I have to totally agree with you in this post, unsolicited freebies should not be celebrated.

I think a lot of them are reships. People call a source out on T/A or customs and the source reships...boom unexpected pack (the original order that got stuck) shows up a month or so later. Maybe problems with the websites also, unfortunately addresses and order numbers get mixed. One time I had an overseas order and the invoice number I was provided stated I was being sent a pack I would of had to sell my first born to afford. But I do feel the same way as you, definitely don't want any of this shit hitting my mailbox or expecting my signature without my knowledge
TronCould it possibly be the source offering free gear to them in exchange for a review and all 10 rating? And because this is against the rules which could ultimately get the source as well as the member banned maybe they were told to lie and say they weren't expecting it. Why in the hell would a source randomly pick a person who previously ordered from them and still have their info on file... send them free gear without contacting them about it first.. I call bullshit.

I've seen similar posts/pics here and there. I have a problem buying the whole premise. Is it possible sources are just sending out random gear, possibly, but not likely. Is it possible that some random people just like to tell stories, more likely.
I've sure never received a surprise package and I don't know of anyone else who has either. I think it would be a very rare occasion that a source would make that kind of mistake. Then again, we don't know what type of idiots were dealing with either....
You do now lol, I got one a few months back. Not quite as clear cut as a surprise package but almost.
I applied for a promo, didn't get in but later the source decided to add another bunch of people who didn't get in the first time round but didn't contact to say their was a thing on its way.
I was happy sure, but if I was living with a gf who had know idea what I was into, or had promised that I wouldn't use again and she got the pack it would open a massive shit hole for me or others.
Never even thought about that!! My other half knows everything down to the last tidbit but the majority of my boys keep it a secret, that would certainly not end well for them.
That is a plausible story. It's concerning on several levels, but at least it has an explanation.
I put quite a bit of time into research before I order and that seems to take some of the problems out, but like I said earlier, we never know who we're dealing with. Could be some 22 year old, living in his parents attic. :-)
