Tor

ad

Given the diminishing number of domestic sources, I think it is time for the PED world to move to the Tor network.

Eroids led the way to accurate reviews 7 years ago, while all other sites are basically unchanged.

I think it's time to start educating PED users on how to use VPNs, Tor, and PGP encryption. Eroids is uniquely poised to lead this charge. Simply creating a Tor/Onion mirror is a great way to start. A subforum on operational security, with stickies on recommended VPN services, how to use the Tor browser, and how to use PGP encryption, could be a great start.

I don't think this is too much trouble, and it would overall benefit everyone. Thanks for reading!

I think the bust of CENSORED is proof that domestic sources that do no operate with full opsec procedures in place are just waiting to get busted.

An interesting idea but there's no point in eroids having a tor/onion mirror unless all the sources on here do the same thing because at the end of the day its the sources that are selling the PED's not eroids.
If we used PGP when sending messages on here we could get up to all kinds of shady shit because the mods couldn't read the messages , begging for free gear , gear for reviews etc.
For signing in PGP would be great because no one could ever hack your account .

You misunderstand the purpose of PGP. The issue we have before us is the number of domestic vendors have dwindled to almost nothing. PGP encryption internally is not required as eroids is not an escrow service, but forcing vendors to use PGP encryption in their ordering process - ESPECIALLY for buyer addresses - would raise the bar considerably for safety.

The issue here is the number of domestic vendors are declining rapidly due to law enforcement action, and that is because most vendors are not using commonly available security precautions. They are getting busted because it is easy to trace their web traffic and hack their websites and find shipping information that is not encrypted with PGP. Raids are performed, and we lose yet another vendor.

I do believe BFG and Eroids has the power and authority to force vendors onto the Tor network over time. But the first step is having an eroids mirror on Tor. Give vendors 6 months. Honestly, if a vendor can't figure out how to setup a Tor site, they probably shouldn't be trusted anyway.

If that's the way it looks to you, then perfect...thats the way it's going to be because you'll never be able to change the site administrators mind... Smile

And this is your opinion...or is it fact based off what?

Agreed

I would trust BFG's decision on the direction he wants to take EROIDS,.......... over that of a short term (3 weeks) negative karma member.

Overreact much? You've been warned before

Oh great!! Another keyboard warrior jumping up and down with his pom poms.....

Looks like you'll need to register for another account....betta hurry...

You'll learn to keep your negative profane comments and unjustified illegitimate debates out of this community...

Is this really a constructive criticism? Simply look at this site. The number of domestic sources are a fraction of what they were 7 years ago. Most reviews are by people with little "karma". I've long since given up participating on this site as constructive discourse invariably results in just this kind of response.

BFG did something remarkable 7 years ago, but the world and the internet has changed. This site has almost become irrelevant for determining the legitimacy of domestic vendors.

As a general rule in life, when someone presents to you a well-reasoned argument, with clearly good intentions, does it not make more sense to simply either refrain from responding, or posit a counter argument? Attacking the person because of an arbitrary rating system does not seem to serve any constructive purpose.

How many sources do you need? You statistics about the drop in sources is antidotal at best. It's harder and more expensive to set up a scam site than in the past as well as LE involvement.

Eroids is a review site.
It is passive and has no relationship to the sources.
Sales are not conducted on this site.
Eroids does not broker create escrows or in any way get involved with whatever you do on a sources site.

How do you think that status would change if we started acting like a mob boss teaching and forcing sources to go underground to better hide from LE?

You assume Eroids is US based. DOM to eroids members would be a global effort.

This is the best response so far. Thank you. I have assumed Eroids is US based, and you are correct that scam sites are more difficult now. But, I can see your point about acting like a "mob boss".

Thank you for the thoughtful, courteous response.

And so your back to be disappointed some more...or you have nothing better to do?

What's the purpose of your post, especially if you have given up long ago? Smile

I have always admired the direct the site took initially. At the time, it was nothing short of revolutionary. I've given up in the sense I source my own raws, but there is a place for a public service like this. It's amazing how many "steroid" sites literally look like they are straight out of 1995. It's embarrassing.
