+ 1 The workouts you don’t want to do.

ad

Went to six flags with the family yesterday. We were there 8 hours.
I was so wore out when I got home I couldn’t do anything but shower and go to bed. The last thing I wanted to do this morning was wake up at 6am and hit the gym.

I did anyway. Driving to the gym thinking about how I really didn’t want to do this and casually telling myself SHUT UP BITCH.

I had a great workout. Increase weight on every single exercise. Endurance was on par. Smashed today. Left the gym so pumped. Truly feeling like a god. Ready to tackle anything today.

On those days when the BITCH inside of you is saying “oh it’s okay to skip one day”

Shut the bitch up and go do work.

The best drug in the world is finishing a workout you didn’t want to do.

Some of the best lifting sessions I've ever had, seemed to always be those days when I'm trying to talk myself out of it. I've learned that the days I don't want to be there are the ones where I need it the most.

I can’t remember the day I regretted working out even when I didn’t want to. But days I can’t make it to the gym, I end up feeling like shit.

i get this way sometimes when i do my high volume arms and shoulder routine. sometimes, including drop sets it can get into the 45+ set range and its brutal mentally but like you said... when you leave feeling like an actual beast of the woods... its magic

I just did not expect to feel so “on” today. I was expecting a horrible off day.

I’m still amped up and my workout was over 2 hours ago.

to add to that, sometimes my best lifts are when i go at a different time. im normally an afternoon guy but here and there i gotta go at 4am and it really can be my best. its weird, essentially fasted and still tired but when you get in there and flip the switch things change
