+ 20 The things that really matter

ad

My juice bros… just wanted to share a little reflection today.

Last week, my oldest son graduated from high school.

Life has a funny way of reminding us what’s actually important. We spend so much time fighting battles … work, family, health, finances, the gym, our own minds … that sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate the small victories along the way.

This is one of those victories.

I know graduation isn’t the finish line. It’s just the beginning of a much longer road. But every meaningful journey deserves to have its milestones celebrated.

As a father, my goal has never been for my kids to become copies of me. It’s for them to become better than me.

Thankfully… that’s a pretty achievable goal. lol

Something I’ve realized over the years is that I naturally give far more weight to the bad moments than the good ones. The mind has a tendency to cling to problems as if they deserve all our attention.

But the truth is, none of us are here forever.

Whether you’re a philosopher who says we get around 4,000 weeks… or a meathead running enough compounds to negotiate with Father Time… our time is still limited.

So celebrate the small wins.

Hit a PR? Growth phase done ? Another cutting for summer season ? Celebrate it.
Finished a hard week? Celebrate it.
Watched your kid reach a milestone? Definitely celebrate it.

Those moments are what make the difficult ones worth carrying.

Enjoy your Sunday, my big bros.

My E2 is under control. Love y’all

Yes sir! Just had my 1st child a few months ago and the emotions I’ve experienced are unlike anything else. Never thought I’d be more happy for someone than myself and my son truly makes me feel that way.

Congrats Panda! Strong and present fathers my man. Love to see another juice bro being a great father and leading his family.

Nice 1 Buddy - I wasn't aware you had kids actually!!

Absolutely pal, don't ever wish your life away in the quest for bigger and better things constantly - I have always been guilty of this rather than just stopping and taking a look around at everything that is currently going well. This lifestyle can honestly become ridiculously over obsessive at times wanting for whatever level you aren't currently at. I use to drive around asking myself why can't I get 8 reps with 405 like that Prick on Youtube can - when the reality now is that I'd love to be able to just go into my weights room and be able to do just 1!!!! LOL

I've begun prioritizing my family a lot more now instead of thinking 'I'll fit that person in if I'm not due to be training that day' LMAO

Congrats to your son for graduating and to you for raising a kid you are obviously proud of. My E2 is also under control but this made me a little teary eyed. I have a two year old who starts preschool tomorrow and even though you and I are on different stages of fatherhood, the passing of time hits the same. Cheers bro and thanks for being a good dad
