+ 1 Girl friend question…. Doctor advice or as close as I can get would be amazing lol
So I’m dating this girl. She’s amazing. After my divorce I lost my shit but with the gym and AAS I found my way again. I met a girl and she’s been in her own journey. She’s was 250 got down to 180 and now she’s back to 230 and yes it seem like wow she’s big but she doesn’t carry it like u would think… anyway she just started semiglutide or however u spell it but I’ve been talking to her about RETA and I’ve got a bunch of it and she’s interested but I have a few concerns about having her start it. First she has Hashimoto’s disease . And I was wondering if anyone could help with any advice if it’d be ok for her to use? Like
I said she’s already taken a glp1 and I know it’s better with drs advice but Reta isn’t approved yet obviously so I’m asking on here. And second she had hyperthyroidism so any info u could share would be appreciated. Yes I know i should speak to a doctor. So please leave that comment for someone else…

Reta could probably help her lose weight. A lot of people with Hashimoto’s still use GLP-1s/tirz type compounds without issues. But with her thyroid history and the hyperthyroidism stuff, I’d definitely make sure her labs are stable first and take it slow if she ever tries it. RETA seems to hit harder than sema for a lot of people, especially with appetite suppression and sides.
Also, and I mean this respectfully, the bigger long term thing is learning how to eat in a sustainable way. One of the reasons people regain weight after GLP-1s is because the drug was controlling appetite for them, but they never really built habits they could maintain off the medication.
As someone who lost over 100 pounds and has kept it off for several years, I learned to focus on:
high protein intake
whole foods most of the time
learning portion control
not drinking calories constantly
building muscle and staying active
fixing emotional/stress eating habits
finding meals they can actually stick to long term
The peptide can absolutely be a tool, but if the eating habits don’t change underneath it, the rebound can be rough once the appetite comes back.
Best shot I ever had came off a girl that was 230+
Nah brother, youre about this all wrong. Keep your laddy chubby. Fat chicks rule.
I didn’t say I want that she does
side note, has she tried using low dose naltrexone to help manage the hashimotos symptoms?
There's no direct contraindications for hashimotos and reta. You mentioned she has HYPERthyroidism? are you sure it's not hypo? Normally someone with hyperthyroidism has a hard time with weight control in the opposite direction and lose weight easily. Of course people with Hashis also can switch back and forth between hyper and hypo which has to be difficult to deal with.
Hypo my bad
In your other post you said you got Reta for her and how she will be transitioning... ? ...
Idk if ur trying to be funny or what…. From semi to Reta is the transition…. Not trans in the way ud want but very witty u are buddy….
ruhhh rohhh scooby lol
Hmmmm
Why have her switch? See if the Semaglutide works first
She had a hard time not getting sick when taking it after 1 mg
i dont know much about the 3 "tides" but im pretty sure tirz has the least side effects of the 3. i think reta actually has the most sides out of the 3, but i could be wrong about my second statement about the reta. but almost certain about the tirz. and she may also want to start lower than 1mg and work up in dosages and see if she gets used to it that way.
Yea I mean the Va has her going from .5 to 1 then back to .5 and round and round cause if she stays at 1 mg for too long she gets sick
