+ 13 2 Mainstream Training “Facts” I Can’t Fucking Stand!!!!
- “You don’t need to train front delts, they get worked plenty with pushing movements”
Yea, they get worked. Will this make them fully developed? No. I bought this bs for years, and the second I tapped into actually hitting my front delts (which is still pretty minimal) it completely changed my look. I feel like this myth comes from the fact that people neglect tf out rear delts, and that is usually the head that needs the most work. They are such a small muscle that people either don’t hit at all or hit it too heavy, causing the traps to take over.
- “Having an arm day is pointless and a waste of time. Hit some biceps at the end of your back training, and triceps at the end of your push/chest training.”
No. You will not fully develop your arms this way. If they aren’t hit fresh you aren’t getting max stimulus. You can be happy/satisfied with your arm growth without an arm day, and that’s great, then don’t implement one. But for those of us who want them as Lee Priest like as possible, they need to be hit fully isolated. I have yet to see one person with arms I’d truly want that says this shit. Solid development? Sure. My goal arms? Hell no.

Funny thing is the most balanced body builders that never won Olympia were are shoulder arm dominant....Kevin levorone lee priest Paul dillet .... Others those guys are known for freak limbs small waist ...they needed more chest and back id rather look like those 3 than ronnie or dorian ... My 2 cents .. lee particular had a average pro chest but due the arms shoulders legs dude was like a mini he man
I agree. When I first started I read Ron Harris’ book. I don’t remember what it was called but he says in there not to train arms because you’re taking resources from other body parts recovery. So I listened and my first couple years didn’t do much arm work. Mistake. I’m 6’3” so after awhile it became very apparent that this was bad advice for me because my arms are so long that even now at just about 20” they look behind. My issue with a lot of these statements is they lack nuance. Everything is context dependent
Exactly. It’s relative, people speak too much as if it’s an ultimate fact. The second I hear “you don’t need to isolate ______” I laugh. There is no reason why you shouldn’t hit anything when you’re bodybuilding
To be fair, sometimes it's just flat out hard to fit it all in. I always PLAN to have an arm day, but then one late day at work throws the whole fuckin week off and for some reason I always cut arm day first.
But same as @Notmelgibson, I'm 6'3" so keeping arms from looking lanky is tough. Long levers n all.
I do need to make them more of a priority tho for sure.

"For just the cost of a cup of coffee a day, you can provide life-saving food, water, steroids and growth hormone to this child in need. Please don't look away, Contact @UncleYoked on your screen right now to sponsor this child"
When u realize some regions in the world can’t afford steroids it really puts things into perspective
I just talked to a dude from a third world country yesterday that re-uses all his needles. He counts his alcohol swabs and buys them individually.
See we don’t have it so bad
They got it hard in London these days.
people saying this always look like shit and are fat lazy
Pete you fucking stud!!
I completely agree with the front delts and arms bro.
Why so mad bro. Lol. Chill. Lol. Looking good man.
Jane is backkkkkk @Milfpounder
Every time I feel like eroids is falling off, Jane Fonda pops In and makes me believe again...
Yea automatically revived
I agree with you on both points. The first comes from the minority of people who struggle to develop their chest due to anatomy which overemphasizes the front delts on pushing movements. I fit into that category and have had to put a lot of effort into chest training. The second comes from the fact that dudes with underdeveloped physiques overall are probably best served by focusing on chest, back, and legs.
I'm the opposite. I could probably train chest 2x a month and it stays pretty aight. My arms are a bitch to grow tho. Plus my elbows are always kinda sore. I'm old also so helps explain it. I'm @Petecastiglione real father.
How old are you Milky?
Hell YES another oldie like me! Isn’t it crazy being in shape at 40yrs? I am 43 and I can tell you that most people at age 40 have let themselves go to shit.
Did I say 40? I mean 29 my bad hahaha.
Yea man getting older happens In a fuckin hurry.
Dammm made serious gains, straight up Giga-Chad
I owe it all to camel non filters. Also @Jrihard89 said I look like Hunter Biden so I'm gonna get on some cocaine as well.
Do it! The slopes hurt no one
Probably a great cutting agent too most coke heads have 0 percent body fat. Or muscle. But hey we are all on gear
I can tell you this when I tried it a few times back in the day, it will give you the confidence and feel good of the Gods. I never tried it again after the 3rd time because it’s way too addicting.
I’m quite literally scared of how I would react to coke. I don’t need to feel god like, would cause issues
Yes and you feel amazing with it and that is why I never tried it again. Roids thats my drug of choice now and focusing on self improvement and I will support anyone who wants to do that.
How do you get your veins to have veins? That is what I want to know.
For preworkout I take 1/4 tsp (around 500mg sodium), 35g of Gatorade powder, and my preworkout, which has 8g of l-citrulline. Never fails to get some crazy veins if you’re pumped and lean enough. The salt I think makes the biggest difference.
I get crazy veins just with cialis for a pump and I am plenty lean, but Pete has his veins growing veins.
You ever try glycerol monosterate? Best pumps
I never have tried that but there can always be a first time.
Idk but I’ve been leaning out so that helps, I wanna see more. Cialis pre workout and consistent lifting since I was 15 I guess opens them up over time lol
“95% of your life should be centered around finding, and consuming anabolic steroids” - @Milfpounder
Recent studies have concluded that the actual number is 100%.
I fully agree, BIG.
Maximizing hypertrophy is almost like sculpting work. You gotta develop everything from all angles, functions and positions if you truly wanna maximize a physique.
3D shoulders only happen when front, lateral and rear delts are all properly developed and balanced.
And arms are WAY more genetic than people wanna admit too. Some guys build decent arms just from push/pull work because their arms naturally dominate compound movements… but usually that same pattern eventually leaves weak points somewhere else.
That’s why training setup, split, volume and exercise selection should always be individualized based on the person’s structure, weak points, recovery and goals.
But overall I fully agree with your point:
“worked” doesn’t automatically mean “maximally developed”.
And yeah… a lot of these mainstream TikTok “facts” nowadays come from people that don’t even display the physique they’re trying to preach about.
Great write-up brother !
Very well said as always^
Goddamn boy. Huge muscles and nice erect nipples like my penis is now.
Pics or didn’t happen
Couldn’t agree more. I even separate my arm day. Biceps forearms one day, and triceps calf’s a couple days later. Same with legs. Heavy squats one day, accessory work another
Totally ideal imo. Really target that shit. The more isolated the better, that’s bodybuilding for me. I used to power lift competitively it’s quite literally the opposite hahaha
Never done an arm day in my life…. Biceps at the end of pull day. Triceps at the end of push day. Bis and tris at the end of my upper day. I do a Pull Push Legs Upper Lower split. With Thursday and Sunday being no lifting just cardio.
Both of you dudes look fucking solid af…nice job both of ya
With that said… we have conflicting reports of arm day vs no arm day… the battle continues (signal dramatic drum beat)
It’s all opinions at the end of the day, and I speak mine lol
I think everybody responds differently to training and you gotta find what both works for you and makes you enjoy the gym. I’ve trained every split imaginable (except the true body builder kind with an arm day) and what I’ve settled on now keeps me excited to work out. Consistency is 99% of the battle
You look great brother
