There are so many that go to the gym just to say they were at the gym and make no progress or change
There's always some dickhead sitting on the pec dec hogging it on his phone. That pisses me off. Can't even ask the guy if I can jump in with him cause he's not doing anything to jump in on .

I am seriously the only person in the gym sans music. I just never got into lifting and listening to music. I do like music tho. Played guitar my whole life.

The clanking of the plates is like music to me tho so I think I'm getting my music stimulus still haha

I use a smith for most incline work and all of my barbell ohp so I can lock in and save my right shoulder.

Iv always dumbell pressed literally 15 years but the last year dropped them out for Incline Smith or an Incline hammer press and my chest has come on leaps and bounds

Dumbbell pullovers always give me a nice burn for my chest and lats.
On the decline I can get a massive chest squeeze.
You ever try them wide grip with a barbell?

Barbell bench. Pause reps. I start chest day with six sets of pause reps. Then machines and flys. Add volume and intestity. Makes everythibg grow imo. If still lagging drop to 60 seconds rest per set. You will grow. Train harder.
I have a pretty decent chest and I honestly mix it up a lot. i think for overall growth you will need to hit your chest at least twice a week and alternate between strength and hypertrophy.
Time under tension is another big player. Get as much blood in there as possible. So make you're including some very slow negatives with deep stretch at some point in ur sets.
Another big thing is work your back as much as your chest. You need as big of a base as possible to press from, and healthy rear delts. So get your bent over rows in, pullups, rear delt flys etc.
theres a zillion niche moves you can do, but nailing good form and executing perfect reps on the basics is what you should focus hard on until you are stalled out. So flat bench, incline bench, chest dips (eventually weighted), dumbbell press in different angles, flys etc.. should be your staples for now.
