+ 2 Do you workout sick?

You crazy geared up degenerates lift when you're sick? I usually do. I have no idea if it is bad for me, good for me, might make me warp to another dimension, who knows... I do know that sometimes if I have a fever and go at it, it's almost euphoric. But then the aftermath is regrettable. How about you guys? Disclaimer: I lift at home so not spreading germs to anyone.

I train at home so I'm not referring to going to a gym here, I am guessing most other people in the gym would rather you weren't in there even if you just have a cold tbh. Like others are saying here - it depends on how ill you are. I've had Covid several times now and each time its lasted 2 weeks, during the first week I am simply feeling too ill to lift with fever, weakness and sore throat/cough. This year when I got it again I trained on the first day of the second week and then did another 2 sessions just to prove how hardcore I think I am LMFAO But in all honesty all it really did I think was prolong the virus and make it worse - the only benefit was it meant I kept more strength retained than if I didn't lift. Lucky enough for me I also had bronchitis 2 months before I got Covid - Now that Bastard wasn't just an illness that was akin to Living in HELL whilst breathing in battery acid all day long for what it did to my lungs at the time. Somehow I got so frustrated that I did manage to bench 10 days into it puking and coughing and all sorts, but the way I felt for the next 2 days afterwards I really wished I didn't. I left training till the end of the 5th week that I had it and then just did weighted dips and chins and then the illness finally shifted.
I think if you just have a Cold then depending on if you can lift a decent amount then go for it - I have done this countless times and it seems to help shift the illness. But if you have a full on lung virus or norovirus then you are much better leaving things and letting your body get on with fighting it - training is only beating down your immune system and delaying getting better when its that bad.
Depends how sick I am but for the most part I don't because I am weak as fuck when I have tried it in the past.
It really depends how sick but if its bad I wouldn’t train. If I cant go 100% and lift the weights I should be I’ll rest up for next week.
Personally? No. I don't mess around with it because I have a weak immune system. First sign of a sniffle I rest.
2 years ago I kept working out through a flu, and ended up sick for over 30 days, lost all my gains.
It depends how sick. I got young kids who are gross like all little kids and constantly bring shit home from school and give it to me. Most of its minor stuff. Still shitty but I can function. And I always still lift. But on the rare occasion I’m actually sick, no. I had something about 2 months ago. I didn’t really get out of bed for 2 days. Pretty much slept the entire time. Didn’t really eat either, just enough to not throw up the Tylenol I was taking to reduce my fever. No way I could have lifted.
I workout while sick, usually helps me get better faster
BagelsI workout no matter what. I did learn today from my urologist that being sick can lower one’s test levels, even when that test is exogenous. I just had labs done with a wicked staph infection - those fuckers need to stay home from the gym. My test level was 350ng. I am usually 900ng on my dose of 100mg E3D.
Holy hell man. Yeah staph infections can be REALLY bad. That's wild that it dropped ur test that much. In my feeble mind I would have assumed that if ur injecting test, your body has no choice what the levels are lol.
Depends how bad it is. If it's something minor like a cold I workout. Basically if I feel good enough to be up and about working etc yes. If I'm really sick to where I can't eat, or barely get out of bed it's a no go. I feel like at that point it's probably detrimental lol.
