Do you go through primary care doctor and/or insurance for bloodwork?
ad
I'm just wondering what people do for ancillary medical care while doing this? Do you seek out a specialty doctor that works with athletes and is familiar with steroid use, side effects, cycling, etc? Or do you just go to your PCP? Do you tell them you're on gear and what you're on, or do you just ask for specific blood work tests? I'm not too worried telling my doc about starting them, though I think he'd probably try and talk me out of it, but I guess I'm worried that my insurance wouldn't cover tests if they knew I was on steroids. Just wondering how that works.

Pay out of pocket somewhere like Marek health. You can select just the markers you want to check or get a premade panel. If you need help with interpreting results you can always post here and get other people's opinions
Thanks for this reply - found Marek to be quite a bit cheaper than going through my TRT provider or through another lab provider! Good to see that I can order just the markers that I want at a reasonable price point!
Rarely. Once a year for PCP, and also annually for endo now. Used to be every month, and slowly worked to 2, quarterly, biannually, etc.
Once you’re stable and a long time patient (been with him almost 13 years now) are much more lenient. Scripts get called in.
I use my co-pay with both of them.
never, unless it's routine bloods for health but they never check my hormone levels.
AK80You can tell your doc you get TRT from some men's health clinic down in Florida (or another state if you live in Florida). That stuff doesn't show up on your medical records because you usually have to pay out of pocket, because those places are generally profit driven. That's why they try to toss in Arimidex/Aromosin/B12/etc. Your insurance covers at least 1 free full panel blood test per year, but they might charge you extra for other tests like A1C, PSA, etc. depending on your age & sex.
Off cycle or blood tests not including a testosterone test I use PCP. Tests involving testosterone levels use a private lab, its pretty cheap.
I go through my PCP I just 2 days ago sent him a message asking for a blood draw to test my testosterone free&total and he put in the order all I gotta do is go to the lab when I'm ready
I have a PCP and also a VA Dr. and I tell them both of my use. when blasting i pay to get uncapped blood work but before and after cycle I get blood work through my pcp. I'm honest with my drs so if something is way off, they Arnt ordering test trying to figure out what's wrong. Also, I've never heard of a junkie getting kicked off of their medical insurance, so I keep no secrets lol.
I don't tell them because I don't want it on my medical record. You can get your own blood tests by ordering from quest diagnostics or privatemdlabs.com
Fuuuuuuuck no! Hippa laws protect you so go independant with guarded tests and results. If dr puts in notes your tests etc theres the insurance risk management team interested in ONLY cash. They can drop your insurance becsuse your illicit drug use.

Holy shit if you have a dr that you think will do dumb shit like that you should find a new PCP !!!! I have to have trust in the man that looks out for my health so I can tell him when I'm putting synthetic hormones in my body and that's y my bp is elevated
Yeah that’s what I’m worried about. So given the increased potential for serious health complications with PEDs what do you do if you have an emergency?
You tell your dr you decided to get on trt for your own personal reasons he won't tell you you can't do that if he's a good dr and cares about how you feel he should suggest meds that compliment whatever you taking
