How long is too long?
ad
Hey yall
So as I continue to learn about TRT I understand that the prescription is essentially evergreen. Meaning as long as I respond positively and dont have side effects, I can stay on TRT. In only 44 years old meaning i could have 10, 20, 30, 40... years of dosing this left. When I read about cycles it seems people go for 8 to 16 weeks and then take almost as much time off. My questions are; why is it ok for me to take it seemingly forever while others need a break after months and anyone with experience, how long is too long for a TRT dose without having side effects or tolerance that negates the benefit?

Perhaps some of your question is rooted in confusion regarding what "TRT" actually is. Please remember, it is a Testosterone "Replacement Therapy", meaning you are only replacing what you would have normally had, if all other things were healthy in your body. Aging sucks, and it's causing your levels to drop. TRT fixes that. These dosing regimens can continue, indefinitely, because you're staying in a normal range for your body. You shouldn't "take a break" from TRT, because it's actually playing a crucial role for you at this point in your life - it's providing what your HPT axis is no longer doing for you. To drop the TRT, would put you into low T levels, and life would not be fun. If you've got a good endocrinologist, they will monitor your bloodwork and general health, to ensure as you keep aging, all the other systems in your body that are deteriorating because again, hey, aging sucks, that you don't have bad complications because of your stable T levels. As you age, the T levels that are normal for you, may drop bit by bit, so one day you may find your dose a bit too strong, and the doc will adjust accordingly. But they won't take you off, unless you develop something serious, like hormone-driven prostate cancer, for example.
In contrast, a "blast" is WAY more than your body should have. It jacks up all sorts of other signal regulators in your body, your blood pressure, your general central nervous system, etc etc. It's not sustainable indefinitely. Some can take it longer than others, but everyone needs to drop those levels back down again, eventually.
I always believe in taking a break regardless if you’re on trt or not.
You are basically on a maintenance protocol brother. It's a bit different than blasting and stacking multiple compounds at elevated doses. I have sveral buddies that cruise on Drostanolone, Nandrolone and Oxandrolone along with TRT as well. I personally wouldn't cruise on a 19-Nor due to the prolonged suppression once discontinued and prolactin issues, though. Your labs will let you know what you can handle. It's always wise to get your blood work done at least 4x annually
9 inches plus
Pfff, amateur.
Much longer then it becomes a foot. Who needs another foot?
Lmao...Stokes set himself up for that one!
I’m A giver not a taker mate but if your happy taking 9+ then live your best life princess lol
I don't know if I'd say "happy" but if it pays the bills.......
Pmsl
When i get off, they better get off, cause when I get off, I'm getting off.
Trt dose is below 200mg a week, cycle dose is above 200mg a week.
Replacement therapy and cycling are completely different things.
replacement therapy - is used to replace a deficiency in natural testosterone production and is dosed at a level to keep hormones in a normal range with continual blood work checking to negate potential negative effects.
cycling - is used for the intent of building muscle, with dosages intended to elevate levels beyond normal markers for the purpose of building muscle tissue in the body to develop beyond what would be capable otherwise. This presents greater health risks as dosages present the potential to cause adverse effects.
TRT when supervised medically is very safe, that's what the research over the past 20 years has found.
Completely depends on your dosing and labs. Is your “TRT” dose putting your test at 600 or 2000? What do your health markers look like on your current dose? If your running true TRT and just maintaining an optimized test level than I would say there is no reason to cycle off. As long as my health markers remain safe I have no intention of ever coming off of TRT. At this point I probably don’t have an option to not be on some amount of Test.
Whsts your dose. You write like a kindergarden kid stole a sammich
