+ 6 Fellow firearm junkies… What’s your latest pick up?
I know plenty of other guys here love firearms as much as me, and I’m sure we’d all enjoy some gun porn haha!
Let’s see what everyone has picked up recently!
If you haven’t gotten anything recently- feel free to post your favorite gun and/or your collection!
Mine is a pawn shop find- Standard HPX 1911. American made milled quality parts, 4.5lb trigger, match grade stainless barrel, and came with 3 mags in original box with un-activated warranty. Guy didn’t shoot it too much at all cleaned and internals are good as new- sadly it does have some minor scratches but that’s just character… besides these started retail for $1,200-$1,400 and was $900 at the pawn shop. After bargaining I walked out with everything shown for $595 cash- gotta love Texas!

I had a Jennings once. 9mm. Pawned it when I was short on rent back in 2001
Dude, I still have my Jennings 9. Lol. I don't like it because the fucking thing always bit my thumb no matter how I tried to hold it.
Right… when I hold this my fingers are longer than the barrel! I could legitimately shoot off the tip of my middle finger if I wasn’t paying attention LOL!
Check out this video of what would happen if you put your finger near the cylinder gap of a revolver. The guy uses a hotdog. Lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6vMkk8VYzc&ab_channel=JerryMiculek-ProS...
Ohhhh I’m more than familiar and witnessed a dumbass do it at the range once. That video visualizes it pretty well! Dude was tea cupping it with a thumb forward grip and it was his first time with a revolver. It wasn’t nearly as drastic and he definitely got to kept his digit, but the pad of his thumb was split in half and leaking blood profusely. Didn’t look fun…
I was talking about the Jennings, I can legitimately cover the exit with my middle finger while pulling the trigger if I so desired, LOL!
I knew you were talking about the Jennings. It just reminded me of a friend telling me about someone they knew putting their finger near the cylinder of a revolver. Lol
Did you ever see the video of that safety instructor? His students semi auto didn't fire. The instructor was pointing the barrel into his own hand, pulling the trigger. It went off. Lol
No but I’d love a link! Growing up shooting a .22 since like 5-6 years old is astonishing how many people never learned gun safety.
The guy was actually testing the laser. https://www.reddit.com/r/WinStupidPrizes/comments/f3a2ss/testing_if_the_...
These little .22’s have a real bad wrap, but back in the day .22, .25, and .32 was a popular back up! I’ll probably shoot it once to ensure it works, clean it, and then keep it as a collection piece more than anything.
Believe it or not, my next buy is going to be a .22 rifle. Probably a bolt action Ruger
I have a Ruger 10/22. It's fun. I have 25 round mags for it. I shimmed the trigger pack and put a better extractor and buffer in it. I put taller front and rear sights so they can be used through the red dot scope.
I’ve been considering the same, I don’t have anything like that. Savage Arms MarkII I think is the one at Cabelas. .22Lr like $325 and comes with a (probably shitty) scope on it. Just something to plink with instead of doing handgun drills and dumping a lot of .223 through the AR.
Semi action stock-fed browning .22 my granddad left me is one of my favorite guns to plink with!
IF YOU CHOOSE TO POST YOUR FIREARM, PLEASE BLACK OUT SERIAL NUMBERS! ANY LE OR FFL CAN SEE THE REGISTERED OWNER(s) AND HISTORY WITH EASE.
So I’m late to the party, & I had told @Drexyl I’d throw up a pic of some pistols. These 3 SIGs are prob my favorite overall pistols I own. All chambered in 9mm. The small 980 is a custom shop SIG, black chrome custom engraving and black swamp grips. It’s the only “show piece” I have. It and a Kimber .45 officer were awarded to me years ago. I have never fired either of them, but I carry the small sig when we “dress up” lmao
sig p938 is my daily carry piece, small and light enough where I can carry it in shorts.
Just realized I fat fingered the model in my original post. Out of all the micros it fits fairly well in hand and has a very nice weight to it.
Nice guns, but Check DM urgently please.
thanks homie, I posted from phone. couldn't see at all.. once I looked at laptop was like ohhhhh fuck. trying to fix now ... THANK YOU
Lol ahh u good
Of course man we all gotta have eachothers backs! If you can get it edited get it back up- they’re beautiful pieces!
Tasteful choices! Looking good to me!
He forgot the same thing our other friend did.
I black everything as soon as I take a pic, even on optics and lights. I think in a way they respect that a little. Maybe.
should be groovy now.
We’ll say it never happened
happy I was able to catch it in time. I 100% know that info is not needed to be "out there" .... looks like I'm ice fishing / boating tomorrow!
I approved your FR, thanks man!
Epic pick up!
For the wife. Put a pink handle on for her. 38 special s&w 642 airweight. Just aim and pull thats it. Dont want my wife in panic situation and forget safety or to rack the slide. Just point and shoot! No hammer aso no snag on way out the purse.
I have one of those with black grips. Those are an up close and personal firearm. Can't hit shit at a distance.
Had a SP101 like that, wound up trading it at the gun shop. It was good for about 3 feet in front of you with .357 loads, .38 was a little better. I found out after the fact that it had an aftermarket front sight (I bought it used) that was way too tall. Decent pocket rocket, but I need a rear post. The groove doesn’t work for me.
the fireball that comes with the .357 is legendary tho! lol I have pics saved somewhere, the muzzleflash is so big it looks fake!
You’re good damn right! It’s a great way to get some space on either side of you at the indoor range lol. I have an AR with a very obnoxious brake on it, I tell the guy at the counter but they always just laugh. Thing is though, if I put enough rounds through it indoors, the inside of my head is ringing for an hour or two. Probably mild concussion.
I absolutely understand & agree. The percussion gets absurd at times indoors. Lots of times I wear my electronic etymotics buds and over the ear muffs.
No brass to worry about picking up either…
Exactly!
Love my snubby’s! I can’t lie I carry the LCR pretty often as a backup. Same premise. I actually don’t hate the long trigger pulls of DA on revolvers. Now if you look below I hate it on most semi’s haha.
Lkl0623Can't even lie y'all are making me jealous. Unfortunately I'm a convicted felon and can't own firearms. Hopefully I can get my rights restored in a few years.
Convicted felonies have never stopped anyone lol. If you have to protect your family you have to protect your family.
Hey I mean if he wanted to do it legal muzzle loaders leave a pretty mean hole
Lkl0623My brother owns a Kriss Vector .45 ACP I like that mf too it's nice
This was my first 45. Highpoint JHP. Cheap as hell but i hang on to it just because
Nice. I have a highpoint in 9mm and 40 S&W. They're cheap, but mine have always spit out a bullet.
Lkl0623My EDC used to be S&W .40. My mother-in-law bought a Glock 43 a couple years ago and for a little .380 I like that little motherfucker
Lkl0623POW Wait give me five minutes to reload!
They have 6 shot black powder revolvers. I'm quite sure you can get them mailed right to your house.
Lkl0623No shit? I need to check the laws on that and hit my attorney up to ask him what he thinks. If it's legal I'll be toting that mf around wide open like Red Dead Revolver around this bitch
A friend of mine that was a felon bought one online and had it shipped to his house. Here's some. https://muzzle-loaders.com/collections/black-powder-revolver-pistols?srs...
In those 5 minutes alot can happen while reloading lol
