+ 1 TRT to maintain 800-1,200 ng/dl year round

ad

I want to get thoughts from everyone on starting TRT year round at the age of 30 with testosterone cypionate @ a dosage of140mg a week. This is an online HRT service being offered by a reputable company for people looking to optimize testosterone levels but I wanted to check in first.

I lift weights I go to bjj classes I’m not really trying to be a bodybuilder. I am a lifetime natty who’s natural T total is 501 ng/dl and free T total is 100 pg/dl. Just trying to get on the higher spectrum of the normal ranges (800-1,200 ng/dl) as I always see it promoted as giving better mental/physical health. This was the exact prescription I was assigned I just haven’t gone through with it yet. Getting opinions here first.

Before you recommend me try a natural approach first please keep in mind I’m already very active with a strict diet, plenty of sleep, not much stress, and yet my total T levels have decreased by 100 ng/dl the past two years despite this.

Blood panel from two weeks ago everything is in normal range:
E2
HS CRP
Vitamin D
CMP
IGF1 LC/MS
Testosterone free/total
PSA total
CBC
Thyroid panel with TSH
Lipid Panel

I have two children already, I’m not necessarily worried about fertility issues but of course if something were to happen down the line where I needed to get off I would want advice on how I could come off and go back to my natural production.

No. 501 is great. Make smart and long lasting choices.

MadaraUchiha's picture

Probably the best advice here. Maybe I should just wait until I see actual symptoms. I still have a strong sex drive, a lot of energy, and no muscle mass loss. Just want to have the same T levels of my early age but I’d hate to cause harm to my long term health by doing so.

Jockstrap's picture

Well this is where you can look at a basic test cycle, research macros to make goals, learn proper pct and then decide if its for you. Theres down sides to everything but at least go in with eyes open and educated.

Black90tsi's picture

I agree with jock. With those numbers unless you're having symptoms i would probably wouldn't go the trt route. Not saying it wouldn't improve your performance at it almost certainly would. But you would be signing up for a lifetime commitment most likely. It's not a decision to make lightly. But it is your decision to make.

sandman3698's picture

Agreed. I was actually having this delemma about a year ago. I was figuring since Im already 36 I should probably just self prescribe trt... But sex drive was still high, felt generally ok in the energu dep. No real mood swings. So I kinda gave it harder thought and started considering that trt will be for the rest of my life. Injections and buying needles and hoping I can get my gear on time. Most of the gear is coming out of china, just elected a dude that might not be so friendly with china.... So I feel I made the better choice by letting my natural workings come back. Will I do self trt in the future... Probably.. But why rush it?

Did feel like a beast lol. Would go to gym for hours then eat a small lunch just to go bike swim or run miles after then play basketball for more hours and never feel tired. Would be nice to have that back.

So the longer you juice Bajaj the not receptors u have abs the higher your dose for a cruise. But wouldn't that desensitize you for cycle?

You are on to something Mikey! That's 1050mg. It's 1mg per ng/dl right!? So your Test levels would be 1050ng/dl!!! That is within his desired 800-1200 range! Lmao

Mikeyt84LINY's picture

Exactly what i was thinking. It's not rocket science right.

Haha

MadaraUchiha's picture

Why do you say that? I don’t compete I just like to go and train with the boys. lol I’ll have to do the blood work consistently. I’m happy as long as I’m in between 800-1,200. I know everyone calls it different. We can just call it TRT as it seems to be more appropriate. Thanks for your feedback

Mikeyt84LINY's picture

I'll be completely honest.. i think once u get to a certain dose the gear fucks my wind up and makes me get out of breath easier. Idk if it's cuz my RBC hematocrit and hemoglobin get to high or what.

I know it doesn’t necessarily increase stamina but I know plenty of guys blasting that do very well with it and have good wind. Can you share a link? I’d like to check him out

Thanks for info man

Mikeyt84LINY's picture

U ever try cardarine and winstrol with low testp just so your estrogen doesn't crash?? My boy does mma and that's his protocol.

I’ve not tried any compounds before. This will be taking my natty card. I just want a higher T level from 501 to the higher normal range.

MadaraUchiha's picture

Why would it be discontinued? How long have you been doing TRT? How often do you get bloodwork and have you come across any complications yet? Needing to get blood work drawn, acne, etc? What ester do you use and how frequent pinning.

Greg's picture

Sorry to see you go so soon YOLO, Good luck.

MadaraUchiha's picture

What are you talking about?

Greg's picture

Maintaining levels higher than normal will cause health issues. High estrogen, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high RBC count, etc..

MadaraUchiha's picture

800-1,200 is considered normal according to the two labs I’ve been to. I’m not going over 1,200. I hope you aren’t trying to say trt in that range worse than blasting 500mg cycles as well as stacking other compounds that is well outside normal ranges? Please clarify.

Greg's picture

Normal for who? An 18 to 20-year-old? Normal testosterone levels for men are between 270 and 1,070 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL), depending on age. The average level is 679 ng/dL. Testosterone levels peak around age 20 and then gradually decline with age.

I'm on TRT with an endo doc, NOT a "men's health clinic". You don't want to be over your peak level of near your max level consistently. Your body will fight back to maintain balance.

You want your levels around 600 to 900. You can blast two or three times a year, but you don't want consistently high levels. Blasting 500mg cycles Is actually better than putting a continuous strain on your body for a year.

You WILL NOT see the benefits you think you will. You're being lead down a rabbit hole. your "labs" will be raking in the money as they use you as a lab rat.

MadaraUchiha's picture

Normal for all ages 350-1,200 according to my clinic.
What is your dosage? How old are you? What was your level before getting on trt and what is your levels now? I don’t ever want to blast or do a cycle. Do you take anything else like peptides or HGH? You’re the first to suggest blasting is healthier than the TRT approach.

Greg's picture

65 years old. 100mg a week keeps me around 900 to 600. I have an endo doctor I talk too. your "clinic" is for profit and is not being truthful. Next they'll be selling you drugs to fight the symptoms those high doses will cause, (cha-ching$$$)

I do not need any anti-estrogens, statins, hcg, hgh, cabergoline, Hydroxyurea, or BP meds etc.

No matter how much testosterone, HGH, etc. I take, my 65-year-old mind and body will never be my 20-year-old self. More is not necessarily better.

MadaraUchiha's picture

I think they all have the baseline incentive to make money in collaboration to keeping you healthy. But I get your point of view. The guy I’ve spoken with is also an Endo DR. It’s not a sketchy clinic. And I do appreciate your feedback. When did you start TRT and what was your levels before starting and reasoning for starting?

Also why couldn’t not consider this a beginner cycle and see how I feel and react with this lower dosage then make the ultimate decision to do this long term or not?

Greg's picture

I went on TRT several years back when my levels were below 200.

Go to the beginner cycles thread and do a true cycle and not this one foot in one foot out crap. Cycles are short in duration because they do stress the body. TRT is a constant "baseline" range and should not stress the body.

What you got going on is too much for TRT, and too little for a cycle.

MadaraUchiha's picture

I hear you. I’ll let you know how it goes.

FartDracula's picture

I'm actually curious to know if one could get away with cruising at 250 providing they REALLY watched their hematocrit and maintained a healthy lifestyle.

Triggerman83's picture

There’s more to it than MG per week for everyone. It really seems everyone wants to get a pre-written protocol. Unfortunately everyone is different which is one of the reason blood labs are important. When I get work yearly physical , I give “good blood to dr”. Which is TRT levels @200mg CYP weekly, last time I “scored” a 801TEST , 12 e2 with “clean” healthy blood at 41 years old. Part of the fun is building your protocol and finding the good and bad. I want to make one point, at your 140mg cruise you still will be shutting down your natural production & which is including ability to have viable sperm. From your post, I am assuming you are a younger gentleman. Respectfully that’s a large devotion make and risk for 140mg week. What was you natural test level?

I’m 30. I have all the kids I want. Don’t care about fertility issues. I’m at 501 total test and I want to be 800-1,200. I just want optimal levels as it has gone down 100 ng/dl from two years ago. It was at 600. I don’t have symptoms of low T but I would like it to be higher as I know it will increase protein syntheses a bit more etc.

Triggerman83's picture

I was in exact spot 5 years ago. Enjoy your journey! I ran with TRT clinic for few years and “broke” my cherry. The research and education is a part to enjoy. I can tell you the 1200s feel better than the 500’s lol

Thank you man. I’ll come back and let you know how it goes. I think I’m going to go through with it. Seems very affordable at only $24 a month.

FartDracula's picture

Hm? I'm not OP, I just didn't want to make a whole new thread for my 250mg a week question because 1. It's idle speculation bc It's a really extreme cruise dose only for those who truly just don't care. 2. It's just OP's question but MORE. TBH I did a 20 week cycle, only "cruised" for a month at 250 and got bloodwork (It looked good) and then immediately launched into my current cycle which is also 20 weeks. I don't recommend because aside from the obvious health concerns, I'm just tired of blasting and overeating. I'm going to chill for so long after this and realistically probably cruise at around 125 or so for a WHILE. Thanks for reading my blog
