I had Rhabdomyolysis.. In boot camp two years ago, permanent muscle and strength loss??
I normally keep it pretty light but my barbell flat bench is lacking compared to that before prison
When I went through boot camp I had sat on my ass leading up to it, when the Drill instructor SMOKED me the first day it was mainly all pushups
I woke up 3am and had a fever I went to piss and it was dark red, I went to medical and they took the dipstick and told me I had Rhabdo and it was NORMAL! they made sure I drank enough water to filter everything out my kidneys; I’m now reading that anyone diagnosed SHOULD go to the hospital and receive IV fluid
For anyone previously wrapped up in the pineal system I fucking feel for you, treated like fucking animals, the good thing @ the time was my injection of depo test 200 a week I believe helped me heal up I wasn’t worried about that,
I’m having paranoia that this permanently damaged my pecs for the most part, they used to feel like my strong suit,
Not the strongest bencher but something does feel off, hoping it’s placebo and I’m thinking way to far into this. I feel like pursing this in civil court.
Long story short do you feel even with my proper hydration, cruise dose and decent rest @ the time took about two weeks to feel DOMS free, I do not feel weak on weighted dips though and they don’t feel lacking it’s specifically barbell bench and now it’s bugging me out …

Rhabdo is serious and can become graveyard serious if bad enough or not treated... I once ended up on dialysis from rhabdo after an amphetamine induced coping session involved 4 hour extrem superset workout including NFL combine (225lbz) 20+ rep sets bench sessions supersets with 25 rep wide pullups, among every other combo u could think of...( I was going thru a divorce and relapsed).. anyway the dark color in your urine was due to a bi product of muscle breakdown, myoglobin.. it is toxic to kidneys in high amounts..my piss looked like Dr pepper almost..... immediately on dialysis unit with stage 5 renal failure. Moral of the story rec drugs and gear are very bad to the organs, and my doctor said, either do recreational drugs and quit steroids, or quit recreational drugs and you can stay on steroids but you can't do both!! But I've had rhabdo 3 other times from extensively retarded training in Florida heat, and the good news is once you recover usually about a month later your back to normal... unless you tore a pec tendon I wouldn't think strength would be effected by rhabdo long term....Good luck my brother hope you get sorted out ASAP
Well you already know this cuz you were one of the first people i told this to. But i got this from a brutal leg workout two days ago. My liver was being damaged my kidneys were being damaged my body was eating its muscle and it was lactic acid poisoning along with the muscle that was broken down so it was straining the kidneys and liver and I'm sure the superdrol on top didn't help. Well time to give it a rest.
For sure, I’d urge everyone reading this and his comment to connect the dots; it’s something that’s not talked about and my post idea was due to Mikey’s experience, when it happens it takes everything out of you, you feel feverish and poisoned , usual cases they want to admit the patient for IV fluids however it’s an insurance cop out really
Peptides would be PERFECT in these cases
AK80Do super wide slow stretches down and then explode up (Larry Wheels style) with just the bar by itself to warm up. Then do like 135 with a close grip. Then do your normal width with a reverse grip (Mike O'Hearn style). Then do whatever you normally do after that. Maybe try 1 rep max if anyone is there standing around. That should get you back to normal or better than before after a month or so. Hopefully Trump fixes the Veteran's Affairs for ya. When I was a civilian I.T. contractor there back in 2006, the doctors just walked past the guys in the wheelchairs in the hallway and didn't even say hi.
I just caught the Larry, jay and Mike training video last night while you were writing this comment out..,
LOL
How have your kidney markers been in your Bloods since you had this? If you have badly damaged your kidney function then maybe it could affect protein loss into the blood, but I doubt it if it was just an acute kidney injury at the time. If your eGFR is consistently less than 70 it could be worth looking into. I think you will find that when your bench was stronger you were probably doing it more often and just not realising it. You only keep a strong bench if you do it consistently week in week out and train it to get it stronger, that means becoming obsessed with it and not just thinking I'll go in and do 3 or 4 sets with 'whatever I feel like doing on the day' and then obliterating the pecs after with a tonne of other exercises and cables etc. Don't think that doing bodyweight Dips in place of bench will increase your bench without actually doing bench - because it won't. Some guys will argue that it does, however you will also find that the guys who find this will be nowhere near their peak bench numbers of what they are actually capable of. Same if you come across a very strong deadlifter, you will find its their favourite exercise to do also - and they will actually be training that twice per week and bench probably once every 8 or 9 days in reality.
A couple months back I did have urea levels elevated
BRO, YOU ARE GONNA D.I.E THEN
Get some use out of those Butt plugs whilst you still can matey.
I had a run with rhabdo a few years back that caused some damage and I ended up healing it accidentally with bpc-157. I ripped my right tricep off a year ago or so and had to have surgery. I took bpc to heal faster and it healed the damage from rhabdo. You might want to run some.
Don’t feel bad. My bench is also relatively weak as hell compared to my squat and deadlift. Some of us just aren’t meant to be Julius Maddox. I can grow a big chest but it’s a deceptively weak chest for the size.
I kinda have the same thing. My chest isn't what pops on my upper body anymore and I believe it's because my shoulders overpower my lifts and other muscle groups take over. I really have to work mind muscle connection when doing chest and back
Always struggled to build my upper chest. Found working up to heavy set on incline dumbbells, then dropping weight and getting as much blood in with slow negatives followed by super setting alongside incline flys really helped. Don’t you find as soon as you start to develop a certain muscle it’s much easier to find that mind muscle connection?
Absolutely. The muscle has to be there and active for you to feel it in your mind. I was working back last week with a guy and were hitting lats, he said he couldn't feel it in his lats because they're not developed meaning he's pulling with everything else,
That’s the key. Difficult to put ego aside when you first start lifting and really concentrate on squeezing the muscle you’re working. Dropping the weight to achieve that so you can really focus on targeting that particular part takes discipline and experience. It’s why isolation after larger lifts is so important for proper development. Also find during shoulder workouts gripping a bench lets you see if there is any imbalance from left to right and also gets more blood into the muscles too.
Gripping a bench??
Setting into it I think is what he means, especially when someone else is looking 180 degrees down at you , I know for a fact when I had shoulders flared out I’d get good pump so to speak but I wasn’t doing anything to really develop the entire chest.
None of you guys seem to think the rhabdo instance has much do to with my lacking which is good news, I’d rather it be my diet, training, human error than something that’s not reversible..
