End of the road for me

ad

I was just layed off from a brand new job that i got. I am in a heap of shit. My fiance and i just purchased a home and my money is slim to none as of now. I knew i shoulda stayed in school. I think this is the end of the road for me as far as this lifestlye goes. I'm the type of person who wants to do something and do it right or i dont wanna do it at all. And with money being as tight as its gonna be for me, i cant afford to eat right and do this in a productive fashion anymore. Its so sad because ive made such an incredible amount of progress in the last 2 years. Shrinking down to nothing is gonna be depressing. Maybe ill apply for foodstamps lol. Anyways, this sucks guys. For those of you that have great jobs, be thankful!

This post is 12 years old however it's applicable until the end of time. I mean I hear this type of thing alot. Within the last few years a few members said the exact same thing so it happens. Wish this gentleman the best and I would definitely put my family first. Now the guys below did make good points about eating cheap in this lifestyle.

Poor guy! Hope he picked himself up by now. My divorce fifteen years ago destroyed my life, but I managed to end up so much better off. Didn’t happen overnight, but life is pretty good right now. This post is a clear reminder how fast life can go down the toilet. Grind hard, and keep your circle tight. This world can be a beast!

DeeMan's picture

You said it...the world can be a beast! Everything going great one day and then to shits the next day. It's sad man but that's life. Hell I've had my rough moments too. It felt like that end of the world but not the case. Gotta see the big picture not the little piece lol. And that divorce seems to be one of the best things that could of happened to you.

There may be a post on this already, but there is a way to do this lifestyle cheaper.

Whole chickens at Costco, $5 each and 2.5 pounds of meat meat per bird.

Boil the bones and skin for home made stock.

Bag of rice is cheap. I bet you could eat for a week under $30.

Find a discount produce store with stuff about to go bad but still ok to eat, veggies for $1 a pound.

Eat on a budget and focus on house and family, the weight room will always be there for you, planet fitness is $10 a month.

You got this brother!

Don't get depressed man. I know that is hard to avoid and sounds easy for me to say but I have been through it and worse.

In the past three years I have lost everything I had except for my 5 yr old daughter. I lost my house, car, furniture, savings, life insurance and wife. The only things we own are our clothes, my camera gear as a photographer and down to the minimum of that, and my daughter's toys.

It has been hell BUT in ann odd way it has been a real blessing. I see so clearly what is really important now. We are both healthy and happy. I am scratching my way back and you can too.

Just keep on trucking...

All the best to you my friend...

swolltroll's picture

I really wish the best for you. But concentrate on getting a job, and put the gym off for a bit. Or at least the gear. When you get a job you can jump back on gear and catch up. So if you own your new house, you may have to sell it and take the setback. Dont freak out and start taking loans you cant afford to pay back.
Nothing is a waste.

Just keep moving forward man. It is not the end of the world. Shit may be dark right now, but by no means does it give you a reason to quit. Nothing is below you. 50 years ago, all these shitty jobs were opportunities. Look at them like that. The world is yours for the taking,

Part of AAS use is the fantastic attitude and killer goals you are able to reach in and out of the gym. Don't stop pinning and get your ass out of the poor me shit and go after those goals like you always have! Fuck the job we all get roads closed on us but nobody on AAS sits and gives up we fucking break a new path and off road it!
I'm sure you have other options just open your mind up and use your connections.
Good luck and cut the shit

Quit playin with the scissors & shit and cut the crap! Lol. Sorry. Couldn't resist when I saw your handle and what you said.

I get paid for every song he puts out ;)
I shouldn't have to rhyme these words in the rhythm for you to know it's a rap. You said you was ... Thought I had it mapped out but I guess I didn't, this fucking black cloud.

If you were layed off make sure you get unemployment insurance that's what it is there for. It's built into your wages, it's insurance you pay into with work so use it. (Only extensions are paid for by tax payers). If your serious you can go back to school and get a 2 yr degree, I did, working nights in a factory. Either way stay positive keep your head up and keep moving forward, good things will come if you don't give up. Also, to me juicing is an investment. It gives me more energy, more strength, more confidence. Bulk up and go somewhere where the job is lifting heavy shit, they'll hire you in a second.I got a great job working as maintenance in a factory, and they loved me because I helped get the job done quick. "Go get the engine lift" "Fuck that I got this..." People who use AAS are usually successful in life, I'm not saying it is for everyone. But the statistics back that up.

oil field if they have them in your area is always hiring work is hard but pay is great. Plus job is physical so you get to work out at work. It is easy to make over 100k in 3 or 4 years if you stick to the same rig.

The only end is Death and that is not a option. You need to get geared up for Monday and go out and find a better job. 13 years ago I was homeless. I was lucky to be able to stay the night in a shitty motel. I didnt have a job for 3 years straight but I never looked for one either. I had got a divorce and the bitch wasnt letting me see my kids and I was down as anyone could be. Anyway I got on my computer one day and applied for one job and got it. It was a good job lasted over a year and then I got fired for taking a personal day. I thought I was right back in the same boat but my wife told me to calm down go get unemployment and everything would be fine. Well she was right I started my own business made 50k 1st year plus what I got from unemployment(whoops forgot to tell them I was working). 10 years down the road my business is kicking ass,I have custody of my kids, and I dont have a 48" waist anymore. Now I am still in debt but I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I know one bump in the road might send me right back where I started so I just work harder. Do not fall in to the depression. Feel confident in yourself and know that any company that you apply for will be lucky to have you. Good luck to you.

On the lighter side, i always (going on 3 weeks) love reading treads post's. And in my head he sounds like Macho Man Randy Savage "snap into a slim jim, OH YHEAAAAAA"" He has also taught me, and im finally just realizing this at the ripe old age of 27, I dont know everything! Surprise! I know a lot and id like to build up my Karma sharing some of that knowledge. But a lot of these guys have been in the game longer than ive been alive. So i could do better for myself to read more talk less.

Test prop is $25 a bottle with some suppliers now-----the prices are coming down as competition increases.
If you're a smoker or like to have a few beers on the weekend, all you have to do is give one of those two up and you're in gear.

lu.rodriguez777's picture

Hang in there brother. At times I've even considered taking some part-time job just to cover my gear expense. Best of Luck!!!
