Mine was always lack of sex drive. It dropped like a rock, especially if running deca. :/

All right press, Time to get creative. Now the question becomes, what do you LIKE most about coming off cycle. You have 72 hours to come up with something…

press1's picture

HAHAHAHAAA!!!! I can answer that one straight away - Feeling much healthier when training and finding it so much easier. I always go to failure on working sets which often leaves me feeling buggered after them I guess from having increased BP and holding more water from Dbol and NPP internally. When just on Test that feeling is barely noticeable and my recovery time halves in between sets, downside is you cannot lift as much though.

SimonM84's picture

Yeah, overall I feel “cleaner” if that makes sense but I can’t take heavy cycles anyway. I’ve always been a test prop Anavar guy taking mild short cycles so recovery was always smooth until I decided to take Deca. Never again. This would be an interesting forum topic if you decide to take another poll.

Zee's picture

I have to say my mental focus and cognition seems to improve off cycle. It's difficult to explain, I feel mentally healthier and a clearer mind.
Not sure if this is due to HCG switching me back on or just simply having no drugs in my body.

press1's picture

I think its when you take compounds that water load you that you suffer more such as Dbol, Adrol, NPP, Deca or the lung constrictor known as Trenbolone Lol I've actually got an idea for another poll already and was just deciding on the general time frame to leave them up for - This has been up for 7 days now and seems to be slowing down now. They can get voted on for up to a month but obv the conversation tends to quieten down on them. Unless we can get 2 polls running simultaneously?

press1's picture

I am convinced in the future many years down the line when we are all gone they will invent compounds that have no side effects - Imagine that!! Lol

Nice Turbo by the way - what size is that?!

UncleYoked's picture

I see future gene modification through viruses, reversing age, repairing injuries and organ damage, building perfect performance based physiques. Hopefully we see it in our time, I'd gladly go out of business for that.

press1's picture

Damn that's one HUGE Ass turbo! I assume thats for the Skylines etc is it? Biggest I ever had come on one of my cars as standard back in the day 20 years ago was a T35, T4's were considered massive then Lol Ran about 30 PSI of boost through it together with a huge intercooler stuck in the front bumper. Never altered the compression ratio or block, gearbox so its amazing the thing held together LMFAO Had a competition clutch in it that was brutal with zero slip so it was an on or off job - Use to feel exhausted when I got home from a drive lol Then started to own twin turbo engines after that so the lag was much less than with a single big turbo. AAahhh the fun days!! LOL

Mmangino's picture

These all are def Cons of coming off. Probably some of the reason "blast and cruse" is a thing

press1's picture

Its the huge dip in hormone levels isn't it bud, especially if its ED short esters. At least with longer ones they steadily decline. 2 Episodes into The Watcher! lol

When you train & cycle to bulk, you need eat all day everyday, right? But one day, all of us, sure enough, we have to cycle off. Which means training time goes done 10 fold!! At my age now, when I'm COMPLETELY off cycle - I'm lucky if I can eat 3000 calories a day "soberly"

RxBB's picture

Definitely "Feeling normal again".... But then, the best feeling comes, thoughts about the next cycle haha. Planning and measuring before the next cycle is the best part of the game I guess

press1's picture

Yo BB!! Being on cycle is like being on a happy drug cycle isn't it - because lets face it the compounds we stick with are the ones that make us feel the best, and that feeling is usually better than the feeling of being off cycle apart from if you are running high BP and appetite killing compounds.

RxBB's picture

Sooo True!!!! Also a cutting cycle is most of the times a not a so happy cycle... I just love my junk food waaay too much!!!! Haha

SimonM84's picture

This is somewhat a dangerous perspective to have on my take but My main side effect of steroids isn’t aggression or uncontrollable horniness or anything like that, it’s actually a euphoric happiness and overall sense of contentment while on cycle. I’m usually a mellowed mannered or reserved but I’m really chill on cycle. I’m aware this can easily turn into an addictive habit but I’m extremely cautious with my health, run routine blood work and take long breaks in between. If I do back to back cycles, I’ll gladly take a few years off just to reset. I’ve even had this experience with Tren. Deca, of all compounds was the compound that brought anxiety, depression and aggression.

press1's picture

'a euphoric happiness and overall sense of contentment while on cycle' - Exactly the same for me. Like nothing else can give ...

Wish I could blast year around, always been one to not sugar coat it, I fucking love anabolics. The worst thing for me is the lack of progress, my diet and training are dialed in year around (now) but on 200mg of test and nothing else (how I cruise) I know I can't progress, at best maintain. I'm addicted to the progress.

SimonM84's picture

That’s actually an interesting point which I would feel classifies as the “ feeling normal” option. I suppose when you’re off, that’s your baseline physique which as you know will eventually decline with age. Since you mentioned the "progress” Have you considered perhaps taking new paths of fitness challenges in the future like surfing, rock climbing, long distance cycling etc. Yates has taken the type of path in his retirement. I’m only brainstorming on the sense that maybe altering the “aesthetic” progress to “fitness” progress which might satisfy the need to overcome that internal challenge that we all inherently possess as human beings. It’s part of our evolutionary makeup to test our limits for adaptation and evolutionary growth. I may have gone off topic but again just thinking out loud.

HanginLow's picture

Absolutely man I know when my time is up here as a competitor that I will have to find new challenging and all consuming hobbys / lifestyles to keep my clicking. I am only 33 though so I have some time to still be fully consumed by the bodybuilding death cult before I have to make that switch. Also I love my clients, being a prep coach means I can live through my clients progress, I get a massive rush when I see 4 months of hard work pay off with a nasty progress picture. I always take time off though, no matter how addicted to the progress I am because unfortunately I have spent hundreds of hours studying AAS impact on renal, brain, liver, heart and other organ systems. This is what makes me come off and how I get through the cruises. I am absolutely not willing to die for this sport.

I totally agree with this, I was watching someone else's video recently about them giving up gear - I think it was in Seth Feroces Vid where he talks of us needing other endeavours to follow too as well as training, as ultimately lets face it - whether its Bodybuilding or Powerlifting we can only be at our absolute best when we are on cycle and cycling indefinitely is just not an option if you want to keep living and being well. Choosing something else alongside training to be the best you can be at like MMA, Golf, playing an instrument etc is defo a good thing to have Smile Many of us share an addictive personality for sure.

wanted's picture

That didnt last long. He is back on the sauce

press1's picture

Is he really? lol Did you end up getting another dog mate?

wanted's picture

Havent picked up another one yet. I want to and i will cause one will help me get out of this rut. Im hoping pne falls into my lap and its meant to be
I also realized how a dog made me a better person by being home and not in the bars and he kept me grounded at home and always could blame ohhh i have to feed the dog ohh i have to let him out. And i could stay home and eat more on the schedule instead of screwing up like now

press1's picture

How about going to have a look at the rescue centre this weekend and seeing if there are any that you like? Smile

SimonM84's picture

Agreed, one thing though, I try and substitute the word "addictive” to "habitual”. Reason being is addict has a negative connotation within its meaning whereby habitual is an action that we "consciously” choose to make based on daily routines, rituals, habits etc. The topic of the circadian rhythm is really a fascinating one because the 24 hour light cycle is intrinsically synchronized within our neuronal makeup to the point it’s as if neurons transmit signals expecting the subject to perform that specific action from the previous days. It’s a type of calibration of a state of being or sensation which neurons anticipate that state of outcome. We are habitual by nature and I feel our goal is to consciously select what makes us more adaptive to our environmental conditions or life setting.

Great insights here Simon

I wonder how this world of blue light we live in impacts that extremely delicate system?

SimonM84's picture

Oh big time, there’s ted talks about it. I did a ton of research on it and actually found some astonishing studies like that researcher who isolated himself in a cave for six months. His perception of “time” was distorted to the point it would take 10 minutes for him to count 10seconds. Blue light emissions prevents melatonin secretion which repairs the body and counters cortisol. I’ll post some articles and videos if you’re interested.

HanginLow's picture

absolutely brother, very interested, I am not very well versed on the subject but I am always learning

I do use blue light blockers before bed because I usually am on the computer till late with clients and on fucking eroids LOL noticed a big difference in my sleep quality.

please send some links on here or in PM when you have time, thanks

It truly is, especially considering how ancient cultures who branched from the animist viewpoint, lived by this synchronicity. A type of common bond and dialogue with nature. Modern societies have morphed into the worship of physicalism and materialism.

Thanks for taking the time to do this simon, can't wait to delve into these tonight

Anyone every pin everyday, twice a day when considering GH, for like 10 weeks? That was the only time I was glad to come off cycle

SimonM84's picture

The good ole bridge between cycles. I actually knew a guy who used to maintain a pinning protocol with an empty syringe between cycles. He even did it biweekly just to ease his inner compulsion of pinning but was petrified of GH because of the abdomen injections.

press1's picture

LOL I nearly put 'Not injecting myself regularly anymore' as an option! So did he literally just insert the needle and not plunge anything, leave it in for a few seconds then take it out again?! Lmao

SimonM84's picture

Yep, he even said the words to ease his inner “junkie”. This same guy would laugh by himself in his car after his workouts to fully utilize his ab muscles. It was a post workout ritual that he was fully committed to for years.

press1's picture

HAHAHA Now that's commitment!! Lmao

press1's picture

I put that down too - I HATE it when you lose the broadness in the shoulders in tops then when you look to the side in the mirror the depth between chest and back has decreased dramatically.
