Do you think we will ever be done with Covid 19 or is this life as we know it

ad

Could this be the new normal in life now? Hardly socializing, wearing masks, taking booster shots along with test shots? The lucky ones are people who already have a wife or husband or boyfriend or girlfriend. People seem more aware, paranoid whatever you call it these days. People just walk in the street face down, to destination and then home. Do you like the New covid World Or how things were before this Covid????????/

As long as you comply with the authoritarians, they'll keep lining up hoops for you to jump through. No vax for me. Not into developing myocarditis. UK is dropping restrictions. Guess they're tired of the protests and Boris not following his own rules.

I think the media keeps trying to scare the last remaining people who have not gotten vaccinated...The delta variant, this omnicron variant..etc The gov't can not force us to get vaxxed but they can sure scare the Cocky out of us and make us run to get a shot along with a 200 dollar gift as motivation, I can get a few bottles of test for that.. I am getting the anti covid shot at rite aid later.

I know one inscription on the ring of a wise man. It read: "And this shall pass"

The crazy thing is that however this thing started, or if some scientist in a lab actually released this virus there are countries with access to worse chem/bio warfare. It makes no sense to me out of nowhere this virus just shuts the world down temporarily. I hope our military or whoever is behind the scenes protecting the country has an eye on mad scientists, or countries who now know what a really bad flu virus (COVID) can do. I can see the taliban or the likes, When we left Afghanistan recently who have control over the country could get access to the most dangerous stuff. With all the people trying to hurt the USA it is amazing we have not had another 9/11 style situation. (thank God)

I think it will run its course and just be part of everyday life like the cold and flu. A few years from now it will hopefully be a distant memory. One thing is for sure, humans are resilient and have short memories. It’s how we survive.

Ya know what pal - I'm not sure if it makes any difference whether its someone on the end of a computer or a friend in real life that you meet up with, as to whether they turn on you, shag your bird or do you over. I've had some people who I classed as best or really good friends only to find out a few years down the line how they have betrayed my trust in one way or another. You can never really tell who will do it and who won't - nothing is guaranteed in life Lol Even family can end up being the worst shits in the end!! Just got to try and keep everything in perspective and realise we are only really here for a short amount of time, try and enjoy everything you can Smile

A lot of people in todays world are simply obsessed with getting to the top, they simply have no morals or zero guilt about whatever they have to do to get there. Generally its the nasty shitty people that are seen as the heroes.

1) This is probably not the web site you are going to find your new boyfriend on.
2) The Spanish flu of 18,....... er,....... 1918 has come....... and stayed. We got over it. (some didn't, such is life).
3) We will all eventually develop an immunity to it,........ or die.

Read this : https://www.history.com/news/1918-flu-pandemic-never-ended

The Spanish flu was a H1N1 virus. covid is a coronavirus, similar to the 2002-2004 SARS outbreak.

Anyone seen were Facebook is heading? The Metaverse. Scary dystopian future we are heading into where physical social interaction is kept at a limit.

I think that started happening a long time ago bud - I spend a lot more time talking to people on here than I do face to face now. 10 years ago I would of said no way could I hold a conversation through comments and messages and now its second nature.

Aah ya know, not too bad really - Look at how easy it is to talk to other people that train at any point in the day, all around the world. No travelling to peoples houses and having to fill up the car - pick up the laptop and bang, immediate conversation LMAO When ya wanna make some tea just turn the oven on Lol

With a survivability rate of 98% it all about control... Once the government takes rights away they don't give them back..Yes we are overpopulated... I believe it's tied into eugenics through DNA selection... Who knows anything is possible really... History does repeat itself though and the winner writes the history book. Good thing about the masks is it covers up all the meath heads horrible teeth, I like that part of it.

All I know is our freedoms are getting smaller and censorship of opinion is on a grand scale now.

Simple answer is nobody really knows. It could fade away or it could keep mutating and be around in ways we don't know yet. Here is the thing that really separates Covid from other pandemics. No previous pandemic had it so easy to spread around the world in a matter of days. This could be only the beginning

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture

I believe 9/11 was the beginning but then again maybe it began long ago but the spiral is getting tighter and things are happening more rapidly... I think if we really dive deep into real, unbiased history then we can better realize the future or direction we're headed.

Absolutely Pale, each day I look in the paper now its just jumping all around the UK - what started off as just 2 locations pretty far apart has become pretty much all the major cities and towns now. The strain alters ever so slightly too to make it more resistant to things we can fight it with.
