I just set a new pr this week on hang cleans, 240lbs. Not bad for weighing less than 177lbs and 46 years old. Pat pat, sorry, it took about 4 years to to go from 95 lbs to the current. My second favorite is a 95lb weighed belt dead hang pullup. That journey is about 9 years old. Have a great 4th of July weekend everybody.

bgukxllsBench Press 325 for 16-22 reps. Was the most satisfying PR for myself to reach. of course I was on gear at the time and weighed a bit more than I do right now. Was 230 lbs at the time. As far as what I was on, DBOL, DEca, Test Prop, Test E. Didn't really count exactly how many reps I got.. I just remember it was alot.
Was never really big on squatting the most weight or deadlifting the most. I think my max deadlift was something like 425 for 1RM which was a great PR as well.. wasnt as satisfying as the heavy bench for reps though.. had a little crowd of friends for that one
650 x 4 squats to parallel.
Flag Pole hold for 30 seconds with 40lb weight vest. Not sure why I did that now.
1,200 body weight squats competing with the Wife. That hurt the most. I lost.

Strangely no. I was still around 10% BF. Legs were just my thing until spinal stenosis killed off the nerves in my left hamstring and calves. Not sure but probably related to those heavy squats.
Yeh Deads are bad for the spine but Squats even worse when all the weight is compressing right down through the spine. Even heavy benching arching leaves it tired and sore. Then once that is out so is any decent lifting for the next 48 hrs lol

I would end up in the hospital. 240lbs seems pretty impressive though.
Bent over to tie my shoes without having to take a break between shoes. Other than that I probably haven't tried to do a PR for anything in the last 15 years. I would end up hurting myself.

AnonI don't ever go for max. But I'm sure like many of you I have maxed out some leg machines in apartment or hotel gyms haha and that always feels good. I think my most satisfying pr was 30 full range of motion body weight pull-ups. No kipping pull-up CrossFit horse shit, just 30 real pull-ups in a row.

I just got back from a vaca.. I hit the hotel gym, and maxed out All 4 of the cable weights... It was cool because I had to get creative.. lol

I wld have been happy with a dumbbell rack even it they were pink. This place only had the oldest, saddest, rusted slider, frayed cable, pos... I made the best of it. Lol

Yes pullup/chinup. Dead hang is full extension all the way down, strict with no kipping.
I guess that is just the way I have always done them. Talking real pullups and not crossfitter pullups.

The kipping just looks like it would destroy my wrists and shoulders. Plus, those people look like fools doing them, lol.
AnonA lot of CrossFit workouts are not good for the body. The kipping pull-up looks like it could could bad in so many ways.

Dead hangs fully extended all way down and all way chin over the bar. Yeah anything over 15 is good in my opinion but yeah I always had to get my 20 for a high pft score in the corps. I think I may have got 24 one time but thats it. 30 is bad ass. Its amazing if u just add 25lbs plate around d your waist and try them it feels like 100lbs extra. Lol.
It's kinda funny how over developed my lats are compared to some of my other parts. I typically do 150 on monday and fridays. Great body weight workout, basically can be done anywhere. My grandfather used to tease me as a kid cause he could do more than me.
