-2 Testosterone gel - would steroid stores sell it?

ad

For trt, I’m trying to get some testosterone gel since the doctors here are really resistant to prescribe it and I’ve been on it in the past which has really helped.

I’m guessing steroid shops won’t sell this and will only do injectables?

I really think the gels are different than creams. Well atleast for being stable and effective.

Its discussed on trt forums pretty thoroughly. I'm not an expert by no means, but in reality I dont think they are equally effective.

Most low T clinics will take care of you in this situation. Its usually the Urologist that has a problem. I suggest going to them and let them run all the labs and give you a plan. I bet you will be surprised to see what they say, even with your situation. and don't recommend the gel btw. But that is my preference. I don't like the thought of cross contamination to those in my house, even though its very limited. Do you want the gel because you don't like injections?

And that's because most low t clinics don't give a shit about your health they only care about their own pockets everyone is so quick to blame low t for all their problems when there could be other problems involved just because a doctor doesn't just jump to give somebody testosterone doesn't mean they aren't correct

Ur 40+ @ 130lbs... u need to go to the rite doctor. U cld have an underlying condition of why u can't gain weight or maybe u just eat like a bird. Just because a doctor turned u down doesn't mean he's right. Find a better doctor, eat a clean surplus of calories, and get to working out 3-4×'s a week.

Lately I've been watching all the responses to these kinds of posts and instead of anyone asking the op if he's seen a doctor about a thyroid issue or seen a doctor about blood work or seen a doctor about anything it's just immediately oh go see a clinic oh go get on TRT oh find another doctor and go on TRT. I'm just surprised that the path this site is going to is the narrative everyone needs to be on trt. I'm pretty sure half the guys keep pushing are not on Dr TRT themselves and they're probably on 500 mg a week of self-prescribed trt. You can't help someone if you don't ask the right questions and you're not helping someone if you give them the wrong answers

I don't condone or recommend the "Clinics" myself. But I do absolutely believe that all doctors are not created equal. I'm not one to say that self prescribing is ever safe regardless what your bloodwork says. Like everything, there are good and bad. I'm sure there are doctors out there that will prescribe trt when it's not exactly needed. I'm sure there are doctors that dont ever want to touch the subject. I personally dont blindly accept everything a doctor says, they are human, I research and ask for a second opinion. Basically I exhaust my rational resources to make the best personal decision I can.

Yeah, he said he updated his bio.

Trt treatment shouldn't matter on size, however you should be as healthy(not fat) as possible to minimize aromatazing.

Eh, nice bio Rusty! Post a picture! Lol

I'm just trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Read my original post (down a few comments) from a day ago! I didn't cosign shit.

Halsey's picture

First one is a fact and a statement! That was not directed at the op, I'm pretty sure it was backing up Molins statement.

Second: Read my original comment again, Rusty, you really have trouble reading complete posts. You hand pick what you want and then repost out of context! Blah! Lame dude

Third: The gel statement! This one is close to being bad, I'm not condoning shit! But I've seen it here, dont remember where or who. I didn't give any details.

Fourth: I stand by this statement 100%, doctors are not created equal. The wrong doctor can fuck you up worse. My point was to look for a doctor( not a clinic) that knows his shit and upto date on current protocols and data. Generally this is not your general practitioner. But it is actually is my general practitioner.

Label me what you want! I'm a big boy, actually a little bit taller than 6 feet. Lol

Sorry. I am not 25, I am 41. I must not have selected the right age option and I think 25 was the first number that came up.

Due to my age I know My natural T levels have fallen and I haven’t tested them as a young man but I have always found it hard to build muscle and had certain symptoms.

The level I think was about 300ng/dl. Not low enough to get doctor treatment.

Halsey's picture

My doctor suggested trt for me at levels of 284 at the age of 43. Your pretty close!

Halsey's picture

Slippery slope for self prescribing at 25. Not saying I know the whole situation( primary or secondary, health situation etc), but once again trt is for a lifetime. Maximizing your natural levels in my opinion is the way to go at such a young age. Finding the "right" doctor or endo to help you achieve this is the safe bet.

I'm pretty sure if you look hard enough gel can be found.

Ghost52's picture

What does your bloodwork look like at 25 you shouldn’t need it but there are very occasionally people that do

Litterboxer101's picture

I was self treating after being diagnosed with low T levels but not low enough to be offered any prescriptions
