Risky

ad

I don't know of this is allowed if it's not I will remove it, I read the rules over again and didn't see it but anyways.

Has anyone gotten a "risky transaction" message from their crypto provider then it asked for photo verification with ID pictures?

This sounds shady to me it has never happened out of the dozens of times I've used it.

Again if this isn't allowed I will remove or tag a mod or something

Thanks.

Update:

Package took 10 days domestic to get here but it did two days ago. If something was going to happen with legal ramifications I'd assume it would of by now.

Might have to go back to the old school way of doing shit. I'm not tech savvy figuring out bitcoin was a hassle to start with

Use a service like changenow.io to convert BTC to other cyrptocurrency and pay in an alternative coin. Otherwise use a BTC tumbler such as blender.io. The later is my preferred choice. You send the tumbler your coin and give them the receiving address. They will send fresh coins not affiliated with you to the receiving address. This breaks the forensic trail of BTC. They don't keep logs so there is nothing to give law enforcement. Happy shopping

The wallet you're sending to has been flagged as one that is used for underground activities... Gee, you wouldn't be doing that deliberately would you?

Don't send your crypto to anyone you don't share a last name with directly from an exchanges KYC wallet!

Get a wallet like electrum send your money to yourself and then send to a 3rd party wallet.

FYI, you can use a site like https://mempool.space/ to set a cheaper fee when sending. Your wallet probably defaults to high priority or standard fee (currently 108sat's - 103sat's ) which will get your transaction picked up in the next block or two (1 block mined every 10 minutes). If you're willing to wait 40 minutes, you could set that fee as low as 40sat's)

So my take away is my crypto provider knew this was a online steroid sale and they flagged it?

They may know or suspect the wallet you're sending to as being questionable, be it direct evidence that it belongs to a source, or antidotal evidence based on frequency and amounts of deposits into that wallet or, several people complaining they've been scammed by that wallet.

The warning was not unlike your browser warning you that a site is dangerous by redirecting you to a warning page.

Damn its been so long since I used crypto i didn't even know this shit changed. I mean I guess it makes sense that it would eventually

Oh and it’s going to keep changing as it gains momentum more eyes will be watching.

Eventually we will have to shit nomadic style like Greg with pigeons or rats maybe even dolphins.

robxl12321's picture

This is honestly going to be my last crypto exchange for this activity lol. I don't like that at all. I may be paranoid but I got alot to lose over personal usage of AAS. Just ain't worth it lol

I feel you bro because those thoughts have also ran through my mind lately. Risk to reward might not be as friendly with dudes that have big responsibility’s like us.

Ur a very small fish my man they want the big blue fin tuna. But like Greg said just open a 3rd party wallet without ur info should be good for now unless ur a blue fin tuna then I would cool off.

As far as reporting they are probably watching traffic from certain wallets maybe urs was spotted during surveillance unless they see ur linked to specific groups then yes they will monitor.

robxl12321's picture

Yeah man I never order more than like 4 bottles at time maybe definitely a small fish and pretty much private my wife is the only person who knows about my activities and people on her but yall don't know who I am specifically

Also important to setup SegWit wallet type in electrum (not old type legacy account), you will have 2 times lower fees if compare to segwit/legacy. it is actual now, mempool always have a lot of unconfirmed transfers for last 3 months
SegWit wallets always beggins on "bc1...."

robxl12321's picture

But this was the crypto provider asking me for the id and picture.

Right, they want to know who's buying the drugs and you haven't complied with the KYC laws to trade BTC...

A few years ago it was the wild west. Now, with regulation and KYC/ML laws being enforced on the exchanges, your anonymity is no longer there unless you create isolated cold wallets that NEVER interact with a KYC wallet (exchanges and merchants, and other users on those exchanges) You might as well do a bank transfer or write a check.

Blockchain transactions are like looking at a DNA family tree there are a lot of gaps between you and your 2nd cousin on your moms side. But if you know your 2nd cousin, and you know your parents, grand parents, etc, you can fill in the gaps without needing DNA testing for everyone on the tree.

Yes. Greg has you. Financial Services are highly regulated in the US and as Greg mentioned KYC (Know Your Customer) is a big part. They need to confirm your identify via government issued id and the nature and purpose of your transactions. They have no choice or they will get heavy fines or shut down. If they don't like your answers or they don't understand your transactions generally the account just gets closed and nothing more.

robxl12321's picture

Okay well thats good to know they just close it.
