+ 1 Metformin for losing fat around the midsection
If this is considered Taboo imo
So recently my coach had me start taking blood glucose readings in the morning to try and see where my levels were at. Unfortunately they were high, like 113 was the first reading. So my coach started me on supps to help with blood sugar
We first started with Berberine 3 times a day at 500mg, dropped it by 10 points (103) and that’s good but still too high, so my coach asked me to try Metformin, and this week was my first week on it.
We started with 500mg in the Morning and 500mg at night before my last meal. The first thing that happened is that my blood sugar dropped by another 10 (93), once again still too high but progress imo. But the number one thing I’ve noticed this week is that my weight has dropped from a typical morning weight of 224 down to 221, and also my waist, specifically my love handles, have shrunk.
I wasn’t expecting this so I wanted to ask you guys if you have ever heard of this or experienced it yourself. I’m not upset by this at all but a bit surprised. I know blood sugar sensitivity helps with fat loss but my diet hasn’t changed at all so I didn’t think it would change weight or looks much at all.

People are using it for longevity. It statistically reduces the chance of getting cancer. It Increases the longevity of every mammal it has been tested on by slowing the aging process at the cellar level. Shuttles nutrients away from fat and into muscles. Has other benefits too that I can’t remember off the top of my head. This is probably what is happening in your case. My endo was going to give me a prescription for it when I asked about it for total hormone and longevity enhancement. Read an article about rich people flying private jets to New York to get it prescribed off label from this one Dr. that was interviewed for the article I read. I got a year supply of it at 1850 mg per day from sources you can read about here for far less than flying a private jet somewhere. It amazes me how dumb a lot of rich people are in this country. It is dirt cheep to make.
SupremoNever use it yet, but i know that it lowers igf-1 levels and that is in bodybuilding view not optimal.
Molinin302I'm not an expert on this, but its a very reasonable posted question. I've seen your pics, you're solid, diet is on point, all is thought out. I was considering GH, but I've done some dumb things in my life, there's risks with it I'm ready to take. YET. Hopefully the more knowledgeable guys chime in, there's plenty of knowledge in this forum, but I can tell you straight up to stop messing with your blood sugar. There's certain things we need to stay away from, and that's one. Just be safe, and hey bro, don't know you personally, but stop what you're doing. It won't end well. Can't do calf raises if they cut your feet off, see where I'm going with this?
Edit- best wishes bro
I believe you are confusing Metformin with insulin ....
Zalewski:when you use gh, it is inevitable, even at a low dose, that after a certain period of time your blood sugar levels will go up, it is inherent in gh if you know its mechanism of action and it is about real gh. great idea to use a monitor to check. if the values go up (in your case) I much prefer Metformin over berberine (ineffective on me), use the extended release version to avoid gastointestinal problems, if used near a workout it gives remarkable pumps. for the mechanism of action of metformin, you find tons of studies, it is a very safe drug, with remarkable properties and benefits.
sorry, with those blood glucose values I assumed you were using gh ..... how long does fasting last before blood glucose measurement?
Actually no, I use to use mk677 when I was younger because the guy at the supplement store told me “it’s totally GH bro” and unbeknownst to me that fucked up my blood sugar, and I ran that shit for probably 2 years straight. Never checked my blood sugar until I got a coach
I mean the entire reason I and my coach are doing this is to control blood sugar
Molinin302Its just advice my bro, we manipulate our bodies functions. I said it plain as day, and I'll say it to you again. Don't fuck with your blood sugar levels. I guess your coach has you convinced otherwise, see you at my place of employment in a few years. Got a call 2 hours ago from the big boss about a resident I was friendly with passing away. But yeah, no disrespect, I like you. Keep playing with your sugar. C'mon bro, theres better ways.
MarcusAureliusUsed it once and never again... Always feeling flat,my recovery was slower, and also got sides like heartburn, headache etc....only for diabetics not for bodybuilding, end of story.
This is total horseshit and I am a diabetic, Metformin increases the efficiency in which the muscles absorb glucose from the bloodstream. Also increases muscles sensitivity to insulin.
Not to dispute you but I haven’t felt flatter or had heart burn, and there haven’t been enough days for me to see fatigue accumulate. Can I ask what your diet was in comparison to mine and also what was your volume load on average?
Id love to hear your diet. And also would like to say goodluck i hope you kick some azz
