-1 Tapering off cycle vs coming straight off
ad
Hey everyone, haven’t seen a post on this yet, But I’m sure it’s been talked about before. Was curious what the general communities thoughts are for those who blast/cruise or cycle/trt, when coming off your cycle do you find you retain your gains better tapering down on test a couple weeks post whatever extra compounds your running. Example 12weeks deca300/test500, then after 2 weeks post deca keeping test at 500, beginning to taper down like 500,400,300,200 week by week. or would you say it’s better coming straight off deca then immediately dropping test from 500 down to the trt dose.

Same as Eagles said below! I have always tapered with short esters. If using test e I will wait one week and then start my test prop taper. If using Deca or even Tren, stop that shit probably about three weeks before you're going to stop your test. Taper down with NPP or Tren a. I have always found the transition into PCT to be so much more smooth when I taper with short esters because they leave your body much quicker and the PCT meds are not fighting the long Esters anymore. Just a personal experience from many years of use. But every single person is different. Also must keep that in mind
I do prefer to taper as well, however I always taper with short esters. For example, if I was blasting on test-E and deca for 16 weeks I would taper off with test prop and NPP.
I'm into tapering off gradually. I think you hold more gains that way and it is less of a shock to your system.
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too, like yeah the longer the cycle the longer it may take to recover. However such a harsh drop from a blast to trt dose is bound to decrease some muscle tissue regardless how on point diet and training is. Theoretically a decrease over a few weeks should allow the body to adapt slowly. May just have to push out the next run a month or so. But if you retain better gains from the previous cycle, I wouldn’t be racing to jump into another one so fast. Which ultimately is the goal to run as few cycles possible while simultaneously gaining and keeping the tissue. All fun thoughts into this.
My personal PCT seems easier when I slowly taper down the old school way & don't do super long blast cycles! Trial & error
True that!
Titsonmyman69I usually do a test prop taper for example running my test E at 750 mg a week for say 12 weeks, then wait one week before starting a prop taper down. So start the prop taper on week 14 not 13. And taper down for 3 weeks with the prop. So weeks 14,15,16 would be tapering. Something like 75 mg daily week 14, 50mg daily week 15, and 25 mgs daily week 16. Those numbers are based off the example of running 750mg of test E or C weekly prior to the taper. Adjust according to your dose of 500. But that's how i do it. Prop taper all the way. But as RH said below, the longer the cycle, the longer the recovery! Keep that in mind! And yes! Cut the deca out 2 weeks before stopping any test! You are right on with that! Good question for the community imo.
AnonI dropped Deca 2 weeks before Test C on my last cycle. I didn't notice the Deca being gone the last 2 weeks, the cycle was still in full effect.
Titsonmyman69Good info then! Everybody is different for sure! Maybe it's recommended to do three or four weeks dropping it before coming off of test. Everybody's body is unique. Personally I do two weeks as well. I do that whether I'm using either deca or Tren. It's just about learning our own bodies.
Great info, I like swapping out the longer esters right before a show, never considered it for a potential taper down. Really like that idea, thanks!
Titsonmyman69Absolutely bro. Anything to help.
RustyhookerLonger the cycle, the harder the recovery.
This is going to be very individual as the idea of TRT runs the gamut, from 70 mgs to 300 or more.
I have a prescription for 200 but I only use about 100 off cycle, that’s the amount I need to stay in range and not need any AI. Coming off I want to get cleared out ASAP. The quicker I clear out and go completely off, the quicker I feel comfortable getting back on. I haven’t noticed any loss off cycle. You’ll lose some of the “look” (veins, density, fullness) but the actual muscle has always stayed.
If I tapered down I’d have to extend my time off by however long I was tapering. If you’re going off, GO OFF. Get clean, clear, and your next run will be that much better for it.
Look at mrcoolbeans. He goes off everything at 270lbs plus not even trt and he holds his size because he works just as hard and diets perfectly when off.
Depends on genetics too big guy... +1
Awesome, love the thought behind this. I suppose extending out the taper time and depending how bloods look it just takes even longer before jumping back into the game. Thanks for the reply.
