Do you prefer to wear Hoodies/T-shirt or Shirt & trousers?

ad

Since there have been a few clothing posts lately I just thought it would be interesting to see how everyone tends to like to present themselves or feel when not at work where you may have to wear uniform etc.

So do you prefer to feel more comfortable and appear more casual and wear T-shirts or a Hoody or come across as smart & professional generally and wear an open shirt and trousers?

I use to always wear a smart shirt and trousers even on casual occasions but now any day prefer the feel and ease of just wearing gym wear even when not training. To me nowadays its more important how you personally feel than impressing other people and what they think lol

In the gym it's a t-shirt, sweats, sneakers and a cap. Any other time it's always a button down dress shirt, dress pants, a tie and oxfords. In the cooler months I'll wear a suit or blazer. Old school here.

T-shirt/hoodie with Levi’s athletic fit stretch jeans, unless it’s nicer occasion then I’ll throw on a polo or flannel.

I work in an office and wore a polo to work last week instead of my normal Phillies or PL shirt, cuz I had a client meeting. Someone jokingly asked if I had a wedding to go to.

Obviously you'd be wearing your Mets jersey if you were going to a wedding.

DfromPhilly's picture

Only if I hate the bride or groom and want to curse their relationship. Which, to your point, is most cases. I like to wear a mr met head as well so my face isn’t in the pictures. Can’t leave any evidence of me in mets paraphernalia behind.

I absolutely love hoodies! I do like dressing up nice too when the occasion calls for it.

Let see ...fall is either camo or shorts n hoodie
Winter is jeans 2 shirts hoodie long johns coveralls
Spring is mostly workout stuff since I’m fat from the winter bulk and always in the gym
Summer is a combo of cargo shorts, dri fits n flip flops....but the weekends consist mainly of just flip flops and a towel...to paraphrase Ed: that’s rite kids, something you mite not know about ol drock is that he spends his summer downtime au natural by the swim up bar pool...
Well that about covers my wardrobe for the year.

I wear shorts and a t shirt. Usually an eddie baur or a Grateful Dead shirt. But this depends on where I’m going to be.

Greg's picture

You must have been born during that awkward hippy, yuppy age.

DfromPhilly's picture

Maybe like, in 1976, even.

So mad I’m a month late on that joke. But I still had to write it.

I wear work pants with knee pads and pouches and white t-shirts on the job. For normal conditions, t-shirt/jeans. I have a few dress shirts made for bodybuilders that fit good I wear on occasion.

GreatSpear's picture

Where do I find these dress shirts for body builders, I HATE the waist poof from shirts that are too big in the waist. I wear shirt stays because I hate it so much.

Damnit pale. So many smart ass comments in my mind but my better judgement is to ask if itS a Nike or UA shirt

Pale's picture

The kneepads right? Yeah, yeah. Have at it lol. But at my age and the trade I do they are awesome.

Do you do some kind of carpentry or plumbing?

Pale's picture

Close but think higher

press1's picture

I'm thinking either waist height so maybe electrician or really high so roofer?

Sam I Am's picture

I wore em for many years. The German brand is the best.
Never cared for those orange ones with the plastic on the outside.

At work , full FR clothes, steel toe boots gloves and a hard hat. 14 on 2 off.
Days off from the gas wells, wild ass jeans, white tee, knee high red dawg climbers and suspenders.
When not in a tree or the gas patch its white wife beaters , gym shorts and my slip ons.
At the church house usually a button up shirt and khaki pants....

WELL SHE SOUNDS HIDEOUS

You know Bill's in town when stuff like this starts going up LMAO

Bill G's picture

They don't let me go to town much. I don't know why

press1's picture

How's tricks mate - Did you go with the Mast or NPP in the end?

Bill G's picture

Neither some things came up. I'm giving it a little

Bearded_muscle's picture

Tanks and shorts if it’s knocking around town. If I’m meeting someone important though I actually try to hide my size with loose clothes. Otherwise people’s first impression ends up being that I’m a juice head. No matter what I say or how I act.

tyler0628's picture

I agree with OP. I could care less who im impressing. Except when it come to job interviews. Leaving that a side, im a jeans & t shirt guy / gym wear / shorts.

press1's picture

How's training going mate? You still smashing that 5 plate close grip!

Slowly's picture

Depends on the situation.
In general, in the evening I am a bit elegant, because it is cooler.
I wear jeans and a shirt, or I alternate with t-shirts that are not too tight. I don't like to appear.
During the day I wear light clothes, shorts, t-shirts in general.
I haven't used tank top in a few years now.
Putting jeans with forty degrees is crazy lol

Dressing like this guy I don't like but I'm sure many like lol

GreatSpear's picture

Gym shorts and t-shirt in the summer. boots, jeans, and T-shirt in the winter. And if I’m at home, birthday suit lol

press1's picture

Its been that hot over here the last week with the heatwave I've spent most of the time just in my boxers and T shirt indoors Lol

kodiakGRRL's picture

tank tops and shorts... the fewer clothes the better.

Greg's picture

I agree! everyone should wear tank tops and Daisy Dukes... I'm wearing mine now.

kodiakGRRL's picture

I would really like to see pics of that/.
