Low blood sugar after HGH.
I’ve never had any issues with my blood sugar as far as I am aware, but now have access to a glucometer and typically check my fasting blood sugar a few times a week. Today I noticed that my fasting blood sugar, 30mins after 3iu of GH, was only 56. Immediately ate a small slice of very sugary cake, then I ate a big helping of Kodiak cakes with a generous helping of syrup to raise my sugar. 45 minutes after eating my sugar has only risen to 66. Normally my sugar is in the 90-100 range. Any ideas what may be causing the low sugar?
Edit: it’s now been 2 hour since my initial test, now up to 99. Feeling better, but stomach still feels a bit off. Last night I ate about 800 calories of chicken, rice and veggies for my last meal about 7p, then at 10p I had 8oz 2% milk, 1 scoop syntha6, and 1 scoop ON casein for my bedtime shake. First blood sugar was taken about 7:30 this morning, ate cake about 7:35, breakfast at 8 after I cooked it.

Make sure you ingest enough carbs to avoid hypoglycemia; it can be a really big issue!
For sure. Im going to eat some fruit and oatmeal before my GH now so the fructose can counteract the drop and the complex carbs will provide sustained sugar without spiking it and making the following increase from the GH worse.
I get it too. Especially after 10+ IUs of gh a day. ;)
At that level isn't it basically supposed to act like a steroid in terms of muscle and strength gain?
Yes and I love it...
When you shoot gh it causes a short term direct drop in blood sugar then a longer term elevation in blood sugar from the lipolysis and competing with insulin.
Everyone will have varying degrees of this but clearly you know you react pretty dramatically. Keep carbs on hand.
Thanks for the new info! I had been aware of the increase it causes, but the drop is new to me.
During the brief periods I've tried to run HGH I've got this, coupled with massive tiredness. Its always made me feel hungry 20 minutes after taking it.
Yes sir I get the same thing once I take it I have to have a quality size meal and fruit for it to come down.
