+ 1 Trt and surgery
ad
Hope everyone is well , I had a large abdominal surgery and about 6 weeks prior the surgeon had me stop my trt regimen (125mg test cyp/week) keeps me in the high 400s) . I’m now 8 weeks post op an he still doesn’t want me to restart my trt regimen for another month which is 12 weeks post op. I naturally feel like death, extremely lethargic , no stamina , weight gain . My question is has anyone’s doctor made them stop their rrt dosing for this long post op ? I’m back in the gym just doing machine work and light cardio to build back up, but I feel like death . Any insight would help , I actually have bloodwork to be done Friday so can’t wait to see that, my test level might be 20!!!

Heal up first
Trt reduces your immune system so your doctor is not a quack. I have an autoimmune disease that has practically gone away because of trt. My endo also told me why. Dont be stupid and listen to your doctor and worry about healing more than your dick getting hard.
Estrogen increases immune system. Testosterone reduces it.

There are a ton more. But do what you want because it sounds like if you dont get your test fix you might die.
Irish Mack thanks for the link...I’ll survive must be all the estrogen making me sound like that lol. Just was saying I can feel a huge difference without it this long. I went for bloods today hopefully can get it all worked out after. I have listened this long can hold out for a little longer ...
It is tough but you will be back on your medicine soon. Your longevity is more important right now.
Heal and live to fight another day.
Uchibah458Would definitely recommend you seeing another doctor mate.
Wow, what a quack. How bout all the young guys with 700 levels. What do they do for surgery?! Binge a shit ton of heroin to drop their levels prior to surgery.
As GreatSpear said "Go to another Doc". A Doc that has common sense would prolly put you back on TRT.
basskiller89Lowest I've ever had my level was 200ngs/dl, didn't even notice a difference to be honest
Just my $0.02, While you should always listen to the advice of the doctor, there’s never any harm in getting a second opinion from another doctor.
jayisk"you should always listen to the advice of the doctor"
that is a yes and no answer. at least in the States. Some Dr's have a god complex and think they know everything. Esp. if it is a GP they are not a specialist. Second opinions and doing your own research works best. You know your body better then any dr does so if something is off keep looking until you find answers.
Your quality of life can depend on it.
I always research whatever a dr tells me. I also talk to people that work in the medical field. And i def. research the script drugs that they had out like candy due to the mistake of listening to them too many times and having bad side effects from the drugs they prescribed.
Most GP's go off what a pharma drug rep tells them and dont research legitimate research articles regarding script meds.
I am sure healthcare is better in other parts of the world.

A doctor is a resource in your toolbox.
Some doctor's are just, straight up, tools.
Even the sketchy one's can serve a purpose, at times. They all have prescription pads. ;)
I had my whole stomach opened from the sternum to under my bellybutton I was on cycle when this happened spent 5 days in the hospital got out kept taking my test shots went back to the doctor and he was like how the hell did your incision heal so quick I was back at it quick my spleen ruptured and had to be taken out don’t listen to me some guy you don’t know for advice listen to your doc I’m just telling you my experience. Sounds like something might be wrong with your trt and surgery cause trt is like medicine he shouldn’t tell you to stop unless it would hurt your recovery
Agree
I had a disc replaced in my neck, pretty major. My doctor didnt make me stop my trt. But I had to do blood work, checked my heart, he had everything checked before I could have the surgery. Maybe abdominal surgery he wanted you off for some reason. Sorry to hear your experience. I would discuss this with my doc.
Doctor didn’t want to check them , kept saying it was not important that I needed to heal. Now that I’m symptomatic he agreed to check them so going on Friday.
jayisk"my test level might be 20"
why havent you gotten bloods to know whats going on??
