Nobody wants to hear this stuff, but as we watch some of the greats fall around us, it’s worth a read.

It's a good article about over-use/abuse of AAS. From what I have read - it's pretty accurate. However there is also another take-away within the same article: Test is also necessary for healthy heart function:
"A huge meta analysis in JAMA examined the results of over 100 testosterone studies and determined that low testosterone levels can severely affect heart health, often manifesting itself in the following ways:
Higher risk of cardiovascular disease
Narrowing of carotid arteries
Increased incidence of angina
Abnormal EKGs
More frequent congestive heart failure."
So maybe the old truism of everything in moderation also applies to Test.
Regular aerobic activity is huge for heart health. Cannot stress that enough. Losing weight without cardio is NOT a badge of honor.
I gave a bunch if ++++ on this thread...some great shares here regarding supplements...niacin, fish oil, beet root, CoQ10, red yeast, oats, vit K+D...I’d add resveratrol, curcumin, chocolate, green tea...
Great shares here fellas!
Read the full article. Compelling study. The older I get the more health conscience I have become. I have been using this site's search function recently for my high cholesterol (not on a cycle currently) and found a ton of helpful info. Niacin, fish oils and red yeast rice to name a few. Thanks for your contribution sir. +1
Careful with the niacin mate especially if your on bp meds.
Krill oil
Red yeast rice caps
Oats
Hcg also gets cholesterol in check fast but your not on cycle so might be worth considering it for your next run?
Kibby, can you elaborate on the concern of using niacin with bp meds?
Sorry mate
Its been known to cause a drop in blood pressure mate so if your on bp meds it can interfere with them.
If your on bp meds to lower blood pressure it can be fatal (worst case ) never heard of anyone so far but there is always a first time
Thx Kibby. I am on 2 BP meds. Im freshly new to this particular subject but I do research for a while before pulling the trigger on a whim.(Other than buying Tren before research) Im definitely considering it for my next run. My bloods aren't ready yet. Funny how age/wisdom changes things. Thanks for the great tip. Have a great day
No problem mate stay safe ;)
Do you know if it lowers the top or bottom number? The one I’m on has lowered my bottom number significantly (80 last time I checked) but recently the top has been slowly approaching 140 which is concerning since before it was 120
Hi mate
It lowers blood pressure so I'm guessing it's the top number (systolic). I wouldn't worry if your not on meds mate but it's definitely worth researching before use if you are.
You need to keep an eye on your bp mate If it's getting higher.
Are you on cycle?
I’m taking Irbesartin. Never been on cycle I’ve just always had high blood pressure. It was a lot lower eating less carbs but I haven’t increased them recently and it’s still been climbing
In that case I'd make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can mate.
Achilles412Thanks for the article. All of those conditions are very easily detected with regular annual trips to the cardiologist. So many guys on here worry about bloods and estrogen levels and this and that while ignoring their heart health. Annual ekg, ultrasound and Calicum index tests can pick up on each one of those issues. Also wished many people would consider heart health natural supplements as part of their daily regimen.
I find myself taking it more seriously these days. Not that I’m ready to give up cycling or anything...... but I’m turning 40 at the turn of the year, and I’m looking at the long term more. I’m definitely adding a few more supplements to the Arsenal.
Achilles412Super happy to hear. Og below talks about beet root juice also should look into that. There is a ton research on herbal natural supps for you out there. Good luck bug fella!
What are your guys thoughts on the study. If its correct looks like we are all screwed
Achilles412I believe most of what the study shows carries some
Truth with it. Being diligent and aggressive with heart health could prevent/help with any of the issues. Plaque build up is also very dependent on genetics but for example vitamin k2 d3 and magnesium help tremendously with plaque build up by taking Calicum that could develop in the artery and dispersing into bones and teeth where it belongs. As far as abnormal ekg most of us will have them due to heavy training for many years as that also can cause thickened heart walls. As for the study itself and heart health itself I almost feel like we dammed if we do dammed If we don’t. Train hard and heavy thickened heart and enlargement take too much gear same don’t take enough have low test e heart attack high level athlete thickened wall lazy slob eating pizza all day same. So pick your poison and try your best to be on top of any potential issues by understanding risks getting regular check ups and taking preventative measures. Oh and lastly stop taking 3 grams of gear combined a week like that’s healthy and a normal cycle or cool like so many ppl seem to do. So sorry to be long winded just an issue I’m passionate about
I recomend beat root juice for sure you can drink the powder it helps blood pressure a good bit
Achilles412Awesome you said this. Beet root juice is my secret weapon I also take it daily and double up up during anadrol runs which I do twice a year. Happy someone else is hip to it
No brother thank you for the response. Heart is usually what stops us big guys I'm going to look into the vitamin k. I already take magnesium and vitamin d. Along with garlic co q 10 fish oil and beet root juice plus niacin. I dont want a big ass fucked up heart lol +1 big dawg
Achilles412Good supplement choice. Like I said above they make a mix of vitamin k n d available on Amazon May save you a few bucks instead of getting individual supps. Also a daily walk helps to maintain heart health more then you could imagine
Awesome info bro, I was told about these recently and there role, definitely vital and something we all should be on really, good looking out on the Amazon mix, there are a few I found also online.+
Don't go for powders .....go for the juice (not from concentrate) organic if you can find it.
Drink one pint of beetroot juice mixed with carrot juice (half and half) every day.
Less stress on the body and easier and faster for the body to absorb.
Dr was just telling me about the vit. K and vit D connection.
D does not function without the K along with it. Together they put the calcium where it needs to go instead of leaving it in arteries
Achilles412Absolutely correct big fella. They make a all in one cap taken twice a day on amazon. Brand escapes me at the moment but it’s the highest rated one. Funny the dr who delivered my son actually put me on to it as well as getting a Calicum index test through my cardiologist. We all should also take that test most insurances cover it but what it allows us to do is no how much plaque buildup we have therefore being able to adjust and handle it correctly
Thank you for the research.
Nice one, thanks
Great read. Thank you brother.
A good post! I think many of us are aware of these points, but we take risk vs rewards and do our best to balance both worlds!
