+ 1 Sneaky bastards and a Sweet little trick

ad

Most people don’t know this but if you look at ground beef or turkey it says 90 lean (not protein) and 10% fat. If you break down the caloric content on the label it usually ends up at 33% fat. So if you are having issues with weight/composition this could be a curprit.
So you can cook and season your meat just as always but afterwards rinse it with water. It’s tastes literally exactly the same I have been doing t for month and reduces the fat content by 50%. Have a great weekend guys.

Sugar is the big one. The many and varied names they class it under

Sneaky bastards is right

IrishJerk's picture

We do it in the food industry when a sneaky name for Sugar is bashed on the tv, we blend it with another product and give it a new name but it is still Sugar and your body treats it the same way no matter what gimmick name they give it.

Yea that’s another one for sure. Like wtf just be honest wit the consumers is it that hard?

Who has ever considered ground beef a low fat food?

Any percentage labelled standard issue supermarket bought ground beef will be absolutely loaded with saturated fat.

One must also realize that ground turkey and ground chicken are filled with fat as well.

Ground skinless boneless turkey breast would the leanest option.

I am also of the belief that happy healthy animals make better food options. I diligently search out local family farms and skilled private butchers. You will find the quality unmatched. You really have tremendous purchasing power if you do your diligence.

I also agree with a comment below.
Wild big game meat is absolutely the best red meat option there is. Venison, Elk, Moose, Antelope, and Bison are grass fed, organic, high in vitamins, minerals, and protein combined with less saturated fat and cholesterol than chicken breasts.

Watch out for "no added sugar" drinks.

Many are full of sugar..

Towel blotting all the grease off pizza with napkins works well. Same taste less fat.

Brother , if you are eating a pizza in the first place , why are you worried about grease and fat?

Get you a couple deer in your freezer.
Higher protein and less fat.

A couple isn’t enough for Bambi burgers and sausages for the rest of the year. Toss in a buffalo for me.

Guess meatloaf is out of the question now lol

mrbones's picture

Ha. For meat loaf you can cut a slice and lie on its side for 1-3 minutes on a paper towel. It’s funny but the article I just read addressed “meat loaf”. While I’m reading it I’m like wtf are they talking about meatloaf. I guess that’s a big issue? Lmfao

We buy lean round steak and grind it in the food processor. Cheaper and leaner.

And make the best burgers with a fat slice of Vermont cheddar.

lol those days are over for me. I eat low-fat due to gall stones. There not bad enough to remove it but if I eat to much sat fat I pay the price.

Sam my Grandpa was a Doctor in the 40’s and 50’s He was successful with dissolving gallstones with lemon juice and olive oil. If you try it take it slow it could stop you up and force you into surgery.
