How much oil is too much?

ad

Quit question on my upcoming cycle. How much oil a week is too much oil? I'm going to be around 6ml/wk of oils between delts, glutes, quads. Is oil build up just because of using the same injection site or can it just build up overall? Thanks

Anyone know if pinning deca in delts will help heal and strengthen tendons/ligaments via collagen? I ask cuz I have some issues in my left shoulder and was wondering if dosing directly to the site would be more beneficial or does Deca produce for collagen in the body evenly?

Definately do not try this - I remember in the early days of usage having this theory and the pain it caused in my shoulder over the next week was horrendous, virtually couldn't train.

No. It doesn’t work that way. Same result regardless of where you pin.

Bingo. AAS are systemic.

A little note:

How deep to inject, how much oil can be injected and how frequently are all variables that differ from person to person not to mention the TYPE of compound or the MG/ML dosage being injected.

Stating someone should go .5-1.5" deep into a muscle without knowing how much actual Lean Muscle tissue you are diving into (much less body fat may surround it) is something to chalk up to as "rules of thumb" not set in stone for all.

Smaller muscles will generally tolerate smaller amounts of oil but it will also depend on the COMPOUND used and how that inflammatory response is handled by that muscle in general as well.

I can easily put 1.5cc of a particular compound into any of my deltoids without issue however if another compound is used solely or mixed (two oil based compounds etc.) that can go down to 3/4-1cc of volume with a particular interest in how much of that new compound is injected based on its particular reaction.

When using a new site or a new compound it is best to start at a lower volume amount and be extra insightful if using a higher "mg/ml" even if you have used that compound before.

1ml at 200mg vs the same compound at 500mg/ml may have a very distinct and pronounced difference because of the dosage per ml much less how many ml's or where you put it!

I can do 1 cc in each trap
Started at .5 cc each worked uo to 1 cc
Painless for me. First time hurt tho

Depends on oils , muscle size and how good your body absorbs the oil. Anyway, like Makwa already wrote rotating and splitting is important that you don't get a hump!

Makwa's picture

2ml in quads and glutes 1ml in delts. Proper rotation so each site is only hit 1x/wk. Start hitting more oil per site and not allowing enough time between pins and chance of abscess skyrockets.

Makwa's picture

Yeah all at once.

Ya I ran prop n ace last cycle n ran out of sites and ended up getting some hard lumps every month or so. Going long esters on this next one until the last few weeks I'll swap test e for prop

Speaking with ER staff they very rarely have to treat abscesses in the glutes/quads, shoulder and arm pins on the other hand can be problematic. I’ve heard that this is is because the larger muscles can handle infection better than smaller but I don’t know if there’s any truth to that.

Dballin412's picture

Damn self an eye opener we don't want that!

I thought I had prepared myself mentally cause I knew a pic was coming..... but dear Lord!! :((

Haha! Thanks for not posting that, this is plenty

Delts are an easy spot to hit and people tend to way overuse them for pinning and pin way to much oil for a small muscle which is why I think we see a lot of delt abscesses.

herpjunkie111's picture

Seems like almost every time I read about infections or abscess, at least 90% of the time anyway, it's usually the delt, sometimes the bicep.

Bearded_muscle's picture

Right. It’s not something we discuss here a lot. We all know to rotate sites and have enough so that you aren’t pinning the same muscle over and over, but is the risk vs reward of pinning arms and delts worth the risk? For delts I’ll hit them with slin pins but no more than a half cc.

herpjunkie111's picture

I got some 30ga x 1/2" that will push prop with ease, gotta really press the pin in deep, but works well on my delts and ventroglutes. And I've had mosquito bites that hurt worse..

You don't wanna go too deep on delts though, major nerve wrapped around the bone pretty much right where you need to pin, that's what made me wanna go 1/2", something that can't even get that deep.

PPGfreak's picture

I use 22g 1.5 pins in my delts for years with zero issues. The nerves you’re speaking of are 1/10 of the size of the actual pin so the odds of actually hitting them almost zero.

Here’s a chart... make sure to rotate sites & don’t hit the same site more than once every 2-3 weeks. The oils can build up in the injection site & cause big problems & even burst

Saved me some trouble posting the link, thank you sir, putting that in my fav list.

JARHEAD2's picture

Yes sir, no problem!

It will dissipate. Just fire away.
Where do you think mccarver was putting 10grams a week? That's alot. Lol

herpjunkie111's picture

Depends on muscle size, large muscles can hold more oil. Not the only factor though, some muscle groups have more bloodflow, so those groups absorb better/faster. Just for instance, for a 2ml injection I would go glutes or quads, but me personally wouldn't shoot but 1 ml or so in my delts. Depends on how big you are though, I'm sure there are guys here who can shoot 2 in a delt no problem.

There are sites that have rules of thumb about how much you can inject where.
