So I've got a question for you fellas regarding how long it's taken you to go from your initial start of TRT to the point when your doc set up your prescription and allowed for home pinning. I start therapy tomorrow and my Dr. stated that it will be six months of in office weekly pinning until he sets me up for home therapy. Is this the standard? I understand there is time needed for testing to get things dialed in, but this seems excessive to me. I just want to add that this guy is as cool as a cucumber regarding AAS,HGH, and anything else I may be doing in the future. He will do any bloods as long as I tell him what I'm running and that's pretty cool in my opinion so I'm willing to give him some wiggle room if this is unorthodox. Thanks

I go to a clinic right now and they set me up to do injections at home straight away. I am going to stop using the clinic soon though and getting my medicine from a source here.
Are you going to one of those trt/anti-aging clinics. Then of course they will want weekly visits, that is how they keep the lights on. With my urologist he had me coming in for a shot every two weeks. I eventually convinced him after a couple of visits to let me do it on my own.
Yeah, it's a "mens health" clinic. I went in tonight for my 1st pin and told him there was no way in hell I'm doing extended in-house pinning. After a lengthy conversation in which I explained that I have a degree of knowledge about this, and related topics, we agreed that I would get my prescription in a few weeks once we had my level/dosage stabilized. I'm willing to cut him a degree of slack considering his willingness to work w/me regarding anything I'll be running in the future. For example, once my dosage is set, he's gonna do my baseline igf-1 test for the hgh cycle I'm planning in a couple of months. Thanks for all the replies gentlemen.

I know the gents below saying that's all cause of money but to be honest if I had a chance for DOC to see me on a weekly basis, do blood work and monitor my health I would never ever miss my appointment, especially if insurance covers that, I would be first in a queue.
So I would recommend to be under Doc's supervision, you can not go wrong.

I don't think he's going in weekly for anything other than injections. I go back every 3 months for blood work as long as there are no problems. If I experience any issues all I have to do is call and i will be seen that day.
I agree with you though, if there's something more to it that simply bringing the guy in for weekly injections to milk his bank account that's one thing, but his question was is that normal, and the answer, in my experience, is no it's not.
Just like herp 1174 stated, it’s for the dolla dolla bills. Obviously nice he’s cool with AAS and hGH, but he knows just what to say to keep you coming back.
My endo is super legit and laid back and one of the top researchers in that field so I was scared, she said she’d rather monitor me oncycle and keep me healthy than see me back on all the other addictive medications and shit I was on- so they’re out there if you look and are open with them. I’d personally look for a new doc that isn’t going to cost you a house mortgage.
I'm being told by a buddy that it has to do w/insurance. They need you seeing a doctor to cover it? Idk. I'm definitely gonna call him on it and look elsewhere if need be.
Not normal in my experience, my endo offered to show me how to pin if I wanted to run to the pharmacy, get my stuff, and come back, but otherwise I got my script on the initial visit and did my first pin at home myself after watching some YouTube vids.
I would get a new doc if I were you, that's gonna get expensive and cumbersome very quickly. I'm in the states, and to my knowledge the only places that pull that are the anti-aging or hrt clinics that are cash only, never heard of a legit endo doing that, though possible.
He wants to charge for the weekly visits, if he turns you loose to pin at home he will miss out on 26 weeks worth of billing to your ins. company.

Yeah I figured as much. What's the norm though I guess is what I'm getting at.
A lot of places will do in house training so you can do them yourself after the first dose in office. Follow up blood work 6-8 weeks later and then as long as levels are optimal then no need to really check them often unless an issue comes up. Every provider is different. No set guidelines when it comes to checking test levels for TRT patients that I know of.
