+ 7 My Nickas please take care of your Tickas!
Here in the juice forums we pay a lot of attention to testicle recovery, liver function, and wiener function but we rarely discuss heart health in relation to steroid use.
This morning I got word that a pal of mine just has a heart attack. He is 45 years old, fit as hell, very low body fat eats healthy, and yes, he juices. His juicing is limited to test only, never more than a gram a week and he cycles. Doesn’t touch tren or any of the other hardcore juices, just test. He’s smart. Very conservative about his juicing yet his ass at the moment is getting 5 stents places in his heart.
“Holy shit Ed! It can’t be from the juice, haven’t you ever watched bigger faster stronger? The juice can’t kill you!”
Yes kids, I have watched it, and I am of the opinion that the juice can kill you and that we need to always be vigilant when it comes to our intake of anything. Especially if we are injecting shit into our bodies that started in a dirty Chinese sweatshop and then brewed in the bathtub of some 18 year old kid’s parents guest house.
My thought for the day: Pay attention to your cardiovascular health. Check your colesterol..Often. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to schedule regular heart checkups. How many of us eat more red meat than we should all in the name of protein? I sure as hell do. How many of us in the name of Ketosis go for long periods of time only eating meat? I sure as hell have.
At any rate, I think we think of this shit but not really I until it hits home or it’s too late. Life is short and incredibly fragile, no homo) and we only get one. I’d be willing to bet, that as my buddies wife sits in the waiting room, that she really doesn’t give two shits about how ripped her husband is.
As Wise Jerry Springer would put it: “Take care of yourselves, and each other”.
All my love, no homo

ClassyChassisDon't neglect to donate blood. Too many RBC are a potential problem. As is elevated estrogen. Low dose Cialis on the daily is good, as is good ole l-arginine.
Good post brother Ed!!!!!
Hope your friend makes a full recovery.
Lets not forget tho that being super fit has its own set of dangers I've lost a cousin to heart attack and he's never touched a drug in his life...no alcohol cigarettes or steroids.
Basicly he died off over fitness.....it's about balance and moderation
A blood panel from Labcorp is like $100??? You order and pay for it online... they direct you to a blood-draw station near you and you get the results emailed to you in 24 hours---- no excuse to not know some critical numbers.
Absolutely brother! Just had a service for a friend who does @ 49 ... heart attack! We also preach regular blood work is important, & it most certainly is, but regular check ups are just as important! Prevention & early detection can save you a lot of discomfort & possibly your life!!
P.s.
I haven’t seen you in a few days.... that was one long van ride ;) (NO HOMO)

A very good post and very good advice - I just hope people listen. I had my own near-death experience in ICU earlier this year. I rarely eat red meat, didn't/don't smoke, never eat junk food and trained religiously 5 times a week. I also never had check ups. I ignored the warning signs until it was almost too late - now I have a damaged heart and take a handful of drugs each day for the rest of my life. We all read these stories and tend to ignore them because they happen to someone else - but when you become that 'someone else' - you realise how tenuous life really is. Advance merry Xmas to all, stay safe.
Appreciate the post Ed.
My long time gym buddy just committed suicide a short while ago. I’m sitting with his crying wife when the coroner shows up. He’s talking cause of death ( which was an intentional overdose on bp meds and painkillers crushed in liquor) and makes a point to look at me and talk about how enlarged his heart was.
This dude cycled dumb, but never crazy amounts. I don’t think he ever went over 750 a week test. He was one of those dumbasses that would buy a vial of test, run it, but a deca, run it, then crash off. He stayed on a few extended cycles like that, but nothing like the shit we see here every day.
It puts some things in perspective. And the coroner had no problem making that correlation and throwing me a hint.
He smoked and abused substances at times, and apparently struggled with mental health, but I’d call his steroid use pretty mediocre. His arteries were great. Just had an enlarged heart.
Just stay safe everyone. Get your asses on a treadmill or slap some running shoes on every now and then. Our hearts are more important than our biceps.
EldermuscleThis is a really good post, I've been more and more concerned about my heart this last year, I haven't had any issues but I wanna stay on top of things so I don't. Regular check ups are a must and a balanced eating plan for health and growth. I'm guilty of over eating red meat and this is a good reminder to stay on top of our heart health
Yes, of course we must be vigilant. I have to assume, however, that your buddy had a family history of heart disease; something congenital to have a heart attack that young if he’s otherwise healthy like you say. I don’t have a family history of heart disease at all, but I do have a history of congenital hypertension. That’s what I have to keep an eye on especially.
We should all be careful regarding all our organs, whether using drugs or not, but there’s always a weak link in our familes’ medical history that needs to be paid particular attention to.
You are right and these hormones effect us all in individual ways. I am overdo for some testing myself... My regards to your friend bro, hopefully he makes a full recovery.
Hello Sir,
Sorry to hear that.
This seems to be a common problem nowadays. Hormonal substances (AAS) that lead to high blood pressure has long been associated with central hypertrophy of the heart and valve issues. Whereas most of us here worry about liver problems while administrating AAS hormones, it is more common for the cardiovascular system to become a life threatening problem for anyone administrating hormones. The balance of cholesterol levels is very important however the hypertrophy of the heart valve issues and atherosclerosis seem to be the main concerns that is mainly caused by high blood pressure.
Thank you for the post Sir, another reminder for us.
Regards
45? Smfh.... goddamnit
Best wishes to your buddy Ed.
Good reminder to watch the ABCs instead of always just worrying about the madness
Great post ED. It is too bad these good talks are centered around the loss of a friend or an injury. But that's what gets our attention. The mistakes of our own and of others.
RustyhookerReal talk. Scarey talk. Get well soon!!
Solid post and a great reminder ED. (No homo).
I change docs a few years back, to one that specializes in people over 40. Specifically he focuses on the top 10 causes of death and tests heavily for them (along with others). I get bloods every 4 months and ekgs, ultrasounds, etc. at least yearly. I know where I stand when it comes to my health.
You can be in great shape and still have heart issues. Most of it is genetics, but that can certainly be exasperated by your aas use, along with other life altering diseases.
Anyway, I hope everyone gets checked throughly, on a regular basis (no homo).
Sorry about your friend.
Happy holidays!
