+ 1 PCT and Anxiety

ad

I'm a 55 year old male 5' 10" and 192lbs. About 2 weeks ago I finished up a 12 week cycle of Test Cyp. I pinned 200mg every 4 days. I wasn't doing an AI since I never had any issues in the.past all though my last cycle was over 20 years ago. I did mid cycle bloods and my total Test was 2400 and my Estrogen level was 88. So I began taking a liquid Aromasin 12.5 EOD. I noticed I felt better and lost some bloat and the itchy nipples went away for the most part. Started my PCT about 2 weeks ago. I didn't do HCG prior to the PCT since I've heard a lot of bad things about it. So the day after my last pin I began taking a recommend testosterone booster. I won't say the name of it since I don't want to break any forum rules. I also have 20 mg capsules of Nolvadex. I haven't started taking them yet since I've read that I should wait 2 weeks into PCT to take them. I stopped taking the Aromasin about a week ago so all I've been taking is 7 capsules of the test booster.

My problem is that I have been getting some anxiety the past few days and its a pretty crappy feeling. So my question is is this because I possibly have high estrogen levels now? Should I start taking the aromasin again and will the nolvadex help with the high estrogen and the feeling of anxiety? Hopping you guys can give me some advice on this since this is driving me crazy and I don't want to start taking something that might make me have more anxiety

Hey guys here is my updat. Sorry to overlaod you with so much on this but I really want to get this right.

So I just got me bloods back and here are the results:

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, LC/MS/MS: 315 Range : 250-1100 ng/dL
FSH : 1.0 Range : 1.6-8.0 mIU/mL
LH : <0.2 Range : 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL
ESTRADIOL : 22 Range : < OR = 39 pg/mL
HEMOGLOBIN : 17.5 Range : 13.2-17.1 g/dL 01
HEMATOCRIT 51.8 Range : 38.5-50.0 % 01

Is there any blood results missing that you would need? I included the Hemoglobin and Hematocrit since they were all listed as high in range. Not sure if they are important or not.

To recap, my last pin was August 21st and was only 150 mg of Test Cyp. I did a cycle of 200mg every 4 days for 14 weeks. I took Aromasin 12.5 EOD starting at mid cycle when my boods came back that my Estradiol was 88 and Total Test was 2430. After last pin I started the HCGeneration on August 22nd and taking Aromasin 12.5 EOD. I only did this twice more after last pin stopping it on August 25th. Then on Spetember 3rd ,9 days later I started feeling the anxiety, moody and slight depression. So on Septmeber 4th I stated the Aromasin again 12.5 EOD. I took it on the 6th the day before these bloods were takin. This seemed to make me feel better. So then my Blood was taken on September 7th. Since I was still feeling pretty good I didn't take the Aromasin again for 3 days since I was a afraid I could crash my Estrogen not knowing what it was. But on the 4th day of not taking it, (yesterday) I had the anxiety again, moody as hell and felt very emotional. So I took the Aromasin again yestarday, 12.5. I feel a little better today. So now I have my bloods back and I'm even more confused. It appaers that my Estradiol is right in range or maybe border line low. Is my Test to low for my age of 55? Could the low Test be causing the anxiety and emotional feeling? I'm confused because when I had the anxiety and crappy feelings start, I would take the Aromasin and I felt better the next day making me think my estrogen was high. Or is it that the Aromsion Is doing the job on the Estrogen and I need to stick with it more consistently and not take it so sparatic thougout my PCT? What are your thoughts are Clomid and Nolvadex, do I need it and what doses?

FYI here are my Mid Bloods taken on July 6th for a comparison and before taking an AI.

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, LC/MS/MS : 2430 Range : 250-1100 ng/dL
FSH : <0.7 Range : 1.6-8.0 mIU
LH : <0.2 Range : 1.5-9.3 mIU/mL 01
ESTRADIOL : 88 Range : < OR = 39 pg/mL

Thanks for any help you can offer me cuz I need it.....

Any imbalance of hormones can cause anxiety. It is common for anxiety to show itself during PCT since this is the time your body is trying to find homeostasis. PCT is not fun, and side effects are to be expected. Try not to knee jerk react to a side effect, but instead give the body time to adjust. The more PCT's you go through the more familiar you will get to your own bodys reactions and how to handle them. Best advice is typically to deal with the hormone fluctuations as they are temporary. There are always exceptions of course, but they are unique to your body.

Well said. A knee jerk reaction, to anything in life is liable to bring more unwanted side effects and consequences than initially started with. Like you said. Its best to realize this is temporary and stay calm and let your body right itself. For anxiety meditation, long walks, a massage. Anything to take your mind elsewhere. Medication as a last resort.

Thnx jayzgainz I'm trying to keep it together but its tough since its a crappy feeling right now. Im waiting on blood work to come back in the next few days. This will help me to figure out whats going on with my levels. As far as medication I've been considering a lose dose of Zanax or a Valium. But fighting this idea. What's your thoughts can this help until my body adjusts or will this make things worse?

Jayzgainz's picture

Im not qualified to.say if meds would help or harm you. No one here really is. All we can do.is give our advice based on what we may do. Im not against meds. Shit they help many people. I would be careful with anything like xanax which is a benzodiazepine. Very addictive and if taken too long coming off them is horrendous. Ultimately finding the cause of the anxiety and correcting it is the healthiest way to go. I dont know how bad ur anxiety is. Is it constant or a certain time of day? Random? When I stress I walk. Listen to audio book and just roam for half an hr or so. Another thing I do is (when I can) is watch stupid shit on youtube. Just mindless crap like worldstar or other videos similar to.just put my mind elsewhere. If you cant find relief I know there are herbs and drinks out there that supposedly help. I dont know if they do but maybe someone else can help here. Another thing is just talking. If you have a friend that you can rattle shit off to that can be helpful. Eroids is a good place to hang out. Usually plenty of people here to chat with. Personally I would save the prescription meds to a last resort. Thats me though. I spend time in an enviroment where I see the results of overuse of things like xanax so I may be biased. Whatever the case I'm sure you will get through. Take things slow. Your body will right itself and all will be well again.

The anxiety is random and can be mild to medium level and I feel a little emotional both moody like I'm gonna snap. But also I feel like I could cry over silly shit. But no panic attacks thank god.

Yes the other medications scare me to death and is why I haven't taken them even after friends say it would help. Im so worried I'd get addicted and like you, I have seen this ugly monster get its hooks in some dear friends....

I'm on a few other sites and this one hands down has been the best. Best information and no one has been comming back with smart ass comments. You guy are awesome and I really appreciate the help my brothers. I think I'm gonna cry lol....

No self medicating! It could make things worse. Either there's something wrong that bloods will reveal or its pct blues & you just have to man up & push through it. That's something I wish more took into consideration when choosing a cycle is how the pct will be.

OK I got it....Thnx again...

If it gets too bad, just keep hanging & chatting with us lol... there's enough crazy posts here to keep one pretty entertained!! Smile

I'm trying to add a picture to this post but I dont know how. I will tell you that the bottle says: Tamoxifen 20 mg/capsules " for research use only not for human use"

Everyone's body is different & reacts differently & even the same 2 cycles can have different sides on the same person. thumbs up for the bloods.... over 20 years I assure you that your body has had some changes. High & low estrogen sometimes produce the same sides & knowing your body & keeping a log will help you know where your at & of course it's worth it to draw bloods again to be sure. I know a lot of people who use the ai into pct due to rebound. I can't advise if you should or shouldn't not knowing for sure where your e2 is.
For future reference maybe this will help you some my friend

Thanks jarhead2, and everyone else that responded. I just got my bloods done so I can see where my test and estrogen levels are. I'm sure this should give me some answers. It should take about 3 to 5 days, hopefully I can hang in there till then lol since this is a really crappy feeling. I guess I'll wait till I get my blood levels back before I start taking the Nolvadex.

JARHEAD2's picture

Awesome bro!! Give us an update & log it for your own resource in the future. Pct sucks period, but there are some ways we can minimize by taking precautions. I always recommend Nolva & Clomid & hcg can aid in a smoother recovery. The fact is that everyone might not get them every time, but everyone gets the PCT blues. Again, way to go getting the bloods & post them when you get them & let take a look.

Thnx again Brother, I will post them as soon as I get them back. Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday. I can tell you that my mid Cycle bloods where a total testosterone of 2430 and my estrogen was it 88. I didn't start taking an AI until after I saw my estrogen was so high. I will also say throughout my whole cycle my libido seemed to be down where I saw that other people said there's was always up so I'm not sure what that was about for me. Crazy.

Its proven that too high or too low testosterone can cause anxiety but I have never heard that high estro levels can induce this problem, rather too low e2.

But maybe your body needs just time to regulate his hormone levels again and until then u have this probs or it is a complete different thing what create this mental feeling.

Be careful with your aromasin and nolva, maybe estro is already too low? And be careful that you dont crash your e2 so do bloods again and check e2 level!

Why do you wait so long with the pct and how will they look like? nolva only?

What ingredients are in your booster?

Anyway, check bloods again and best u asking your doc for some advice, cause as I already said maybe the reason is another.
