Time to do something about it
ad
Hi,
First time posting on anything like this or reading into it. I am 22 years old 6ft~ and 107kg
Basically I have let things go from what used to be a healthy active lifestyle and I am now unhappy with my appearance, I'm not all fat still quite solid.
I'm looking for some guidance and open to any suggestions on the best way to lose body fat. I am back in the gym 4/5 times a week. Please be as descriptive as possible (Quite ignorant in this area)
Thanks

There is a fella on here who goes by the name "The D" and he was doing what he called "kegel excercises" and lost a shit ton of weight. You might check in with him.
Are you taking the pish?!?!
Pretty simple way to lose bodyfat is Vikings no carbs after 2pm method. From 7am-2pm you can have around 100-150g if I recall correctly. Then after that only carbs from veggies. It's really simple nobody can fuck it up. No carb cycling involved or refeeds ( i guess you can bit you wanna keep fit simple). Just make sure your eating 500 cals under your Maintance, so if it take you 3000 cals to not gain or loss just maintain you'd eat 2500 everyday. Throw in 30 minutes of low intensity long duration cardio 4-6 times a week or 20-30 minutes of hiit or even better switch it up, few days of one few days of the other. Then if or when your fat loss stalls you can up the low intensity to 45 mins to an hour and up the interval a bit to to keep progress going. Eventually depending on how much fat you're trying to lose you'll have to further lower your calories. But no steroids or anything needed for this, just a lot of quality food cardio and hit the weights hard.
Simple but effective.
That sounds like a simple way, at the moment I've been trying to avoid all carbs and going for as much protein as possible, at the start of my work out I've been attempting a HiiT I may be pushing it too hard cause they're not 20/30 mins long it's a jog to warm
Up followed by 40 seconds at 17kmph 30 second rest and in the rest increasing the incline of the treadmill, repeating this until 10 on the incline. my heart rate is hitting about 190-200 bpm then from there a slight recovery and straight into weights trying to maintain a high heart rate and sweat which seems to be working.im also trying to keep the weights quite well balanced and rounded workout not specifically concentrating on muscle groups is this a good or bad idea ? Then after that I'll either go for a light swim or cycle to cool off
Thanks for the help
If you are looking to lose, HIIT is a great way. You need to ensure that you are sweating your ass off. That is fat crying as it leaves the body. If you are avoiding carbs, your body will be burning protein instead for energy, just as a heads up. Low carb intake will help keep you catabolic though, and shred off the fat.
Just as was stated above and I stated as well below, you NEED a caloric deficit in order to lose. You cant pour gas on a fire and expect it to burn out. Cardio is the water, fat is the fire, and sugars and carbs (especially late at night) are fuel for the fire. You have to decide what you would like to do.
Also, drink LOTS of water. At least a gallon a day. I shoot for two minimum every day. It isn't a problem for me because I bust my ass in the gym, and power through a gallon there alone usually.
You are too young and your HPTA and endocrine system will not take the shock of anabolic / androgenic steroids well. You could possibly shut down your body and cause yourself to have very low testosterone for the rest of your life. You currently should have sufficient testosterone in your body that a good diet and an intense and steady routine will be plenty sufficient.
If you are not happy with your appearance due to increased stores of body fat, you need to first and foremost cut out all simple carbs. Any sugars or starchy foods need to go. Carbs are not your enemy, but if you are looking to drop excess body fat and weight, they are certainly not your friend. You need to learn the difference between a complex and simple carbohydrate and how they function.
You also will need to increase your protein intake. I suggest 2 grams per kg of body weight. Being in the gym 5 days a week is a great point to be at, and you need to ensure your workouts are intense enough that you are sweating. I would also be sure to end your workout with some good cardio as well.
If you are looking to cut you NEED to have a caloric deficit. 3500 calories extra is a pound gained, 3500 deficient is a pound lost.
Thanks for the input huge help and explains a lot I've replied to another post up there if you could read and post your thoughts that would be great

Thanks this is a great help
backonroidsSo Cody have you got the answer you where looking for ?
I will explore all options(by explore I mean read into) just out of curiosity. However never the less the method you speak of, being clean food and good routine, is a personal favourite as I imagine the sense of reward is unmatched. What whey protein do you reccomend ?
backonroidsI highly recommend not wasting time exploring all options .. as you need to read DIET AND WORKOUT! So why read about anything else when the time could be reading and increasing your knowledge on the think that will give you the results.?
I am being very patient at the moment , if I hear anything more than what I've suggested , that's when i will get your arse Banned and I will be keeping a eye out .
Like I said I really don't know a lot, and clearly don't know a lot about this site because there is a lot of talk about anavar and clenbuterol this is not me saying that's what I'm interested in doing just reading on what people say about them. Thank you for your patience... do you advise against natural fat burning aids then ?
backonroidsForget about any pills you do not need them , they will not benafit you .. the guys writing about anavar are experienced older members / bodybuilders .
What I suggest is the best way i promise you that and I'm sure others will agree .. have a read on the nutrition etc if your struggling make another post asking for help / advice in a good diet for (say your goals ) and work out routine to help you achieve what you want.
This time include all your stats , current diet , what up want to achieve etc,
You will get valuable information in this community that will transform your body ! Just through good diet and exercise .
Thanks will revise my position, diet, routine etc and put together a better post.
Once again thanks for your time and help, I guess this post will be good help for people in a similar position to me.
backonroidsSure will mate . Glad you came to your senses and thank you for listening .
Just remeber "curiosity killed the cat" lol
Typo my age is 22, @backonroids how come you keep referring to my age what implications come with it ? Does it mean that a lot of the supplements talked about on here are not advisable due to my age ?
backonroidsOnly supplement we advise is whey protein and good clean foods my friend.. if you've come for anything other than diet and exercise advice best to leave .
Good diet and a good routine that's all you need
AnonSpot on.
AnonSlightly confused, your profile states your 21 years old but above you state your 22, you joined today... :/
backonroidsJust about to type that lol yeah I noticed it too but to be honest it could be a typo he will not have any benafit on either age
AnonYup. No harm either way, just usually find that type of error is something of a tell tale sign which may or may not raise its head further down the line lol.
backonroidsAgreed mate :-) will give the benafit of the doubt for now , hopefully he's a decent lad and will listen to the guidance people have to offer and not ask advice on magic beans ..
But worth keeping a eye on
AnonSpoke to soon mate lol ^^^^^^^^^^^
backonroidsSee people catch me when I'm in a good mood and I try and be as nice as possible then backfires .. usually I'm harsh haha
AnonNah you called it fair and square, and sent the kid off with the correct info.
backonroidsHi there welcome , click on the link below for diets and workouts .The rules are also there for you to have a read of too .
Please bear in mind due to your age there will be no talk of anything other than the two topics mentioned above . Just wanted to make that clear to save everyone time.
Some more stats would be useful , outline your daily diet , what type of workouts , cardio etc
So if your ready to focus on diet and nutrition the brothers here will be more than happy to help you reach your goals .
Good luck on your journey
