Legit prep coaches
ad
Anyone on here can recommend a legit or a few prep coaches that doesn't cost 1200-1500 for 12 weeks. The only few Ive seen that I may consider as my first coach since ive always done my own experimentation and prep are Bios3training ( JERRY ) and Rxmuscle (Dave)... both are below 1000 for prep and Jerry is under 500.
Anyone else shed some light with prep coaches that prep bodybuilders and not mainly physique class/ women classes. ?
Ive decided who Im going with. Thanks guys

Personally I think money is better spent on a posing coach then someone who is just going to write out a diet plan or drug plan for you. So if you are looking to spend money that is where I would spend it first. Not rocket science to plan out a diet and adjust on your own based on calipers, the scale and mirror.
I hear ya. I figured if i was to go with one, this would be the time. and since he does offer posing hes in the east coast...And i hate to toot my own horn, but I feel i`m pretty decent at most poses. Some i do need to perfect though. Thanks makwa
Ive done a few guys on here drugs and diet protocols for free and one of them won their show. Problem is over the internet miscommunications and often lies. Also i remember one of them adding a drug because another cunt got involved aka gearhead aka dikkhead fuck face he was. Alot of it comes down to money and access to the drugs needed. One guy whos rich can run 15iu of growth ed all year. Another can only afford 4iu for 9 months etc. I have to admit i do like palumbo.
Thanks for the advise and thats awesome that you help out people like that. luckily tuttle does phone calls too i guess but well see hen the time comes. Palumbo does too but he seems so busy with business and his own stuff idk how back and forth or personally involved he would be able to be. Although he was my first choice. And his diet regime seems pretty straight forward, basically what i have done in my last 3 preps. Low cars then basically no carbs. But he does seem extremely knowledgeable
Good prep coaches can prep all types of people. Bodybuilders, physique, figure, women's physique.
You want a versatile prep coach, because he knows many different circumstances. Not everyone has the same genetics and preps the same way. Some people half to push diet hard and add more cardio, some can coast and do less cardio, and individually you change.
5 years ago I dieted different then I do now. My body responds different. My stage weight is 20+ lbs heavier. I dry out differently, I cardio differently.
I hear ya, Ive always done my own prep cause Ive been good at learning and adjusting as my body changes through each prep. But i feel now that Im at the level of nationals, I feel like maybe a legit prep coach would be good. And all the ones around me (within 150 miles) are all mostly team based. womens and mens physique only seem like).
I agree at the national level a coach is a big deal. The extra set of eyes that know what they are looking at. I see AJ Simms listed. He coaches some big big names. Men and women. I have mad respect for the man but he's pricey.
Getting an affordable coach is the problem. I paid a lot for who I use. But I ve been with coaches since I started. And I prepped myself. Honestly, same results. But a lot less stress with a coach.
Picking a coach is hard. Not only do you have to factor budget but also personalities and belief system.
"""Getting an affordable coach is the problem. I paid a lot for who I use. But I ve been with coaches since I started. And I prepped myself. Honestly, same results. But a lot less stress with a coach."""
Thats why at the end of the day it was hard for me to get one. Why spend all that money if Im going to get the same results. But the fact now i have someone to help with stress and making sure i have all my stuff ready and checklisted, i feel hopefully it will be worth it.
There's a hand-full of really good coaches.
Matt Porter - Used him before, it was years agao hes very good but busy. He doesnt take on just anyone, youll have to send pics- was reasonable back then dont know what hes charging now.
Matt Jansen (never used) but have ran his training before. Outstanding knowledge base. Reasonable priced.
Clay Parker out of Florida, I have several close freinds that he coaches. Ive never used hiim, but see him around regularly, dont know if hes taking on clients. He stopped about 8 weeks before nationals. around 200 per month, or 150 per if a year contract.
A.J. Simms but once again very busy. hes around 300 per month
I know this is an old post, But i came across Chris Tuttle, he was coached by Chris Aceto so that may say something. Ive went back and forth with him a little and seems like a very good coach for the price. Anyone else been coached or knows someone thats been coached by Tuttle, or his style?
chris tuttle is a smart guy. he has worked with aceto for a very long time. often times as far as money is concerned, it is a lot more affordable to higher someone who has worked with a top coach. that way you still get a lot of the same guiding principles that aceto uses but for a fraction of the price. obviously its not aceto, but a lot of ideas that aceto has used with tuttle will most likely be used with you.
i wouldnt hesitate to use tuttle, and i know he is very affordable as well.
the above coaches matt porter, matt jansen, aj sims are all also great coaches too. i know jasen used to be more affordable, but his rates have probably gone up.
if money isnt a concern, trey hodge, john meadows, or fakhri mubarak are all great coaches too.
Thank you for the advise.
What you said is exactly one reason why i really think ill go with tuttle.
TryHarder007Alright so I got tons of friends in the biz. Jerry is not bright in coaching. Now Dave, Love the guy, met him once and his daughters future husband is a buddy of mine!
Pm me and i can tell you some great coaches for cheap and still some great ones!
BeastintheeastMy coach is phenomenal brother. Not sure if im allowed to post his name on instagram so I'll pm it to you. He's not a high priced guru but has multiple pros in all divisions and isn't crazy overpriced also does monthly payments. If you want to go for a guru I'd say hands down go with Matt Porter. Not as pricey as hany or palumbo and just as knowledgeable
You are allowed one account
BeastintheeastThat was weird I just saw the other guy named beast of the east lol. Should I change my name? Just recently made my account
Just hang tight for a few until I can clear it up
I was wondering what the heck this was all about. I was confused for a min. Thanks Beastintheeast for the recommendation. I`ll hit him up and see what dudes all about.
I'd try and find someone local if you can that can see you in person once a week/make you pose etc. I've been coached by ifbb pro's under Hany and Farah, this allowed me get an idea what each coach had their athletes doing, without the $5k bill. You shouldn't have to pay very much at all (few hundred bucks total) for coaching, as your success does not lie within the coach you pick or trade secrets but the work you put in. Also unless you're huge now, you might want to consider giving your coach more than 12 weeks (e.g. 24+ weeks to include an Off-season and pre-contest). Good luck bro.
itgoesdownI have two where I'm at and one of them trains and preps ppl for contest all over the US. But I will say before picking someone do research to the max on them cuz there's so many out there that just take your money and don't do anything.
Testrogen_PropC...I would avoid Jerry Ward like the plague as a prep coach personally even tho I think he's a decent guy. Palumbo knows his shit though. I'd go with Palumbo.
That what i was thinking. I like jerry, seems like a cool decent guy( knows everyone in the industry) , but i dont know if he`d be a good fit as a legit coach or able to take someone to that level. Most places i see like teamzerogravity etc that are big names but its a TEAM and Im so sick of the (you have to be on a team man) BS.
Testrogen_PropC...Yeah fuck the team shit if there isn't one you want to be part of. Just hire Palumbo and have fun competing, get yourself as peeled as possible and enjoy the process. Fuck everything else.
Thanks. Ill keep an eye out for that makwa. Its alll about whos team your on nowadays and i just want a coach that knows the science behind everything and has worked with BB. The USA Nationals in vegas is my next show I`m going to do and I know thats the big dogs. Konig, Im very dedicated athough youll hear everyone say that so take my word or not. Id say my only problem is I know how to train, and train pretty hard by myself(again 99% of people will say they do but dont) so take that as you may. But my only problem would probably be training with what they want me to train. Im almost looking for just a nutritional/PEP coach but Im finding myself having to give up my training style probably and do what they say.
thanks guy
I have a great one but you gotta work hard for him, he wont take you if your not 100% dedicated to the sport and are ready to suffer.
If have a certain show in mind, alot of times you can find prep coaches advertising for that show and check them out to see if you like them.
