You know guys I understand wanting to score some free gear, but some of you guys are just fucking assholes about it. Are you that broke? You know when all you do is hustle and review for free gear you are watering down the legitimacy of our whole premise for existing. You are a bought and paid for vote.
You are gaming the system. And truth is we simply don't have the time or resources to catch all of you, it just isn't possible. That said, when I do stumble across your username and happen to look it is very easy for us to see what is going on. If you have reviewed well over dozen times in a year you are a promo whore. If you have and I come across you I am going to take a big chuck of your karma since that is one of your tools to get sources on your jock.

Now what happens when I run a prep cycle and I have 10+ compounds from oils, orals,to hgh/igf, thermogenics etc from many different sources. I would have to selectively choose who to leave a review for and leave some others out if capped at the number of reviews. Not a big deal but just something to think about also.
Now with a multi compound prep and say I run 1 or 2 more cycles during the year, that could end up being a ton of potential reviews I could leave. I usually stick with a few sources anyway so it wouldn't affect my reviewing ability for the most part if we are limited to a certain number.
I think thats a pretty good idea, the only change I would make would be that apply to each type of source. Like HGH, Steroids, Accessories, ect. Because some good sources don't carry HGH and some HGH carriers don't carry gear.
But all in all, I think that model would be a good idea.
I am all for fairness and a little honesty in the reviews; otherwise, I might as well be pissing into the Artic wind. I also agree with the concept of limited reviews per each type of product category. I would however allow more reviews per year for HGH since some of us use or want to use it year round. Also, I recommend allowing the Over 40 on TRT group an additional 1 or 2 reviews for AAS and ancillaries. We older TRT fuckers use year round, and throwing us a bone every once in awhile for a review based on experience, maybe not so much in my case (just 8 years of TRT), ought to be good for everyone.
bigmurphI agree with something close to that the fact is you should only be running 2-3 cycles a year say you put in 4 max review the products you only used in those cycles no one offs where you had 20 dbol tabs just an example but you cant review 20 dbol tabs unless you ran those 20 tabs for 6wks. Thats how I see it each compound has a length of time we all know that you need to run it to get a true feeling for how it worked

AnonGood read. Just from an average Joe here, and yes I have joined a few promos here and there, but never abuse. The conception from the average Joe like me is that the MODS are taken care of, "gear," and do not have to pay for gear. Hence this is all conception, I have no idea because I'm not behind those doors. Maybe a MOD can bring light to this.
Hard to understand what you're implying but I'll tell you this. To prevent the perception that we favor a source, or, in anyway indorse one. We mods have surrendered our right to leave a review of any kind; good, bad, or otherwise.
So, unlike the promo whores who skew our ratings. Mods can't affect the ratings, not even for the benefit of our favorite sources from whom we purchase our gear. We can't/won't even tell you in PM who we use or recommend.
If you're implying that Mods get free gear and that you should be able to get free gear so all's good then I think you have completely missed the point of this post.
If you think going to a source and asking to join a promo is the same as spending several hours of your day monitoring, and arbitrating, this site, rooting out trolls and scammers, keeping sources in line etc., etc.. Then you truly are smelling burning wires.
Another thing is there shouldn't be reviews allowed for the sources running the promo at the time.....
See member's run and throw up a quick review just to get in another promo or the source......

I will say though the amount of srcs I've turned away trying to give me a couple vials for a review is a long list.
So I would almost say half the problem with promo whores writing fake reviews is half the srcs fault.

Must be an american thing i never get any offers, first one i had was last week but that was just letting me know about their promo. Its the same as people with multiple accounts, trying to double or triple up.

Its not against the rules to get free or discounted gear, its against the rules to manipulate the voting sytem for that free gear though, example- you use a source for years and its xmas- they put some free gifts in for you, nothing wrong with that, use the gear and review honestly and even state you got free gift, but if for example you or i for example approach a source and say send us free stuff and we will make sure we leave you perfect tens all round no matter what- thats a scam and a bought review- then theres the reverse switch- send free stuff or im leaving you a bad review- again manipulated and dodgy, then also there is the whores- getting i on every scroungy ten pack of dbol and leaving multiple reviews over and over, this is the shady grey area, because the review might be legit or it might be a young guy with a boner for free gear leaving that review in hope of another pack of free dbol- i believe a time limit for promo gear like that would help, say 3 months.

Unfortunately the review section has become unreliable for source researching. I liken reviews to political commercials. Mostly fluff, and while some honest statements are made they are diluted with BS. Not sure there is a way around it unfortunately as all review sites are plauged with cheerleaders and commercials putting their favorite sources on pedestals....or those that hand out free stuff.
Lot of money in this industry for both sides. I would suspect many of the promo whores profit greatly by dumping off promo items to buddies or fellow gym goers. Hopefully new members have the patience to sift through the nonsense and make good decisions.

Agreed, u basically need to assume everything is false until your research proves otherwise. There is too much money involved so no controlling it. I also believe there is selective scamming, so even good batches can be followed by poor ones.
I got in on one promo since I've been here. I haven't used the gear yet so I haven't reviewed. I'm not even looking for the deal, I'm looking for consistent quality.
I'm new here and I agree with you., I've been accepted in one promo that I haven't received yet and got a nice discount on another. But I joined because I got scammed on a big order, and want info and legitimacy. I'm afraid that sources will send strong stuff for free for that review., and we fall reading the review and get the half dose stuff. But It can get enticing. just made an order from a hidden gem. I just want a solid source. Thanks for the work bro. Its well appreciated.

But what if these freebie promos were done away with.
Promos would become discounts and you could only review it if there was enough ordered to make it worth being reviewable. No more reviews of 20 free tabs of d-bol or a vial of Prop.
Then you would have to have some skin (money)in the game to give a review. You could also review the whole process, from payment, customer service, shipping and the final results.

Yea, that isn't likely to come to fruition. Truth is just a fraction of eroids users abuse promos, pics, or anything else here. They also can only fly under the radar for so long until their stealth wears off.
