Does Test give you more power?

ad

From people's experience does Test Enth give you power when you lift? I read from different people it does and it doesn't. I've been on it for 6 weeks and I don't notice anymore strength when I lift. I'm actually stuck in a plateau not getting past 160 lbs dumb bell chest incline/decline and arms not getting past 130lbs barbell curl. Arms are my weakness and because of that it's impacting my chest press. Thoughts?

After my extreme high dose of 600 mg week, I'm lowering it to 150mg a week due to high blood counts.

I have gained in reps and total weight in all lifts five weeks in on a 12wk cycle. Are you specifically training for strength? I've noticed that many bodybuilders peak in strength because they only train for hypertrophy. I usually cycle back and forth between strength and hypertrophy to get the best of both. Try to lower your rep range 3-6 reps and go heavier on your compound lifts

At 50, I gave up on lifting heavy, it wasn't worth the time off I had to take for the injuries I kept aggravating. I went light working on form, really squeezing the muscles, really playing the neg's and boom, more growth in 2 years than in the last 10. I also threw out the bench, if I can't get an angle on my lifts, i don't do them.

Not all of us are blessed with the Genes of The Beast, remember your 40, not 25. Lift safe. And sorry, I don't notice much of a power increase with Test, i notice a tremendous increase in energy and state of well being - which probably keeps me motivated and it has definitely changed my body composition.

everybody is also different. I do have heavy days, they are just not as heavy as before....

Great idea. Focus on strength for your big compound movements at the beginning of your workout and then move on to your hypertrophy stuff (lower weight, higher reps). You are stimulating different muscle fibers at different weights and both can lead to growth for a beginner.

If you looking to gain power keep your Reps under 4 heavy as you can go with good form.. Last set heavy as you can go with good forum 2 reps 4 sets total .. This method is how I train when just looking to get stronger won't do much as far as adding size

Biceps have zero effect on a bench press. It's your triceps and lats that pick up the slack. Biceps are primarily a cosmetic muscle in regards that only basic movements use them. Triceps on the other hand control a hell of a lot more. You need to build your triceps and upper back/lats and you will break the bench plateau. Although it is important to let your triceps do some of the work, you need to make sure you are squeezing your chest at the top of the movement and stretching at the bottom. Or get ready for shoulder pain and plateaus.

What are you eating before the gym. Are you giving your body the nutrients to lift that extra weight.

7 days a week

And there's s big part of your issue. Training way too much. Where's your time to actually grow?

You train arms twice a week, plus your triceps get trained on chest day, your biceps get a hammering on back day. They don't get chance to recover and grow.

You train shoulders twice a week, plus they get a beating on chest day. See where I'm going with this??????

You're still training too much. A guy in your position should be testing 3 or 4 days per week.

Trying to gain size.

And it should have said training, not testing. Love autocorrect.....
