Long term TRT experience?
ad
So I know that people always say "TRT is for life" but I've rarely come into contact with anyone who has been on longer than 5 years or so. Is there anyone on here that has consistently been on TRT for a long time, say more than 10 years?
I'm hoping to get your perspective on the long term risks vs. benefits and any challenges you have faced along the way.
I'm in the low-normal range and I imagine it is probably just a matter of time before I go that route myself. I have seen men in my family age and die prematurely and I'm doing everything I can to avoid that.
Thanks in advance for your response.

I've been on about 2 years. Probably should have been on before that knowing how I feel now. I also have a few friends who have been on a lot longer. One has been on 8 years and the other 14 years. The funny part is we all seem to have a little different approach to it. I like to come off for at least a month every year usually in the summer. Other folks never come off, they only adjust their doses. I also have a friend who use to be a pro. He was on and off gear 30 years. He just had a baby in his fifties and his natural levels and quite high. We are all different. Its very much so an individual thing.
Any reason why you come off of TRT for that month? Is that enough time to restart your natural production? Do you take HCG while on TRT?
I don't take anything for PCT. I just come off to take a break from pinning let myself clean out a bit. My Dr. says it doesn't hurt anything. I do feel a bit less motivated and lethargic when I come off. last year I was off for 3 months. Had some family stuff to deal with and just wasn't feeling it. My RBC and hematocrit creeps up the longer I am on, so its nice to take a break before I start my winter bulk.
I been on bout 5 years there is a guy at work who is 66 and has been on it since his thirtys he is in good shape for his age and works hard horney old goat too:) as far as risk vs reward it comes down to quality of life for me without trt. I feel like death and am the worst person to be around. With it I feel normal and normal is a good thing I'm sure it isn't as healthy as your body doing it I won't die without trt but life isn't worth living
Thanks for the input brother. He is in good shape and still chasin' tail at 66? Haha, that sounds like a good long term goal for me.
I hear ya!
