High blood pressure

ad

Hey fam. Just got back from my doc and my blood pressure was a little high, which caught him and I by surprise. It's usually g2g. But, any suggestions on keeping BP in "normal" range while on cycle?

If all else fails, and the readings are very high without you being able to determine the reason (or have enough time to experiment in order to find the reason), try donating blood. Ideally you would want to keep it in check before it came to this though, but it's just a thought if it ever does come down to it!

EQ and Adrol both raise my BP. Once you get off it should help bring it closer to normal. Just being on TRT increases my BP, but just slightly. It also seems the older I get the less tolerant my body is to certain drugs.

An update for anyone interested.. Stopped my anadrol run, still running the test. Bought a blood pressure monitor and my BP has gne down. Goes to show just how one chemical can do so much to ones body. Be safe ..Thanks everyone for your input. Much love!!

This is GREAT news. Thank you for keeping us posted!

No problem.. My BP usually don't run that high but this was my first run with pharma anadrol. When running ug drol, this didn't happen. Guess pharma is where it's at..who knows. I loved the results I had the 3 weeks I was on It tho. But, my health comes first.

thats great to hear ;-)

Good to hear. Glad you found the culprit.

What was your BP bro? How high is a little high? The responses below should help you but using an Rx BP med if need be isn't gonna hurt anything if all else fails. High BP for prolonged periods is very stressful to the kidneys which are incredibly delicate.

wimpy1's picture

It was 168/38. I believe my bottom number is correct. Not %100 positive, but pretty damn sure. If not 38 then it was 83

Dickkhead's picture

168/83 is stage two hypertension. Got to bring that down bro. Invest in a high quality home blood pressure monitor with a cuff big enough to fit your arm. Mine just sits on the kitchen table. Try some homeopathic approaches over a week or two. Check BP in the morning when you first get up, an hour after you train and before you call it a day. If it just sits up there get the doc to prescribe you a med to bring it down. When you are off cycle you may not need the med. Don't procrastinate with this.

Damn.. Got me stressed now brother. I'll go grab me a monitor this evening after work. Thanks for your input. Very appreciated

Don't be stressed, just use it as motivation to get it under control. I'm on trt and I have to be on BP meds now. It's no big deal and it's worth having good numbers.

Thanks alot my friend. I will definitely be keeping an eye on it alot closer from here on out. Gonna drop my adrol and see what my numbers are after a week of being off.

Great point about the cuff size. Also I'd bring it in to the doctors office to verify its accurate. I had to replace mine because it was reading 20 points higher than it was. +1

people tend to over emphasize watching salt intake.. what you need to watch is processed foods that contain an excess of sodium... the reality is that if you restrict salt intake when you get any... you will blow up retain water and raise your bp because your body is out of balance and will hold on to the salt ... you need to make sure your salt intake is balanced ...

you can give blood, do a bit of extra cardio (walking will do), hydrate properly, use a baby aspirin ...

however you supplied us with info that you are using anadrol and that WILL increase your blood pressure

wimpy1's picture

I'm gonna drop my adrol.. Then check it again in a couple days and see where its at. Thanks.

kodiakGRRL's picture

a vitamin e supp will also thin the blood .... but gear head is right you need to get that bp down asap

dbombs's picture

Donating blood, low salt intake and proper hydration like others have said... I also include baby asprin and time release niacin on every eq cycle I run bc it spikes bp.

BigThing's picture

Make sure you are hydrated, minimize salt and caffeine containing stimulants intake. Def stay away from EQ. If cycling, I would aim for lower doses and avoid anything that makes you hold water. Dht derivatives such as winny raise bp in some people. If it's only slightly elevated then you should be fine with lite cycles. If it is significantly elevated then I would reconsider cycling.

Makwa's picture

What is your cycle. Some compounds increase my BP and others have no effect. Might have to shelve something if it is giving you issues with bp

wimpy1's picture

Running 600mg test e weekly, 50mg anadrol daily. Been on for 3 weeks now.

Makwa's picture

I would try dropping the adrol and see what happens. Seems to lose its effectiveness after a couple of weeks anyway unlesss you pulse it.

vhman's picture

Test and other aas (Eq) will raise your red blood count, which will make your blood thicker and that will raise your blood pressure. Giving blood will help. I'm on trt and I give regurally to keep my bp in check.

wimpy1's picture

I may have to consider giving blood. I've never done it while on cycle.

vhman's picture

It's a must for me, even at trt doses. Many here donate blood during cycle to keep their BP in check and to keep their blood from turning into sludge.
It's easy and quick to donate and it helps people. A win, win.

try to watch your salt intake and stay hydrated

Thanks man. I def need to drink more water. I didn't think about the salt raising my BP. I need to lay off that too.
