Bad news from doc
For those of you who know my situation I just wanted to send out a message. Those that don't i ruptured my bicep at work and have been inj since nov 5. Its been hard not being able to work out but also life in general isn't very easy with one arm. I went and saw my doctor today and I have another 3 months before I can even touch a weight. My doctor did tell me i can lightly workout other parts of my body but that from how I see it means legs maybe some core. I just wanted to say to the community be careful injuries are no joke and can take away from us what we love to do. So fellas be careful try not to get injured and if you have an injury let it heal don't let it linger and get worse. I wanted to thank everyone who has been talking with me through this time. Eroids has kept me sain because I have not been able to be active and it has helped keep me some what doing what I love. I figure if I can't workout then giving advice and helping others reach there goals is good for me in this time.
Thanks to all members of eroids and those certain few especially you know who you are.

Good to hear ya on the mend bruva. Perseverance and persistence, is a winner. It wasn't long ago that you struggled to do a lap around the block.
Keep your head up!!!
bigmurphYou remember that
Thanks I appreciate it brother
Fuck, that's a fucked injury. Have seen horrible videos of powerlifters deadlifting and suddenly their biceps tore.
Hope you heal up quickly man! All the best
bigmurphAppreciated
Heal up fast, You're doing the smart thing and listening to your body and the doc's advice, especially with a bicep tear. The downtime gives you ample opportunity to rest and recover but also learn more about health and wellness. Plan your meals, keep progress of your diet and what exercise you can do,and try to make a positive out of a negative if you will. Be strong mentally, this will carry you thru the hard times, and in a few short months you will be back in business! Keep positive and i wish you well on your recovery.
bigmurphAppreciated brother thanks
Murph, how did you bust up your bicep?
Did you know it was ruptured right away, or did you think it was just a strain for a bit?
bigmurphI was at work moving a stack of chairs
I did I thought I just pulled my muscle but I lifted my sleeve and my bicep was gone then I knew what happened
fuck, that must have made you sick to your stomach.
Go easy with that jackin' arm brother murph. You don't wanna wind up 3 mo from now all lopsided. Might look kinda funny with one huge arm, lol.
Keep your chin up buddy. 3 mo will be here and gone before you know it. You'll get through it and be better than ever. Stay after it. There's a lot you can do in the mean time as you know.
bigmurphThanks grit i appreciate it
You got a smile out of me with that post
Best of wishes to a speedy recovery Murph stay positive most of all & just adjust your workouts to the things u can do. Work those legs, stomach and possibly some cardio. Legs has always been my hardest body part to come along. Now is the time to hit these targets and plan out diet. This way u will just b all that much more prepared when u get the green light. Good luck ..
bigmurphThanks man I appreciate the support my legs are definitely going to get better now I have to watch my diet also can't fall off
bigmurphDamn i can't even express how much I appreciate this support you guys and grrls really don't understand how much it helps to know i can put up a post like this and get such a great response
Its a great family around here
TronThink of it as an upcoming battle..an upcoming fight. Now is the time you mentally prepare for the physical. You write out your "come back" routine. You plan out your diet. You know what's coming. You know it's going to be tough. But, you also have peace of mind knowing it's only temporary. And also that %100 without a doubt you will get back to your old self ...and then you will remember this and it will drive you to be better than you were before.
TronMy eroids family has supported me and helped me at times when my immediate family could not.
StevebI'm glad I could be there for you little brother.
TronI love you steveb. Always have. I have always supported you when you came out of the closet and became a gay rights activist and I have taken a lot of heat for it from homophobic members of our community ...but you are my brother and I love you.........fag.
StevebDid you figure out I was gay before or after we made love?
TronThat's incest you fuck! Shut the fuck up about that! Goddamn, now everyone knows..
bigmurphWow I didn't know you guys took it that far but hay none of my business lol
TronEX..............ACTLY.
SO SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT
bigmurphIts true i really feel alot better than I did when I got home from the doc i was really down about my situation but I actually do feel good knowing that I have a place like eroids that can keep my spirit up in a rough time like this
TronI took a year off after getting married..ate like shit and stopped working out...after only 8 months, eating right, and working out I'm better than I was before..muscle memory is a real thing and this will just seem like a bad memory to you..BUT, one you will be able to laugh at eventually. ..keep mentally strong my dude..
bigmurphThanks brother I can't wait till its just a memory I appreciate it
That really sucks man, I know you can't wait to start lifting again. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Be strong brother and I really hope it will heal faster than they predict.
bigmurphThanks big you know I can't wait to get back to it
Guess I just have to wait it out
I appreciate it brother
Hope for the best brother , youll be back in no time. Look at this as a vacation and pound your legs every week , maybe plan out some future cycles, type up some routines , set up a diet..... There are plenty of things that have to do with this lifestyle that you can still do, the gym is only a small part. Speedy recovery bro.
bigmurphThanks tony thats the only thing keeping me sain is planning the future and eroids appreciate it
Speedy recovery fella.
You know what I did after shoulder surgery and no training for 6 months? Trained my calves 4 times a week. After 25 years of training I finally have nearly acceptable calves.....
bigmurphI bet you have some really solid calves thanks brother
No, they're just less crap than they used to be lol!
Hope you get well soon. I'm not allowed to work or train since about three weeks and not finished. That pisses me really off, so i know how you feel, bro.
bigmurphI appreciate it brother sorry to hear you're not training also
adversity will always test a mans character ;-)
bigmurphVery true and I can tell you this is testing it
Thanks grrl
I think you will be just fine and you'll have some monster legs too ;-)
bigmurphThat seems like how its going to be i have to look at it in a positive way atleast I can still do something
unless you take the big dirt nap where there is a will... there is a way
I know it's disappointing and frustrating to get the news that you have more months to wait, but it's the right course. Starting back early (on you arm and the like), would almost certainly lead to more injury, which would put you back where you started from.
I severely injured my knee several years back and I was out of it for almost a year. It was frustrating, but I listened to my doctors and have made a pretty good recovery. I'll never be the same (due to the severity), but I'm pretty close. I'm glad I took the time to recover. Best of luck.
bigmurphThanks brother I appreciate it and its true i have to listen to the doc.
If legs aren't a problem to workout, just think how big they are going to be when you can start working out upper body. Keep a positive mental attitude and do what you can.
bigmurphThats positive i like that Thanks brother
Mp859Hoping for a speedy recovery brotha!
bigmurphThanks brother
Sorry to hear that bigmurph. You have definitely been a big help to me and I appreciate it. The healing hands of time is on your side now.
bigmurphThanks brother I appreciate it
RustyhookerGawd, that sounds so painful. Hope you get full recovery.
bigmurphThanks rusty
Hit them legs with reckless abandon. Instead of a tragedy this can be an opportunity.
