does everyone measure their macros or just eat clean lean and follow the basic principles?
So I've done the whole meal prep thing and measured out macros and have slowly gotten away from measuring out and weighing food. I still prep since it makes things easier specially since I work night shift. Now I just cook up clean lean foods.. chicken, 93% lean ground beef (usually just pre patty burgers up or make a low sodium/low fat chilli or hot dish with beans and veggies), Pre marinade steaks to grill cuz leftover steak is gross haha All my meals are based on high protein and then i pick a carb, usually oven roasted sweet potatoes are my go-to. Veggies? kale/spinach mix with garlic .... ANyways the point is that i don't measure anything out and just go by basic guidelines of what to eat and wondering if anyone else does this and how it works for them?

Echoing the ones that have spoken already if you are not tracking macros and weighing your food for exact quantities you are wasting your time. Regardless of what you are trying to do cut bulk maintain Recomp you have to track macros.
If you want to take it to the next level you measure, weigh and log everything. Otherwise it is a guessing game, which isn't going to cut it and will impede you from making maximum gains. Underestimating cals by only 500 a day will result in losing a pound a week and vice versa.
I use to measure out everything.. After you get a firm grip on portions I personaly don't find it necessary to count macros strictly. I do count my protein intake while cuttling while keeping carbs and fat really low.. Bulking I eat as much as I can stomach all day long.. Works for me. If I ever train to get on stage. I would definetly clean it up. Right now I still have a lot of growing to do..
If I'm on a strict diet I definitely measure. It's a great way to follow progress...or lack thereof.
Otherwise I just generally eyeball portions.
That's the way I do it. I have no need or patience to do it any other way.
