+ 1 Weight loss and toning NEWBIE

ad

Hi all,

well i joined a month or so ago, and looked into a few groups and subjects...

I have finally got on the horse again and on a steady pace... starting at 10st 11lbs, now down to 9st 8lbs, which i can see..

I am currently doing daily elliptical work, upto 60 mins per day to get a good sweat on, i have also started this week an ab program, whilst doing home weights , this is minimum of 5 times a week...

My question is this:

After my ab and arm work out, i dont feel like i have done enough, i have a strong core regardless, but im doing the recommended work out, but i dont get that "aching" feeling after a session (which i must admit, i enjoy)

Am i doing enough? Due to money and confidence issues i cant attend a gym, so all this is from home.

Im currently on high protein meal days, and every now and again i will try and throw in a high carb day.
I take grenade thermo 2x a day
also having BBWarehouse diet whey V2 x2 (which is amazing! NOM)

Any advice is welcome Smile

Fantastic progress you've made, be DAMN proud of yourself. You have already shown that you have the dedication to make change happen.
Find a "recommend workout" and tweak it to suit yourself. Maybe even try a couple different routines and combine the best parts of them.
My personal workouts are ever changing. I try really hard not to fall into the rutt of doing the same thing over and over. Keep your body guessing.
Keep up the good work and best of luck to you!

Have you tried hiit yet? It's something you can do for free in the comfort of your home and will definitely give you a great workout. If you can you can download a free app from your phone and you don't need a lot of space or much equipment.

Congrats on your hard work and progress. Huge difference. One phrase stood out in your post "I am doing the recommended workout". There is no one recommended workout for everyone. Sure when you first start it takes a while to learn routines and your body but after that it's all about you. Your body has amazing feedback mechanisms - pain and fatigue. If you feel pain obviously stop. If you feel fatigue take it easier or a small break.

If you feel neither then kick it up a notch. It's as simple as that and no need to make it more complicated or overanalyze.

Well i have done alot of research on ab work outs, i have got a work out planned out for the month and i do belive it is slowly upping the pace, but obviously not enough for me, so i think i will chuck in some extra sets...

I can crunch like a mofo, its the reverse crunches that do me in!! But im a stubbon mare, i like to push my limit ... I just get moaned at that im pushing myself to hard and i will hurt myself and put myself out of action!

I have looked at the ab rollers before, and wasnt sure if it was just a gimic or if it were actually beneficial.. I may have to consider that!

Thank you for the praise, its nice to hear a professional say that im making a difference... I dont have alot of people around me to notice, so ta! Biggrin

I cant say steroids interest me (then im not 100% on what its all about), I'm purely doing this for my own satisfaction and im in no way ever considering competing with anyone... but myself :3
