Lab question

I forgot the medical term for it but I got tested for my muscle break down tissue and it was 1200 I think normal range is from 80 to 240! Is this a way of telling you are running gear? Hopefully I'm asking this in the right way! Also they did a kidney function test which is normal so that is fine!

I think the test you had was a ck. creatine kinase. This is not a kidney test. It is an indirect test that shows muscle breakdown. It is specific for certain muscle for instance we use CK along wit Tropinin to evaluate heart muscle injury working up chest pain. In your case they used ck as a trend for skeletal muscle breakdown to rule out an illness called Rhabdomyolisis. Rhabdo occurs when people have severe skeletal muscle injury thus releasing CK and thus can cause Renal injury because your kidney has trouble filtering out this large molecule. Treatment is aggressive hydration and rest. Your Ck bein 1200 was quite elevated I would rest and pound fluids since your renal function is fine and don't lift for a couple days. I'm assuming you had some symptoms like muscle pain or severe cramping correct? I do not think it was from gear per say but you maybe over traing ... Remember We should Stimulate muscle not destroy it to make it grow.
Yes that is exactly what it was Ck but they did test my kidney functions as well...I was getting really bad muscle cramps then finally my arm locked up and went numb for about 45 min and while I was on the way to the hospital. So over training I guess you could say that! I have nothing all day to do but eat and lift! I thought I was dehydrated. I just wasn't drinking enough water to flush out the toxins or what not. I was still drinking a shit ton of water a day and that's all I ever drink but I guess just not enough. I have took the last few days off Its hard though lol!!
My creatinine hovers at 1.6. My dr freaked out. I got referred to a urologist who then freaked out and sent me to kidney doc. The kidney doc literally walked in, looked at me and said "youre fine." She said I was carrying significant muscle mass and there was no reason to even test me again.
Never heard of this one bro. Interesting. In plain old blood tests, muscle breakdown shows up in a renal function panel that shows your creatinine level. Creatinine is a byproduct of muscle breakdown and it is supposed to be cleared to normal range by healthy kidneys. However, anybody who is a strength athlete who is just starting out with intense routines in the gym or a mature bodybuilder who is carrying a great deal of muscle mass will have elevated creatinine levels. A family doctor who is not familiar with this will think the patient is in renal failure and send you to a nephrologist. The issue with creatinine is so common, it is a nice "tell" on a blood test. When I look at the labs submitted on eroids, if the creatinine level is normal, that tells me a couple of things. The guy doesn't have any muscle on to speak of (doesn't matter what fake picture he submits, the blood test doesn't lie) or the guy is just starting out in the gym and has no intensity in his workouts. Just some interesting trivia. There are other "tells" on the blood test too about diet and such and of course indicators that show the effects of the steroids themselves.
Interesting bro I learned a little something!! I will get the labs and post them here soon!
OldcrookUsually its highly recommended to do blood works on cycle.
Liver enzyme values. Renal function test, HDL, LDL, Free Test, Total Test SHBG etc.. Muscle tissue breakdown happens due to high muscular stress and strenuous activity. Nothing to worry but regular blood works are important while on gear.
i do! I'm no rookie! Just the first time ever hearing of this plus I just can't walk in a government hospital and ask for this because I can't have my test levels coming back and being over 3000. If you get what I mean!
AnonRhabdomyolysis?
Yessir it's basically dehydration but I've been drinking a shit ton of water!
AnonCoconut water mixed with pedialyte works great for hydration
GreenPointCrew.Looking for bloods here. Your "T" levels Is that what your lookin for ? Also cholesterol levels will also tell you.
Well I heard the doctor say my numbers and the first thing a nurse said was "Steriods!" I know those are the main labs that tell! I was just curious about it whatever everyone's thoughts were on this! These are the only two labs they ran.
GreenPointCrew.Dont sweat it !! Maybe she was thinking you need Steriods for something else Not AAS. Anyways it's none of her business !! That only should be between you and your doctor.
