+ 3 No seizure letter *Busted*
ad
This is kind of scary the college football players had the feds show up at their door instead of a seizure letter.

Dude flipped on his buddy too!?!?
And Im sure many of us know from reading the article where that shipment came from :(
That just sucks man.
all that for 600 winny tabs, just goes to show you, they do go after the fish sometimes
I guess domestic is better, jesus this kind of shit is rediculous . Nobody is sucking shit for roids, its victimless crime.
In your eyes and alot of consumers it is victimless. But, if the government is not getting there fair share on your company or sellable goods by taxes on the business guess what your a threat to their money!
So make it legal and tax it. I bet you doing that would make AAS more competitive in terms of quality and pricing as well. It's a win-win situation.
Yeah just like all the other legal scripts out there.. Big Pharma will step right on up and take it out of your hands once again.. don't forget it USED to be legal
Well ain't that a kick in the ass!!
eh that's why i don't sign for shit! If its not left in my box well, i am not expecting a package.
He never signed for anything, he was arrested while picking up the package in the box.
I thought pack was delivered with mailer from school with an undercover?
Yes, but he never sighed for it.
I think it's obvious they made it a point cause it was a school and make sure no coach was dispensing gear lol.
They knew enough to alert a school administrator, and it was stated the pack was sent to the school. I assume that means a dorm or po box that included the college name in the address. I think they just wanted to grab a couple headlines. They saw an opportunity to link gear to college sports, and they jumped on it.
The regional DEA alerted school officials after the case was handed over to them from the DEA agent that intercepted the package. They did this so they could confirm the name on the package was indeed a Carrol College student. The kid was a 5'9, 160lb RS Freshman on an NAIA Football team. Seems like a pretty low level link to college sports but I do see your point and you might be right.
College mail man probably got sniffy. The folks that deliver my mail are concerned about one thing, getting finished and going home.
And that's why my mailman always gets a Christmas thank you bonus from me...
No the article said they were seized in New Jersey which in turn set up the Missouri River Task force to set up the sting.
tabs are a bad thing to trying to send through the mail and I bet they weren't packaged well ....
Yea, blister packs are pretty bad. But sometimes pharma grade from overseas comes like that.
RustyhookerIntent to distribute. Don't distribute and avoid the news.
A couple hundred 10mg pills of winnie and dbol is hardly enough to distribute. The point is you don't always get a siezure letter before the feds come and get you. This was hardly a big order.
AnonSays 600 pills, which is kinda sketchy to prove its all for personal use. You know if he is ordering that much he is gonna sell some to team mates that I bet were interested. But still, its what you can prove, which is why it was knocked down to a misdemeanor.
X2....prolly too many people knew what was going on....loose lips sink ships...Plus, they had been effin around with dbol for a year...so i agree with u bcuz the amount of probable cause they had was minimal....a tip...they decide to step in and shut it down before it gets outta hand....kids and colleges, now a days, are in the media it seems all the time now......seizure letters are way different situation than this one....kinda smells snitchy!!
Suspened sentence....no jail time....the feds will watch them though and follow this situation prolly making RICO stick on something....lock this thread dowwwwn!!!!
^ this.
RICO?! That's a little bit of an exaggeration, don't ya think? It was 3 grams of Dbol and 3 grams of winny. Far from distributable amounts. When a prosecutor can't prove distribution, it gets dropped to simple possession. A first offender in good community standing will almost always walk away with a slap on the wrist.
AnonActually RICO includes any violation of state statutes against dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in the Controlled Substances Act). But they also must prove at least two acts of racketeering activity within a 10 year span I believe, which they do have if they consider the winny and dbol shipments separate as stated in the article. The amount of people involved is actually irrelevant, could be 1 person or 1000.
Would any of this ever stick? Fuck no, its just something the DA could possibly mention to scare some kid who doesn't know better and have him plead down to a lesser charge. So I agree its a bit of a stretch but not out of the realm of possibility altogether.
No...i dont think so. Anything is possible. More than two people were involved and its a violation of the controlled substance act. In addition, just because one person gets probation, doesnt mean the investigation is over. Situations like this can last for years and then finally they take down 30-40 people. So, you never really know....just saying bro
There were only 2 people involved, anyone else's involvement is only speculatione from this thread. Two people do not constistue an ongoing criminal organization that exists solely for profit or other general mayhem. There has to be years of patterns of the same group of people conspiring with each other to commit criminal activities together, to further the enitre groups cause to build a RICO case. 2 guys on a football team running some cycles to recover from an injury, will never qualify for a RICO prosecution. You are just putting out bad info, and fear mongering.
i believe if its more then one person involved then that makes it a conspiracy which then falls under RICO .. i could be wrong but i think thats how it works
Yep...thats what i just said dude...LE loves speculation....it goes well with probable cause..bad info and fear mongering?....i dont have any reason to put bad info out...plus you only know what you read...what i posted was for a good reason...even you should be scared if you are using AAS. Its illegal. And i can guarantee u more than two people were involved, especially at a college.
Depends bro conspiracy cases happen all the time, happened to me. All you need in a conspiracy case is 2 or more people who can bring up enough evidence to make you look guilty of something. Federal conspiracy cases are far from funny either. Rico is a little much I agree but ive seen that happen too, but quantity wise and the fact that these are college kids on a football team who are in school with most likely next to no record helps , so I don't foresee a rico case lmao . It also comes down to how good you lawyer is, a public pretender works for the same people trying to lock you up in a sense , a good paid lawyer can work miracles to an extent. I'm sure they're scared to death now and its another new story to scare others who are careless too, which is what the war on anabolics is all about...
Yeah, I'm personally familiar with conspiracy as well lol. We all know what they say about 3 people keeping a secret haha. I do agree a good lawyer is a necessity, but have a hard time believing a federal prosecutor would pick up on a conspiracy charge when a state distribution beef failed. As you said though, with their agenda against steroids. This serves ad scared straight message.
Yea I hear that 3 can keep a secret if two are dead :). I've seen the feds not pick things up that they sure an hell should have and then I've seen them pick up things that baffled me that they'd waste their time on it. Hopefully these boys learned their lesson lol. An hopefully this is the end of their troubles.
RustyhookerTrue, sounds overkill. I misread the 2 counts.
Yep yep...sounds like the fuzz was on to them for sometime...sounds snitchy...
