Leg extensions
ad
So, I have been doing leg extensions for 25 years and I had to stop bcuz knees hurt (Patellar tendon) anyone else having this problem and how do you fix it? I have noticed the pain going away since its been a month since I have done any extensions. Not sure if I should give it more time and change how I do them, i.e. Lighter weight more reps or something else. Or never do them again? I still do squats, deadlifts, leg press etc.

You can still develop amazing legs without doing leg extensions. You can keep your heels slightly touching and toes pointed out at roughly 90 degrees on the leg press/hack squat to get an amazing quad sweep / teardrop. Dont get discouraged brother, just train smarter.
Ya, I think so too. Just keep hearing how leg extensions are best way to isolate quads and put muscle on em. But I think your right about the hack squats , presses and regular squats. I'll have to try pointed the toes out.
you're getting old man. i can't believe all the different shit i have to avoid now because it fucks me up in one way or another, things that i have been doing for over 20 years as well. just this week i pulled something in my bicep doing preacher curls. elbows finally almost recovered from some tendinitis going back about 3 months now. tore my pec a couple years ago. as much as i hate it i just have to start training with lighter weights i guess.
Ya I guess I had a pretty good run. It's just a little weird cuz I never had the slightest hint of knee pain until a year ago when I turned 40.
