Help with Accutane
Hello my fellow Eroidions.. I'm looking for some help on figuring out exactly how much Milligrams of Accutane I should start out taking and for how long. I've read quite a few articles and searched some forums that focus primarily on acne and the dosage range severally from one end of the spectrum to the other. This has sparked concerns and I feel that the best place other than a physician is here on Eroids. I purchased 60 10mg Accutane tablets and plan on beginning my regimen as soon as possible, but I want to be completely sure on how much for how long. One article I read a young man in his early twenties started out at 40mgs and is finishing his regimine around 160mgs. Another young lady in her early 30's how been taking 80mgs a day.. I've read countless times it is relative to the formula.. 0.5-1mg per kg of your body weight, while one course of treatment should last for 4-6 months.. I would consider my acne moderate to severe being the higher half of moderate. Unfortunately it has it plagued me since my early teens and it's something I have trouble coping with and it makes me very depressed. I have it on my face, chest, back, arms, theighs, buttcheeks, and neck and it now has begin to take hold on my stomach. Currently I am not on cycle nor have I been for a couple months due to an injury and really wanted to tackle this immediately. I have use all the OTC medications, and I've recently used doxycycline, however it has helped, but not to any real extent. I understand the precautions and the dangers associated with the medication and how it works on a genetic level. Unfortunately I have no money to visit a doctor, nor any insurance I'm heartbroken and I feel pretty much helpless and defeated when it comes to this terrible affliction, please help me if you have experience and not just speculation.
Thank you, Your Friend Champion Of The Mind.

I've had a long conversation with someone that has a lot of experience with it via PM and somethings I've been reading is mostly hearsay. I'm not going to go into details with it however I've made a few decision based on our conversation to run it without a doctors supervision however I will get periodic blood work done to keep a grasp on what is going on internally. I want to express my thankfulness to everyone that has offer insight on the compound and their personal experience with it. I am really grateful to be apart of this community and to have such helpful friends. Thank you again my friends COTM.
I would suggest a dermatologist since they will deal with people on a case by case basis. I'm going to see one because I have the same problem. Its really hard on my self esteem. I feel got you Brutha. Just be safe. I'd hate see you get messed up. God speed brother.
AnonYou really need to go to a dermatologist before starting this so they can test you and monitor you..... Accutane is a pretty serious compound..... Thats my advice
However there is a lot of experience running around here..... I myself have used it with success i started at 20 and worked up to 80 mg and was completely clear in 5 months
AnonUnder a doctor's supervision would be best. If you take it make sure you DO NOT take it with C-17 alkylated oral AAS. You would almost certainly guarantee liver failure with that combination.
10mg in the morning and night with a fatty meal or glass of milk to aid absorption. Keep the level consistent without too many peaks or troughs. 20mg/day is not too harsh. Doses like 160mg/day are really for the worst cystic acne.
Don't go out in the summer sun without sunblock. You'll fry.
Don't take any vitamin A supplements. It competes for the same receptor so your treatment won't be as effective.
Limit your drinking (alcohol) and paracetamol (acetaminophen) and anything else intrinsically hepatotoxic.
Accutane is unmatched for treating acne but be safe.
AnonMake sure and no matter what you do have a liver support protocol ready to deploy the day you start. This shit is harsh bro. Be safe
I have a ton of liver support my friend and probiotics, I run a lot of orals so I'm always on top of it plus I drink water like a fish LOL.. Thank you carlos.
juiceboxx1212I've taken accurate "monitored by a doctor" the stuff is bad shit bud it's kinda a last resort. when I took it it was "experimental" and I had to sign waivers and stuff. I wouldn't just start popping tabs man. That's designed to basically kill oil pours in your body. It worked great for me but like I said it was under a doctors supervision I had to get bloods drawn every 3 weeks too. At least set up an appointment and have a consult with a doctor first bud.
No offense Champ; but you might have to suck it up and see a doctor since nothing is working for you. We can give you recommendations all day long and without knowing your internal makeup we might as well be shooting Deer blindfolded. Take the money you spend on AAS and just go see a doctor; otherwise you are just going to chase your tail.
None taken dude... Most of the gear I've received is through my EBC sponser. Or I wouldn't have anything at all bro.
I know how it feels man, fucking acne sucks so bad. You need baseline bloods for lipids and everything else and them bloods after the first month, start at 40mgs. Those bloods after the first month wi tell you how it's going to effect you. According to my derm and in my experience side effects are not dose dependent. So what you see in those bloods will tell you how it's going to effect your body. That was it, I ran it under a derma care and only got bloods before and after the first month not every month like people talk about. If you teally want to nip this in he butt for good the cumulative dose you need to hit us 125mg/kg of bw. If you don't hit that the chance of acne coming back is really high,
I got tons more info on this stuff so pm me if you wanna know more,
Thanks bud.. When you say 125mg/kg of bw collectively. That would be the complete sum of MG's I would run. For the duriration of my regimen. So 190 x 125 would be the total amount I would take over 6 months. Then I can divide that by 6 and I would have the amount per month.
Start with 10 mg EOD as It takes time to start working and at first will make the problem worse. Unfortunately there are a lot of Generics out there and the dosing are not very consistent. Best when taken with Almond butter. Do not use peanut butter as it seems to irritate acne. If you start to use more then 10 mg a day split the dose up. Dial makes a great Glycerin soap that you can get at Wal-Mart. I think it is about five bucks for two bars. It will help clear up your skin in about a week.
I too am dealing with some minor acne problems that are quite the pain. Most stuff did not work until I found Neutrogena body clear body spray. I would suggest to try very low doses and work your way up, accutane is pretty harsh on the liver. Hope it works for you, nothing sucks more than having a great body you are ashamed to show the world..
I've took multiply acne medication, most seem to make it worst. If it didn't make it worst while I took the medication it made it worst after I discontinue it's use. I've come to the point where I am ready to begin an Accutane regimen. I've obtain the medication several months back however I was on cycle and still had question I needed answer before I began to run it. Now I am determined to seek my answer and get my regimen under way.
I used to take it 15 years ago (dr prescribed), and the highest dose I took was 20mg. Taking 160mg is insane. It's way to harsh to even do anything close to that.
Not it's not, I took 160 for 3 of my 6 months on it, no sides except chapped lips.
Yeah I thought the same thing, just insane.. but if you do the "protocol" .5mg per kg of body weight I would be taking around 45 mgs ED.. I've talked to a few people via PM and they suggested 10-20mgs ED starting off and working your way up to around 40mgs being the most. I deleted the PM's and forgot who I spoke to about it. So I couldn't ask them when do I begin to increase the dosage and how long before I notice any change in appearance. From what I read it takes a couple months before you begin to notice any difference, and you have to run it for atleast 4-6 months, and a periodic maintain dosage afterwards... Which I also failed at getting any information on what would be considered a maintain dosage and the length on which I must take that as well.
