So, if you have been living under a rock and just now signing in you'll notice that H retired his mod tag. I see a lot of ppl have a lot to say. Some good some bad. I have something to say on it. For starters I'm the one who asked him to come back. After the whole Irish fiasco, it felt like H was exactly what we needed to remind ppl this site is going to run clean and honest and if you're going to challenge that you'll just get your legs chopped out from under you before you know what hit you. Regardless of who thinks what about how he operated as a mod , he was effective and I'm glad he accepted Noids request to jump back in board. Just because we have different opinions on how to moderate this site doesn't change a thing about the man himself. He is a great guy and I'd go to war for him if he needed me. Unfortunately most of you don't get to see that side of him. You just think he's a dick. He's like the enforcer on a hockey team. Under appreciated and abused. Nobody praises him after the victory but without him the game would have been different. Well love him or hate him he's a friend of mine and I won't sit back and let anyone drag his name through the mud. So if you have anything negative to say, do yourself a favor and keep it under your hat. You guys have no fucking clue how much this job sucks. It's not fun at all and it really gives you a cynical view of the site and members. You all think it's glitz and glamor with piles of free gear and all kinds of other free shit. Not even close to true. If we're lucky he will stick around the forums because he has a lot to offer. And is one of the most well traveled , articulate , intelligent fuckers around here. Ok I'm done! Nothin but love for you H! Don't disappear again. You've been to friggen Tibet and Greenland in the last 12 months, you can stick around a while.

We had a few run ins but I really liked him. Guy was all about business and keeping shit in line, I must say he was one of my favorite MODs on here and his best name that fit him yet was HllywdFUby I think that what it was hehe gonna miss seeing him rip people hearts out

I always thought fondly of Hllywdbdby! He was always an honest and fair Mod! He was always very supportive of us older members! I sincerely hope he comes back! He is extraordinarily knowledgeable and cerebral!
pers with the amount of rules broken here, the # of times people seem to have hissy fits cause they dont agree with something said to them or cant take critisism i dont envy you mods.
the job seems tough and when the board is running smooth (first gotta thank the admin right) means mods need to seem like dicks in order to weed out the BS, the rule breaking, the fighting, the karma whoring, etc.
props to all mods, "good" or "bad" every board needs a "bad" mod if u understand where i am coming from.
I LOVED being a MOD....I just wish BFG would have actually let me go to the houses of troublemakes----stupid rules....:)
I had my battles with H and he and I always forgot about it an hour later.....we're the type of guys that could bang heads in a drunken brawl and then go back in the bar and grab a beer and a good laugh.
You have to undersatnd his rigidity.....as a Marine, it was instilled in him long ago, and if you're one of the few people who have ever spoken to him in person as I have, you get the picture real quick---- thick Boston accent, brash voice, and all about eroids---he truly cares about the site, and you have to at least give him that.
Of course me----You guys know Im kind of opposite, so things were bound to flare up now and then, but they always worked out.

Ive only been here a short time, but had a good bit of interaction on the boards. Im nobodys fanboy or nuthugger, but I believe when a guy (or grrl) goes out of their way to help you, you should be respectful and thankful.
Ive seen guys I respect who didnt care for Hollywood and thats fine. Thats between them. He helped me when I needed it and he got a troll out of my way a time or two. He was a MOD. He doesnt have to be nice or our friend. He was a good one who did a great job of taking out the trash. A thankless job most dont appreciate til you need him. And he was pretty cool to at least one bumbling newb who needed his help.

Bottom line is it's their house and their rules and you don't like them then move on. I don't post much mostly just read forums and SI's for research, and I must say Hollywood was a no nonsense guy and if you fucked up he let you know. I've only been here for three months. But I fricking love it here. I haven't seen what it was way back in the day. What I can say is this. If you are interacting with a mod any mod in open discussion you guys let loose a little and can have fun. Even H. I haven't been in every forumn or every discussion but when I have seen him show up he's in and he's out. But you know he s been there and done it. And when it come s to the shitheads that have no reason to be here BOOM. See ya
I don't blame him, that mod game is hard work, I actually give him applause. It's like being a cop all day, eventually you become jaded and start hating people. Because I can understand both sides of the coin. An example would be a gym, if you workout in it and go home, you will enjoy it. Now if you owned/worked in that same gym, the dynamics completely shift. Now your worried about members, safety and all the behind the scenes stuff, that we all take for granted. They say owning a gym would be cool, I say na.....I'd rather just workout and leave. I'd rather just pop in on eroids and say my peace, than have it consume me and take my joy away. You guys have your hands full, hats off to mods.

never had any issue with him, i though he was good at straightening things up. i stepped back for a while because i was busy and it seemed like things were getting off track here for a bit, seems like things have improved.
