Lasik
ad
No more glasses yippee! Anyhow I'm having lasik tomorrow morning, I'm thrilled and horrified. Have any of you done this? Will it hurt after? The doctor says it won't but I don't believe him. It's a laser shot into your eyeball, sounds painful. "/

Glad to hear all is well Mrs.
TARANISGlad it went cool,little lady
I can see!!
It went well, except the little thingy they use to hold your eyes open hurt like hell. The dr said I had unusually small eye sockets :/
Feel great today though
I was expecting your first post to look a little something like this:

Yeah I'm amazed at how clear I can see. I had a follow up this morning and the doctor said he has never had a patient heal this fast.My right eye is a little blurry still but my left is 20/10
TARANISGood luck pretty lady, hope all goes well

Thanks guys, I'm headed that way. No computer for a while, but next time I log in I will be able to see!
Good luck and a speedy recovery to you!
My wife had it several years ago, money well spent.
Glad mine hasn't. Otherwise she'll wake up and realise she's way too attractive to be with me
lmfao nice that made me laugh
Good luck today U!
There's a really annoying guy at my gym (really nice guy though) who comes walking into my office every day just to chat about worthless crap. One of the topics as of late was lasik. He's been going on for weeks about it. He's always worn glasses since he was a kid, he's early 50's now. Well he had it done a week ago and gave me a play by play every damn day. Which turned out to be pretty interesting. He said immediately after the procedure he had PERFECT vision. Then the days following it progressively went to complete shit. Fuzzy and irritated eyes with worse vision than before surgery. Then suddenly, voila. Perfect vision. And he can't stop talking about how great it is. Which after 50 years of shit vision I would be going off about it too. Its an amazing procedure with an impeccable success rate. You'll love it.
I had it done. Its worth it. Painless. Takes like no more than 10 minutes all said and done. just follow the post surgery instructions and youll love the results
Good luck, both my parents had it done. Worked perfectly. When I saw las lasiks I was thinking you were gonna be asking about durietics. I'm glad you're not lol.
I had it done a year ago, best 2 grand I ever spent. The process itself is nothing at all a slight discomfort when they apply the negative pressure to your corneas and you will be completely blind for a minute or 2 from this (kinda weird) but not bad. I was able to see perfectly right after but it dried my eyes out and burned for the remainder of the day almost like a flash from welding (my job). The doc prescribed me 2 valium for this so I could sleep through it. You'll be fine nothin to it.
Ps. When they fire that lazer it smells like burnt pork chops.....lol
best of luck for tomorrow
My cornea were too thin for Lasik so I had to get PRK. I got it done almost 10 years ago and my vision went from 20/200 to 20/10. To this day, my vision is still 20/10. Next to buying a few kits of seros, it was the best 4k I ever spent lol.
I had dry eyes for a few months that required using eye drops and a little discomfort for a few weeks but the benefits far outweighed these two minor issues. Good luck!
That's good to hear. They said they would put small plastic plugs in my tear ducts to keep my eyes moist :/ I guess I will see how that goes.
I have had it done twice. Didnt hurt me at all, your eyes will just feel dry for a few days after. One of the best decisions I ever made.
y twice?
It's possible that your vision may change after the procedure especially if you are a younger person. A few years after the surgery my vison started to fade a bit so they can give ya another zap with the laser to correct it. Good luck!!
Wifey, jfit, had it done last year. Yes it was painful for about a day afterwards but she slept through most of the day. She would do it again without hesitation. She loves it. Good luck!
Right on, thanks
No it doesn't hurt at all...... i had all 3 done! yeah all 3!... i grew that third one after eating contaminated fish from the lake at Chernobyl
lol
LoL
One of my close mates is an optical surgeon. Apparently no pain at all, but the smell as it burns through the lens is nasty.
Maybe I shouldn't have told you that?
Good luck for tomorrow. Let us know his it hoes.
Ah, burnt eyeball smell. Looking forward to it lol
Take a peg for your nose!
