+ 1 My experience with EQ so far..... some weird but seemingly great effects. Wondering if others get the same effect + input
So I'm 3 weeks into a sust/EQ cycle now about ( 420/500 with EQ frontloaded first 2 weeks ).... and the appetite thing is really hitting hard now. Up to 8 meals a day again - my sweet spot historically I prefer to space out my cals a little more than some. Get too damn hungry too fast even without Bold.
Weird thing is historically it's been very hard for me to get down 400g of protein from whole food sources in a day, next to impossible, had to resort to some shakes to make up the difference not to mention VARY HARD to digest it all.... but the last several days? Not even almost a problem. Just some free-weight section clearing gas lol. I could go 500g protein with shakes if I wanted to. But the thing is, I want nothing but RED MEAT. The thought of chicken even is just a turn off and poultry is generally my go to. Fish I'm indifferent towards but since I don't want to eat that Chinese tilapia garbage I've stuck to beef. Fresh fish ( I'm by the ocean ) is wayyyy too expensive just stupid prices when eating big.
I'm usually a HUGE carb craver on cycles - now I could give a shit less about carbs within reason anyways still need some. I don't think I've ever craved protein directly instead of carbs I feel like my ass is on backwards. No issues eating a giant salad ( TOPPED WITH SIRLOIN ) or huge plate of steamed broccoli/carrots instead of rice or oats I just want my BEEF.
Generally all the protein slows down my digestion - not at all this time. USUALLY excessively eating red meat would hurt my digestive system bigtime like cripple it without supplementing with enzymes.... should I force myself to mix up my meats or should I let myself keep sticking to 70-80% beef since that's what my body seems to want? This is weird for me. Very weird.
I might be one of those people EQ is a miracle compound for.... don't wanna speak too soon though. Just curious on how it effects everyone elses macro craving - and if I'll die from eating sirloin 6x a day.

but its the only compound ive used that i get serious hunger pains i mean nots in my stomach
if i dont eat every 2hrs.
RustyhookerThere's several new forums on ammonia and excess protein intake. Meat is just tasty. Especially if previously your diet was mainly fish and poultry. If you see it as potentially harmful maybe make your meals blended. Poultry and beef over your brown rice and veggies. My last cutter was purely fish/poultry. Lost my energy a ton. Buddy points out the iron needed in blood meats. Energy right back fully.
Frontloaded. Watch for back pumps. Taurine as needed if they come on string. Taurine quickly with lower sugar, try diet or low carb redbull etc. High source of it.
If food craving for red meat only persists, i wonder if you have any deficiencies? Bloods were good?
AnonPre-cycle bloods were perfect my friend. Strange you mention taurine, I always take it close to a workout with magnesium to help avoid cramps but for some reason I find myself taking it a few times a day now ( 1g at a time ) since my low back in particular is feeling very stuck/tight taking a lot of massaging to loosen up the muscles/stuck fascia (just took me three days get one lat unstuck and start flaring out again) .... which is normal since I have scoliosis it's a constant struggle.
I try to listen to my body to the best of my ability and give it what it wants.... didn't think much of the taurine but I've tripled my intake of that just in the last week ( generally before self-treatment deep tissue massages ) so who knows could be instinct. My energy levels have been OK so far only the normal up and down you'd expect from eating so much not counting cals but I have to be at 5,000 minimum since I eat nuts with every meal adds in that extra 1,100 a day without trying.
Diet was previously almost exclusively poultry with red meat a few times a week previously even on previous cycles. I'll keep my red meat intake high, venison and lean sirloin as the sources no cheap fatty crap, but I'll try and to split to 50/50 give or take with some chicken/fish. Time will tell.

Wanting to eat everything in the house is what has me worried about EQ. It sounds like a great compound with the lean muscle gains and vascularity which has me consididering running it for my contest prep. My next cycle is going to be with EQ to test the waters and see if it wants me eating everything in site. If that is the case, it is not going to be a good contest prep compound for me. I do have lots of venison in the freezer which is about as lean of red meat you can get, so I should be all set there.
AnonI usually grab about 5 lbs. of venison a week from a local health food store he's a nice dude sells it at a good price. Love the stuff.
In my humble opinion so far - it could be used as part of a prep for ME because of the type of cravings I'm having. I want clean meats and enjoy my veggies ( which I'm eating by the pound lmao ) and am not going after the carbs or even craving shit like pizza. But this is a very early analysis as I'm only 3 weeks in we shall see.
Historically - I cave and eat garbage from time to time on cycle because I crave simple sugars.... idk what's up with that. That's the reason I posted this actually, it's completely changed what my body has desired on all other forms of gear. Very interesting to say the least.
AnonI usually dislike eating salads/steamed veggies and desire complex carbs instead is what I meant by that bit. Salad + meat is actually satisfying albeit only for 90 minutes..... no matter what I eat I'm getting hungry again after 90 minutes though.
Hmm interesting case. I'm excited for my EQ run coming up soon for sure, heard lots of great things about EQ. I wonder if your body is craving red meat for the heme iron in it, since EQ has such a strong capability at increasing RBCs it would make sense to me. Just a thought. I'm probably going to give blood right before my cycle and again as soon as I can.

I had a dream last night about grilling and eating a filet mignon ( my favorite cut of course ). I am not kidding. That is how badly I want the stuff!
Def be careful with excessive red meat. I've always found my body craves foods that it needs so it's not the worst thing.
If you can afford grass fed beef, go for it. It has a more balanced amount of healthy omega fats (fats that provide good cholesterol, necessary for us users).

Just be careful on your intake of red meat; lots of fat to be had in it, grab some ground sirloin 95% lean 7% fat and always grab those nice lean cuts of meat. Fat is not a bad thing but when you crave meat all the time you might end up ingesting too much sat fat. I wake up in the middle of the night starving so I grab a protein bar then go back to bed. EQ has its place in the kitchen that's for sure.
Anonsirloin tips were on sale! I went to three different stores grabbed 24 pounds of them leanest cuts I could find LOL yeah it's pretty lean stuff I'm real picky with getting the leanest cuts possible. I Would have got more but my freezer is only so big damn good price on it :(
I'll scale it back a bit. I know a few days of going caveman on the red meat isn't gonna do anything but I figure weeks on end not the best idea. I too wake up usually about twice a night once at least and have to eat something to go back to sleep haha I'm fine with it I leave stuff in the fridge to heat up or drink some eggs/whey and pass back out.
