Body Symmetry

ad

Anybody have any ideas how to correct a body symmetry problem? I have a noticeably bigger right side calf muscle and right bicep due to working conditions and body/strength favoritism on the job site over the years. I was considering only working the one side bicep/calf for a month or two but that doesn't seem like it will be very productive to maintaining and reaching my overall goal. -THANKS-

Is it possible to switch things up at work? When I roofed I taught myself to run the tear off shovel with my left hand for just that reason. If your goal is a symetrical good looking physique Id say correct the problem now or it's just going to keep getting worse. You dont have to completely stop working the right side, just do a couple sets each time to maintain while you bring the other side up.

Thanks....I started doing more isolation exercises this week adding a additional burnout set for my weaker side at the end of each exercise.

I agree with this. After your compound lifts do a few isolation lifts. Stopping one side wont help anything. The burnout is a very good idea as well to really work that side. It will grow. The isolations will also take out any favoritism you might show on compound lifts. You may be favoring one side which only further throws your symmetry out of whack. Machines will help with this also since they force you to have proper form. They will definatley even out with proper form and isolation.
