Are you upfront with your Doctor about your steroid usage?
ad
Just curious if you guys tell your doc's your complete history. It seems like it would be helpful if your doc new your whole story. The Doc I see is pretty chill, even wrote me a scrip for medical weed. While I doubt he would ever be a collaborator in my cycling, I bet I could be upfront about my intentions or history.
How about you?

i didnt spill the beans until after my 3rd testosterone test - first 2 were borderline for hrt according to "the chart" which in my opinion is way off - so i went on my own trt well back on cycle -lol and he was laughing pretty damn hard at our appointment - he was semi curious of how large my balls were and showed me a picture of a bull lol -he is taking care of my blood work and offers advice on keeping smart - good doctors are their to help you - i dont knowwhats up with the ones who kick you out the door but those arent doctors
I told the surgeon after he asked about it. After he explained what the tendon would look like in the way that it tears for the typical user, I knew he had me. I didnt have insurance so it was all cash.
I've cycled on and off several years and only since joining the eroid family and doing my homework did I work up the mustard to talk about my usage to my doctor. I DID NOT GO TO MY PRIMARY. My regular doctor would have been lost. I did my homework, luckily I live in a big city, I found a internal medicine doctor with specialty in sports medicine. Prior to opening his practice he was a the doctor for a division 1 college athletic department. For the first time in 7 years I was totally honest about my cycling and he was surprisingly supportive. We had a bold conversation that touched on proper pinning to the reliability of my source. He checked my liver, ran labs and made me drop trou to check the testies... Never once did he stay to stop.. He just advised me on how to be smart...
It was a weight off my shoulders to know what the roids where doing to the inside of my body as well as the outside. Point being this is your life and we only get one.. Do you homework and you can find a doctor that gets it...
only way to do it....great post sir
cool story!
Thanks for the insight, It shines a light of hope in finding understanding Doctors with our AAS use in mind. Once You get a hold of One, You Never let go!....
I wouldn't tell my Dr. for the same reason Wheels mentioned. But a good Dr. should be able to tell.
wheels is 100% correct, you might as well forget trying to obtain life insurance if steroids is on your medical record.
My hat's off to those brave enough to trust their doctor. But I never will because no matter how trustworthy the doctor may be I will NEVER trust an insurance company. I was in the mental health field for several years and know the laws on patient confidentiality very thoroughly.
There is NO secrecy/right to confidentiality between your MD and your insurance company. Your insurance company is part of the "Treatment Team" and can find out everything.
If you ever have any really expensive major medical issues or a life insurance payout, those bastards will look hard for any reason to cancel the policy or refuse payout.
I'm not a paranoid survivalist, I've just seen insurance companies do some cold-blooded shit to people with renal failure, dying of cancer, etc. first-hand working in a dialysis clinic.
Very good point.
Where i come from its hard to find a hrt doctor willing to help. I found one 4 years ago and i would never tell him that i add to my hrt dosing. Why would he RISK his dr practice so i can screw around. Remmember if something happens to you or you screw up and get in trouble whose shoulders does it fall on ( his ).
I went to my doctor to have blood test, BUT didnt tell about my testosterone usage after he saw the results
he started laughing because the levels were sky high, anyways he was cool with it.
i've known him long time and hes asian. he said come in regularly to monitor bloods.
check my results in profile.
in the end were all human no fear
I let my doctor in on everything. Fuck that secrecy bullshit . Personally when it comes down to your health it is always wise to let the Doc know. I went to get a tooth pulled some time ago an my dentist noticed the anesthetic was ineffective. He seemed puzzled. I let him know I was on some juice so he doubled up the dosage and I lost all feeling to my face.Mission complete .lol
