How Not to do a Cycle
I spent $350 on gear, PCT supps and ancillaries after spending a year researching this subject. I did a test enath 500mg/week (split) with a Superdrol 20mg ED kick along with a test prop 100mg EOD kick and taper. I was taking Aromasin 12.5mg EOD while on cycle.
I'm now 2 weeks into PCT, and I can safely say that I totally botched this cycle based on my results. I'm just not all that much bigger than I was. I have a bit more definition and I lost some BF, but otherwise, my intended bulk cycle was a complete failure. Def not worth $350.
I was taking in 1-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight. Most of this protein came from a whey protein powder shake mix. My intuition tells me that this is where I went wrong - diet. I guess I need to talk to you guys about how to eat. I had heard diet was everything, but when it came down to it, I guess I just had trouble eating that much food. I am not a hard gainer. I love food. (I weigh 200lbs) But taking in the recommended 2g protein per pound of bodyweight proved to be very difficult.
So next time, I'm going to make sure my diet is in check. Also, I was wondering if 500mg/week test enath is considered light? I have MPB so there is certain gear that I need to avoid. I'm okay with test as long as I'm taking finasteride. I could use some advice on what to run next cycle that will guarantee to make me bigger. Maybe just run the same cycle but make sure my diet is in check?

I don't understand how you can attribute anything to the gear without factoring your training? I mean you should see results just from the sdrol alone, even if the test was a bit too low in my book. From a medical standpoint steroids were designed to preserve and (in most cases) allow muscle growth...even in a caloric deficit state. Just something to think about.
I would try for 5 to 6 meals a day consisting of 800 to 1000 calories per meal. Add in 2 whey protein shakes per day. One post work out and one before bed.

definatley your diet bro, you need to eat massive amounts to grow, my breakfast is usually around 3-4000 calories, easy way to look at is like this, breakfast, lunch and tea, make sure you have anoher meal in between them plus another one before bed, shakes are just for conveiniece, if you are on the go and cant eat or to get in extra. have a big breakfast mate its one of the most important meals, your breaking your fasting, also eat a huge meal as soon as you can after training, like either steak and potatoes with veggies, or chicken with rice and veggies, and a shake, just examples!!! food is the absolute most important part for growing while lifting weights. I have some killer diet plans pm if you want some dieting advice.

BigBmajWhat exactly does a 4000 calorie breakfast look like? Are you sure you are counting properly? I can put 2000 down and it's a lot of work and I'm stuffed. I just can't imagine you are eating 4000 calories in one meal, everyday. You should be 300 lbs if that's the case. It certainly can't be clean food.

well I was actually 264 pounds my man, about 240 now,
5 scrambled eggs made with full cream milk and salt, with 4-5 pieces of bread with tomato sauce, I don't toast the bread, as I like it to be dense,
either 2 big bowls of kellogs nutra grain, or 10 weet bix, with sugar an full cream milk
1 big mass gainer shake dymatize super mass gainer), with 3 eggs, 2 scoops peanut butter and a shotty of olive oil with a liter of full cream milk, also take my vitamins with breakfast and I also put creatine in my shake, and this is for bulking mate, I don't have the six pack etc I go for the big, bulky gorilla look,

6 egg whites and 3 whole eggs
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup blueberries
You would get your protein, carbs, and fat but wouldn't go over board.

I wouldn't want the poster to think he needed 100 grams of pure fat for breakfast to bulk properly. I think it's exaggerations like "my breakfast alone is 4000 calories that makes this place shitty.
I can eat 4800 calories a day and make excellent gains. No one needs to eat a nasty 4000 calorie breakfast unless they want to look like a fucking slob.

i see 3 things not right here
1) protein shakes are good for an extra suppliment they dont replace chicken,tuna or brown rice
2) 500mg/week is a basic cycle - your aromasin likely killed all your estrogen - you can make great gains off of 500mg/week of test e alone if your work out and diet are in check - im up over 25 lbs with 3 weeks to go on 500/wk of test cypionate ( same thing basically)
3) bulking means eating at least 5 times a day -check out brown rice ,ive never met anyone who didnt bulk up when eating that stuff - eggs are fairly cheap - have a protein shake with 2 or 3 egg yolks before you work out and thats it - drink water lots of it .
4) (i said 3 right) blood work you need to do it not only to confirm the gear is legit ,but that your not killing estro with the ai's
in general though id say your diet is the first thing that hindered gains - hope this helps .

tLAMARwThis is my opinion and only an opinion, which i'm sure i will take shit for, but PCT is total bull shit and cycling is total bull shit. there's really no point in cycling, it will always be a seesaw effect gain weight, lose weight, gain weight, lose weight. if you're going to jump on aas then i think it should be a commitment other wise you might as well stay natural. yes the steroids will help you get to your genetic limit faster and beyond that but as soon as you stop you will never get past your genetic limit without staying on. and in my opinion it's not worth it when you couldve got there naturally with just more time and a good diet and training protocol. look up former pro bodybuilders and then look at them now. for instance flex wheeler he's even on a small hrt dose of test and looks nothing even close to what he was before. cruise on small dose of test then blast high amounts of test and add in another compound like tren or deca then cruise again then blast again you will keep your gains from the cycle and always continue to get bigger and make progress. but keep in mind thats a life long commitment that isnt really worth. because lets be honest theres no money in bodybuilding.

How does one know what their genetic limit is without years of training? If you haven't pushed yourself the hardest you can before steroids, then you'll never know.

They'll get you straight diet wise.
You , as well as many others, mention how much $ their AAS cost, when in fact the compounds will pretty well always be the CHEAP part of a cycle. When I add up the food bill for a 12 week cycle its easily 1500$+.
You'll realize this when your diet gets straight. Its spendy but at least you wont waste $350 worth of gear;)
Although diet is paramount in any training routine..your on the juice..numerous studies conducted on burn victims, the elderly and other special populations, tell us that anabolic steroids will work to build muscle even in the most catabolic conditions, and in the absence of training. We see the same thing with people who have terrible training programmes but continue to make gains because they’re juicing. For optimal results, steroids are added to a proper programme and diet, but they’ll help even if you’re doing everything wrong..so i would say ur juice was complete bunk as even if you had a bad diet and trained like a pussy you would have gained weight as thats what they were designed for.
I didn't want to mention that, but now that you did, I'll go into it a bit. I didn't want to give a bad review or talk negavitivley about a source because I am new and I thought there was a good chance I was the problem. However, it felt as if this gear was bunk. Again, my intuition tells me I am the problem and the gear is fine. The SD didn't do a thing. I was at least expecting some terrible sides but i got nothing. I got experienced worse sides from Epistane as I did this SD. As far as the test goes, I did have some night sweats, but otherwise I felt absolutely nothing. My source was Artic. I know Artic is good. Is it possible that my batch could have been bad? I don't think so. But maybe.
Sirk1981I might not have gone back far enough but, BLOODS will help determine Bunk gear. I'm not saying one way or the other about the gear. it really helps with peace of mind as far as the gear goes. But it was said on here that the gear is the cheap part of the cycle.

If the SD didn't do anything I am really surprised... I will hit about 20mg Dbol befoe the gym and if I accidentally put weight pressure on my lower back the pump will be so severe I have to cool down for about 10 minutes before I can workout any longer.. but SD is supposed to be 5x better than Dbol so maybe just try a new source or personally contact your source and let them know how you feel.. with all the competitors out there, they definitely want to make sure ALL their customers are happy!!
With an admittedly shitty diet and possibly a sub par training regiment I wouldnt reccomend spouting off to a source about bunk gear.
Confuses me than to why he would even start to use AAS..
I myself have had lots of bunk gear, but i never ever blame the source as he is just selling it and not making it. Its the labs who are the problem. Dont use them labs again but your source is good.
Do you know how many calories you were getting?
I'm ashamed to say I do not know. I only paid attention to protein. I ate 2 square meals per day which contained mostly protein, along with 3 whey protein shakes ED.
I eat two meals in the first three hours of my day.

Most of us have made a major mistake our first cycle. You'll get it down. I'd def hit up SDM on some free meal planning. If you're small, you can never forget about your carbs lots of them.

There's your answer. You're relying on supplements for the majority of your protein and you aren't eating anywhere nearly enough food. I eat every 2.5 hours, 80% of my protein comes from food.

I think it's more common than you realise. I gas a similar conversation with a couple of young lads in the gym a couple of months back. These 2 lads thought I was joking when I told them what I eat on a daily basis. All the supplement marketing etc sometimes makes people think it's the way to go, but they are just that, supplements.
It's a learning curve. We learn from our mistakes.

Not arguing with the study, and not sure of your intentions with mentioning earlier but perhaps giving newbs the idea thats its ok to dick ass around on a cycle because they will still gain weight, isn't the best idea.
not want to encourage them to dick around with them but if they are going to then nothing anyone says or does will change there mind.90% of people taking juice are just dick ass-ing about on the cycle as not many have the correct info they need to get the most of the cycle cos lets face it not all juicers visit this site for info. I was just saying even a shit diet and poor ass training whilst on good quality juice would have gained him some weight. So since he was training ok..diet no perfect but better than some he should have gained more so it looks like bunk gear hands down. Bloods will prove it.
