+ 2 Questions Regarding Legal Issues When Prescribed Hormones for Replacement Therapy
Bros, Idk if this is a stupid question... But I am just doing a bit of studying tonight... However, Google is not helping me much with one of my questions... This question is: Are the penalties for possession and/or use of steroids any different if you are, in fact, prescribed hormones for replacement therapy? Like... If you bought some gear via the internet. It is not the drug that is technically prescribed to you, so I am sure the penalties are the same... But anyone know whether or not? Actually, also a second question. If you "mega-dosed" the stuff you ARE prescribed, what would the penalties be in that case? Any lawyers out there? Or future lawyers? Or anyone with experience in this area of the law even from the shit end of it? Ha. Thanks in advance.
I am trying to learn all I can about these compounds and their use... Including the penalties. I know the penalties without a prescription, but Google's letting me down on these particular situational questions.
Btw... This is regarding the United States. I suppose that is an important detail to add.

I'll chime in, at least for Texas. Docs have a specific license to prescribe "controlled substances", and all new and current prescriptions are tracked by dps numbers down here. If a Doc prescribes 1500mg of test per week to someone it would throw up flags in multiple systems. If he gets enough "attention" the state can step in and suspend his license. He could still prescribe most meds, but none of the readily abused ones. As for importing extra, carries the same charge either way. Be the same thing as the doc giving me 10 painkillers when my shoulder hurts, and then me trying to buy 50 more on a street corner.
I have a coworker that got busted buy oxy from some one and he had a legal script for 90pills a month. He bought 200 and the cops confiscated it until they verified he had a script and they let him go. No jail or nothing they just kept him in the Pricent for like 4 hours

I know it is illegal. My questions pertained to whether or not the offenses would be viewed the same if you were prescribed the same exact medication as someone who had no medicinal need for the products whatsoever. Whether or not that would be taken into account and what not. If I were a police officer and/or judge, and someone illegally possessed a drug that they are prescribed, just from a non-prescription source, I would take that into account. Idk.
Oh sorry, so I asked my ex-girlfriend who is an NYPD cop she told me if you get busted and they are from a pharmacy with the label no matter the quantity they most likely will let you go. If it's without a script label your going to sleep in jail. Depending on how many types of juice you have you would be charge with possession or distribution. She said your only fucked if your charged with distribution. Possession a judge will lecture you about what can happen to your health and maybe give you small fine or community service if the judge doesn't like you. She said not to try to take it from state to state because the Feds are not as forgiving as the city cops

What really maters is what the D.A. wants to do with it. USUALLY, personal use of illegal steroids is very low on their priorities and would get you a very light penalty, if it got that far. Now, having a huge stash, which could paint you in the light of a seller/distributor, could drastically up that. So take that into consideration if this is a worry to you. (I work in the legal field).
Also, you asked if you could get charged for over dosing your legal prescription. 99% of the time, no. The doctor may cut you off, but that is it.

Lol there are a few COPS episodes where they bust steroid users... very interesting to watch... but the busts it seems they are looking for are big fish with A TON OF GEAR.. distribution purposes, raws, labs etc.. in my area if I were caught with my puny bit that I have and it was just for self use I honestly don't think they would even care..
Under this new controlled substance act they are cracking down on all fronts. The lot codes and dosages are recorded to crack down on abusers. So if they have a hard on for you your fucked. As stated below, however, they have bigger fish to fry and it is unlikely. It is a schedule 3 drug and the penalties for possession on the first offense will result in a fine and probation. If they catch you with a lot, as I'm sure most of us are subject to, you will get up to five years for a first offense. +1 for research brother!

You can be charged if you have different compounds. The thing is if you have what looks like a legit bottle of test and you are prescribed it who would ever know? LE is more worried about real drugs like coke, dope and all those crazy pills kids at raves take. Don't take so much to heart. The drunks and crack heads keep LE plenty busy; you are not a concern lol

yes im sure they can charge u w/ possession of steroids if u are using a different brand then the pharma brand. especially if its anything other then testostrone. and if u got enough vials they can charge u w/ intent to distribute, which is like 2 and half years in prison and a felony.. u would have to get caught with it, and be very stupid to get caught. they are not gunning for average steroid users
Yeah, I highly doubt someone will come kicking in my door for ordering a couple personal cycles... But you never know. They can be dicks if they wanna be. And I also know that they target the "small fish" so that they can threaten them for information in order to get to the "big fish." Idk, man. Ha. Just reading about and trying to learn all I can.
